@@californiadoll6273 I wasn't trying to minimize how terrifying this would be for anyone at any age. It is just jarring to see someone so close in age to my baby sister going through something like this. The younger the person, the more it hurts to realize their youth and innocence is marred by the trauma of illness. Seeing a person face a potentially life ending illness at such a young age feels unfair (though I know cancer and life are not fair). No one deserves to go through the hell that is cancer. And it is tragic to see someone robbed of their early 20s; a time in which many of us never imagine having to face our own mortality.

@@aminatadiallo8197I’m now 76 and a 25-year breast cancer survivor. I understood what you meant by your earlier comment. I hate it that young people get cancers. It’s bad enough when it happens to someone in her fifties (as was my situation) or older, but at least that person has had decades of living, and can have decades more if treatments work and one has good luck and is able to afford those treatments. For someone much younger (or a child or even an infant) to have a cancer, life is just starting. I wish your sister and you everything good.

Thank you for your story Lexie. This is the first story of someone younger I have seen as many of these stories are told by post menopausal women. I just found out that I have a 20mm endometrial stripe which is a bit worrying for me as I am in a space in my cycle where that is really thick so I’ve been researching this while waiting for my biopsy. I haven’t had much bleeding or weird periods but I have been to the ER for abdominal pains which much like you, haven’t resulted in much. The only reason I know about this inside today is because my GYN send me for an internal ultrasound to check on an ovarian cyst (which was gone btw). It’s so hard being a younger woman because many of our symptoms are just blamed on our periods as if we can’t get cancer at younger ages.

Hi Lexie, hope your journey this time around goes well. Please start considering by changing your eating habits. Sugar feeds cancer cells. Keto diet is highly recommended by oncologists. Going to coffee shops is great, but don't have them include sugar in your coffee. Anything cooked with seed oils (vegetable oil, corn oil, safflower, etc.) are highly inflammatory. Please research cancer along with keto intermittent fasting carnivore sugar (all the terms). There are doctors on RUclips that talk about it. If you keep eating a standard American diet, cancer will keep coming back. I pray you see this message
