I feel like if casio release this watch alongside dw-6900 in today, this watch would actually outsells dw-6900 because dw-6600 display is very close to the dw-5600 and more retro and practical. Its weird how this revolutionary watch is the first g-shock to have EL backlight is just forgotten by casio. I love the dw-6900, but how come the dw-6900 gets a 25th anniversary model releases but dw-6600 get nothing
The 6900 became famous due to the screen layout hence why it's more popular as a fashion watch. It also appeared on the wrist of famous celebrities so that also added to it's popularity. People want a watch that looks cool when they wear it. The 6900 achieves that.
mine got a whole new housing 10 years ago, housing and strap completely fell apart after 15 years, it seems to me that it no longer has the original housing
Hi, I'm wondering about Resin rot. I have a 1994 6600, the "Electro luminescence" one in black, my birth year watch. When I got it, the original resin case and strap was obviously aging and eventually started cracking, so now it's basically the 1994 module, but all resin parts are new. To get to my question: Will the resin rot regardless of use, or will the "mint" edition in this video have several years of the original resin?
+Judie Not a lot people know about this ever since Casio discontinued this. Casio must have their own reason of doing things. Just have to keep up with them~
I got a mint condition one on ebay from a guy who cleans them up and services them. I paid about 130 USD. Which isn't expensive, but considering I could buy a new 6900 solar for less than that, then it's expensive
The popular vintage models will always cost a bit more, but If you take good care of your dw 6600 you can easy swap it for 2 new dw 6900 some day in future.
I remember in my platoon everyone had this watch except the alcoholics they could only afford the casio F91
They should bring it back for The 35TH Anniversary.
I dont know why casio discontinued this model, it's a great model even navy seals use it on the battlefield
The cow is not giving milk anymore and today the seals are using Rangman, Frogman and Mudman. But yes it was,, and still is a great model to own.
+Enzaie You're right. Like it or not The Master of G series is far more superior than this one. Price aren't the issue for military I believe.
Just got the 6600pc5 & the 6640. Would love an original but they're so expensive!!
It's dw-6600 is coming back 2023!!!!! In my opinion it's much better than 6900, one of the best round full-digital watches in casio history.
The 6640 is out!

i love your videos about gshock thanks
+kixeye315 bullet Thanks for your support man!
hey dude how you clean a scale in the glass? i find it hard to clean the water marks on the glass
Water marking`s can only appear if the glass is not clean in the first place, just go at it with full force and anny glas cleaning fluid should do it.
beautiful watch
+Ricardo Ortiz Agree
*_A watch review without going through the Modes and functions? Only Target Time in Stopwatch Mode? Come on baby........_*
So hard to get this model in mint condition today cause the designe was way ahead of its time, so keep it. Btw. it`s called "Cable Guy"
