Who does not love an old classic casio timepiece which brings back old memories. To bad no solar charge then you would not have to worry about batteries.

The little touches like the star, the golden bucket and the back are so cool, but that matte rubber is lovely!
Great video. Classic design. I enjoy dw6900 styling and case design but the dw6600 is much simpler and better use of the display. No need for the three dials so the time display and everything else is much more clear and crisp.
Tried to grab one when they dropped but just wasn’t quick enough. Absolutely cracking watch!

When I was a kid, my mom got me the DW-6600 when it first came out.
When I heard the news of the DW-6640, I immediately bought one. Brings back so much memories. I love this G-Shock. It has a special place in my heart.

One of my favorite models a side from the 5600 square I hope they release more colors in the future love having that light up in the front.

Bought my 1st G Shock (GAB2100) about 18 months ago and I find myself wearing it more than any other in my collection. Time to expand that GShock collection I think.

The only negative thing is: why does Casio still sink the adjust button so deep that you have to have some tool to operate it 🤯
I ordered one and really like it. But I did email Casio regarding the bio based resin. While they failed to comment on the longevity, this is what they had to say: “Bio Based Resin is similar in mechanical properties to our Tough resins. Bio Based Resin offers the highest possible content of ingredients obtained from plant-based sources while still maintaining durability and reliability. The advantage of Bio Based Resins are that there are no harmful substances that tough resin does have.”
I also love the small touches in this watch. Especially the gold clasp.
It's an incredible piece. At first I wasn't sure I'd like the all black look, but I love it. Hope they continue production with a lot more colourways. 👏

That's an awesome reissue indeed and I immediately wanted to buy one as soon as I saw it. However, G-Shock came up with the 6600PC-5 a little later, and now I just can't decide which one I want😅

Can't forget this watch,my dad luckily got its ancestor after G-Shock stopped manufacturing it,he would always wear it as it was more dear to him then me(when i showed this video to him he startedto tell me about his watch i knew the watch was dear to him but i didn't know its backstory),he quit his job few years ago and now he is just barely getting income from this job,thanks for making a video about it and my dad said something for the giveaway he said that 'don't pick my son's comment and if picked just give it to another person' he wants someone else get to know it's beauty again thank you very much

It would be nice to wear every time i go to the mosque to pray. Its water resistant so no need to take it off while making wudu, it won't scratch if you put it on the ground while praying your salah and finally when youre heading out you dont have to worry about sudden rain. Very convenient watch.

This DW-6640 looks marvelous. Unfortunately I didn’t get one. Got a DW-5040 though, but I would love to add the DW-6640!
I love the stealth and militaristic look of this. I too am a bit disappointed about the apparent phasing out of EL tho. I think too, if the light button had the old styled “G” embossed on it that it would have also been a cool detail.
