Seems like they could have done a bit better for access to the frunk. You may find with the higher lip and putting stuff in and out may be a bit harder to get to. Like the Lightning frunk better with the loading heights
I have an R1S LA sliver with Mountain black. I changed it from Ocean Coast because I want it ASAP
I went back and forth on whether to change it to BM or Forest Green but I think I’m going to stay with the OC. Your silver R1S will look pretty sweet with BM though!
I reached out to Rivian and they said that for R1S orders the interior trim won't affect the delivery time. The ocean coast issue will be sorted out before they deliver any R1S's

R1T beats the M3P on 0-60 (just did it against a buddy at work and I had the all terrain tires...) which is amazing since it doesn't snap your neck while doing it.
Got my R1T Glacier White, forest edge all terrain tires a few weeks ago. I'm still in the honeymoon stage.

Congrats on the first mile drive. I hope that you get yours soon. My Lightning got delivered to the railyard on Thursday, waiting on it to finally get to the dealer so I can pick it up.

Shannon, didn’t know if I wanted to like or dislike. I liked because of you, not the Rivian! You are always mentioning your Tesla. What are you going to do with your EV6 Wind AWD? I’m getting the GT Line AWD, but you might do a future post on your EV6 that’s the same on other EV6’s.

We’ll probably trade the EV6 in for the R1T but I think we have a long while before that happens due to slow production. Congrats on the incoming GT-L! You are going to love it. Not sure if you follow on Twitter but I charged my EV6 at an EA DCFC yesterday and was receiving 236kW at 57% battery which is extremely impressive!

@@EVandChill Thanks for your reply. I initially got interested in the EV6 when it was only available in Europe and RUclips only had posts from Europe and watched them all. Finally the EV6 was introduced to the U.S. Few dealerships had the EV6. Many had no information. Kia’s spent lots of $$$ In California’s Wine Country. Why? To introduce the EV6 AWD and RWD to car magazine writers and those who post car walk arounds and driving experience to post on RUclips. I have now watched all of those. Initially planned on ordering the EV6 Wind AWD with Tech Package . Now will order the GT Line RWD. Just need to finish home building process in Texas, moved in and sell or trade in 2015 BMW 435i M Sport Coup. When I order will use your “Link” if I can’t find a dealership selling at MSRP.

We are picking up our MYP on Monday, exact same spec as yours actually. How many miles do you normally get out yours? We live in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, I know that is going to hurt us quite a bit. It really showed on our M3P. From talking with a guy in Roanoke VA he told me his normally gets close to the 300 mile mark. Was just wondering how yours did.
Hey Scott! Congrats on your incoming MYP! You will love it. It’s the best EV and vehicle we have been owned. We’ve taken multiple trips in ours now and average around 3.2mi/kWh on the interstate/hwy so that’s around 240-260mi in warm temperatures. I’d guess we’d get around 200mi in colder months on trips.
I have nooooo clue as to how MRS SHANNON is coping all these freaking EV's!!! lol I have to sell my 1st Born just to get the Kia EV6 I want!! Uggh!!! Oh well... I went to Tesla Sunday and ordered my Model 3. So.. I'm a happy camper. Any who... congratulations on the new Riiiiiide!

@@EVandChill Thanks Shannon! I got the Long Range. I'm soooo excited to get this EV. Oct-Nov time frame. I don't know if Tesla 'sometimes' delivery EARLY?? I hear the 2022 Model 3's have the new LFP cells? Which allows you to consistently charge to 100%.
That is super exciting 😃 We absolutely loved our Model 3 for the 3 years we had it. It’s super quick and drives really sporty!
Please do a range test with say... 500 lbs of cargo in the bed.
Also, you and Hubby should also test the Air suspension/rebound of the bed under heavy load, see how much of a pounding it can take.

OC Interior looks like a major delay. I don’t expect any deliveries this year with OC interior.
I believe the delay is all about the wood and not the leather so I wish they would just choose a dif wood.
Did you play with the settings at all. You change the drive modes and reset several things to change the ride. The Y is a car, so its not a fair comparison.

Have you heard that the Rivan company is in financial trouble? What kind of range do you get when you are towing anything from 7500 to 10000 lbs?

Rivian had $17 Billion cash in their balance sheet as of March 31st. I wish I was in that kinda trouble. If you are talking about stock price, that has nothing to do with company financial health. RJ just bought more shares. And even at current prices, Rivian market cap is larger than Kia, Nissan, Volvo and Subaru. They are a new company and as RJ said first day, it will be while before they are profitable. They are not in trouble. They are doing much better than Tesla was doing at this stage.
