No One Will Save You ended pretty nicely wrapped imo. It made complete sense to me. In a way she was an alien to her own people in her town. So she finally found her community. It's a sad and happy ending at the same time.

Night of the Creeps is very near and dear to my heart! Loved that movie since I was a kid! I also don't understand the hype for The Fourth Kind lol
I actually watched the hunger games movies for the first time like 2 or 3 months and I was incredibly surprised by how much I really liked the hunger games movies I was like damn these movies kick ass , I was truly missing out 10 years ago when the Hunger games movies were at their peak and I'm actually really excited for the new hunger games movies

Absolutely love these unscripted and chaotic monthly recaps. Lots of movies you watched. I actually think I watched one of the Hunger Games movies a while back and I remember thinking it was pretty great. I might actually check out the newest one when it comes out. Also when you mentioned watching The Dark Knight and saying you loved it I got so excited. Same for when you said that you haven't seen Batman Begins or The Dark Knight Rises and plan to. Even though the trilogy is not really my favorite set of DC movies, I do like what Nolan did with Batman, several characters and of course the epic cinematography. Although I do kind of put Matt Reeves' The Batman over some of the Nolan trilogy movies. But I'd love to hear your reviews for Begins and Rises and honestly I kind of hope you check out some of the other DC movies, more specifically their animated stuff cause there are some truly amazing stuff. Would love to know what you think about them. Also because I noticed on your patreon (which I need to join at some point) that you did some MCU reviews with your dad. If he would be down to watching some DC movies with you, I'd be so for hearing his thoughts in a review as well or stream. But anyway thanks for another amazing monthly recap Kylie! Can't wait for the Disney vlog as well as the other videos you have planned this spooky season!

I'm so happy you liked Night of the Creeps. It has such a campy charm to it. The director of this also directed Monster Squad. There's an Easter egg in the bathroom scene with the creeps. On the wall it says Monster Squad rules.
Its just too bad that Orion really destroyed his career with Robocop 3. Fred Dekker is a great director and his movies have charm but god damn Orion refusing to let Robocop be anything resembling the other two is just sad.
I always feel nice when I saw a couple of horror movies in one month but damn, you made me reconsider that maybe I don't watch enough haha
So, I really enjoyed the Fourth Kind, and I think I get why I liked it. The trick is to see it with a friend who is REALLY freaked out by aliens. Then it's a blast.
Another good monthly review of what you watched last month. Nice to hear about movies you like that are not horror films. I came home from work and my daughter Neomi said dad you have to watch this movie. It was Napoleon dynamite.😅. That movie like the Ferris Bueller is one of those gems you know you’re going to laugh at no matter how many times you watch it. Also nice to know something we just need to watch a movie later on again. There are just times we are just not in the mood at the time. Then later we watch it and enjoy it a lot more like The Thing 2011.

the biggest problem with Lords of Salem is that people go into it with the wrong mindset. They go into it expecting a straight up horror movie, which is really the wrong way to watch it. Its more of an arthouse movie. I enjoy it for what it is. Its not perfect or amazing or anything, but I knew the first time I watched it that it was more of an arthouse movie than anything.
I need to re-watch Hot Rod.. I've seen it once and didn't really care for it but Bill Hader saying "don't ask, just bring it" in response to his sister asking if they want grape punch lives rent free in my head, too funny..
I finally watched Open 24 Hours last night.. not sure if you saw it yet or not.. not bad, didn't love it didn't hate it but it has a cool atmosphere and it's shot well.. worth checking out..

Even though I have no investment in the Saw franchise, I'm glad to see Saw X getting a positive response.. maybe one day I'll give those films a chance to see if I'm sleeping on them.. I saw the original Saw in theaters with my girlfriend at the time and didn't like it, but she really liked it which made me give it a second chance and I still just didn't enjoy it.. it had nothing to do with gore/torture/etc, I just couldn't get invested into the story and I knew I wouldn't be interested when the films started to go full on squeamish, I hate that stuff when it's gratuitous.. didn't mind it in Audition because it's a genuinely great film, but FUCK the climax scene lol..
Loool right with ‘no will save you’ like it didn’t make sense that wasn’t swearing all the time cause of wt*f was happening . I do think ‘it lives inside’ was gorgeous, those basement shots were beautiful and I do agree with the actress . Her eyes were so captivating and were communicating so well. I haven’t ghost stories yet 😅 I’m worried now lol
It was a gorgeous movie i especially loved the production design and coloring!
I liked Slither when I originally saw it in theaters, but it did not age well for me upon a recent rewatch. Too cheesy for me. Night of the Creeps is an 80s hidden gem though for sure.

Glad you liked Night of the Creeps. I first watched that on Syfy back in the '90's when it was still called the Sci Fi Channel. They had a horror movie week hosted by Rob Zombie! And I just rewatched The Fog and I ended up loving it. I didn't really like it the first time. All the things I didn't care for the first time are all the things I ended loving this time. Go figure.

I highly recommend finishing The Dark Knight Trilogy it's a cinematic masterpiece I also recommend some DC shows like Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Superman & Lois, and My Adventures With Superman they are all so good Superman & Lois is really good to be honest when it was announced I was kinda hesitant to watch it because the CW doesn't have a good track record but when it came out I was blown away by how good it was I wish the Marvel shows were as good though sadly Disney and Warner Bros fell off a long time ago and it just makes me sad but at least we got The Batman Saga and Superman & Lois so that's good

I agree that fear being portrayed in an over the top manner can be really infuriating. Oddly enough, I feel like Renfield did a much better job at portraying fear in an effective and subtle way. For example, take the scene where Dracula invades Renfield’s apartment. The angrier he gets and the more submissive and scared Renfield becomes is eerily similar to an abusive relationship in the real world, and the audience can tell how scared Renfield is by how his voice is trembling and he’s doing everything he can not to cower in fear. That’s a LOT more thoughtfully written than just “scared person hyperventilating”.

While I don't like the story of the fourth kind of the movie as a whole.......BUT the found footage parts where the aliens "possess"(idk what else to call it.) And the aliens start talking through the people, did creep me out. It still does. Those very quick moments are just pretty unsettling to me. But yea the rest of the movie sucks.

I’m so glad that one of the movies for you now is night of the creeps!! Tom Atkins said it was his favorite character that he ever played! He has all the best lines and it’s so fun!
True story: when I was in high school, I did a group project in English class and we did ours on the hunger games! And this is before the movies were even a thing and we only had the books! I love the first book but never got around to reading the sequels. But we got the movies now so I’ll just watch them instead hahaha
One last thing, they live is absolutely more relevant now than ever. We need to get our hands on those glasses and uncover the truth!!

Omg I love Virus with JLC. 😂 She states that she hates it because the script changed a lot, the practical effects didn’t work half the time, and because they changed the filming location and she was upset she had to leave her kid to film.

Not a fan of The Hunger Games mainly because of shaky cam I hate shaky cam. I'll take Battle Royal the original from Japan any day over HG. Battle Royal involves friends from High School being pit up against each other rather than complete strangers. Plus there's no shaky cam.
Also, The Thing 2011 feels like an insult specially since the studio rendered CG over the practical effects done by StudioADI.. I could never forgive them for that. Plus the jump scares I hate jump scares, not at all scary to me.
I do like MEW though as an actor she's gorgeous and gives a pretty good performance for what she had to work with.
Speaking of The Thing, John Carpenter is working on a sequel to his 1982 film and shows what happened to Childs and MacReady. Only thing that worries me is that it takes away the mystery of the ending of the film. It would be pretty predictable if Childs ends up being the thing. Though if they changed location to like the city or jungle that would be interesting like in the comics.
