If he was 6 and a half years old in this footage, and he's born in 87' that would mean this is 1993 footage, whereas there was a war between Croatia, Bosnia and Yugoslavia (today's Serbia) at the time. There was huge inflation in the country, the currency was meaningless, people were fighting over bread. I think this is in Czech Republic, I heard someone else talking in Czech in the background. Novak was definitely out of country back then, his parents probably had the money to stay in a foreign country until the war ended. That was considered a luxury back then. As for '99 year that other comments mentioned, he was obviously 12 at the time. Well, all's in past and we moved on from the nineties horror shows. I'm just 2 years younger than Novak, but I remember how fucked up things were.

He's also still young enough and playing well enough to potentially top them in GS titles before his career ends. LOL, that little Nole was quite an angry player when he missed his shots or lost a match. I guess you could say he had expectations of himself and would not be happy without a great performance. What a special clip of Nole! So cute. Just look at where he is today from when he was that little boy. This vid was really special. Thank you for sharing. Bravo Nole from East Canada.

amazing indeed, u can see talent in every move he makes, even if he is just a small boy! and another thing.. u can see the mentality of the winner there, a winner really really really really hates losing , no matter who is he playing against and when... if champions would like winning so much and losing even more, they would have never become the best at what they do! Nole bio si car oduvijek, sada imamo dokaz! :)

I was expecting to be wowed by this video but what I saw was a 6 year old that is similar to other athletic 6 year olds (my middle son is 5 and hits like this). What I think is remarkable is what takes this 6 year old Novak to his success is years of hard work and an inner drive. My boys are all in tennis now but I don't see the inner drive. I hope they'll continue it for fun at least.

Once upon a time this little boy started playing tennis When he grew up he began winning all these tournaments on the Pro tour. His won 99 so far including 24 Grand Slams which is a record in the men's game and he just won Gold at the Olympics. His also set lots of other records that may never be beaten. His 37 now and his name is Novak Djokovic who is not only the greatest tennis player that has ever lived but the greatest sportsman that has ever lived . His nearly 40, world number 2 and his still beating players a lot younger than him. Most of these players have never won a Grand Slam
The majority have won none or just a few other tournaments. God blessed tennis lovers with Nole.
