Novak actually petted my dog while my mom was walking him in the park, he came with his wife and son. He is the most down to earth person you will ever meet!
Previous legends of the sport claim these 3 are THE best 3 so there’s that. Furthermore I’m pretty sure that the last time that Federer beat Djokovic in a grand slam or Rafa outside of clay was 2013 so for me djoker is the GOAT
I meant that Rafa beat djoker. Their matchups are weird since Rafa dominates on clay but gets dominated on other surfaces usually and Federer and Djokovic havent really played each other when both are at their primes
They each have their own perks: Djokovic: One of the best returners of all time, steel solid defense and mental strength, his peak level arguably the best of all time Federer: Most elegant player ever, king of volleys and aggressive plays, has the best argument for being GOAT although he is the oldest so that could change Nadal: Absolute king of clay - very probable he remains it for a very, very long time, best fighting spirit of the game My personal favorite: Djokovic. But I think who's the best ever will always remain a subjective question at least to some degree. It depends on what are your criterias: Is it the one who has achieved the highest peak level? The most grand slams? The one being the biggest challenge to beat when playing on his best court? Etc etc etc
Happened same with Messi as well LOL so the lesson is to start doing things that would make you successful rather than hating opponents of your favourite players on social media.
I love the fact how genuine and honest he is with every question, media can keep trying antagonizing him to sell their stories, but they can't change the fact he's a very likable person, down to earth (literally) with good sense of humor.
He's had moments of bad behavior on and off court early in his career and some people have not forgiven him, even though he's improved leaps and bounds and I always found him a chill person. Also, tennis is just like any other sport - if you pick Federer or Nadal as your favorite, obviously you're not gonna be too fond of their toughest opponent. Just like a Man United fan would ordinarily not root for Man City or Liverpool. They haven't necessarily done something wrong, it's just the way it is. Some people take it too far and it turns into abuse which is unacceptable, but many critics just see him beat their favorite player over and over again, so they root against him and there's little wrong with that, it's sports. To insinuate everyone is just jealous of him is nonsense.

He’s so modest. One time he was caught by journalists at an Olympic basketball game. It was Serbia vs France and he gave an interview in French where he spoke almost perfectly. I would’ve definitely considered him fluent in that language
I’m Portuguese and Married a Serbian. For 35 years Serbians have treated me like a Serbian and made me feel like part of their family. When Portugal lost to Serbia in World Cup qualifying, all I could say was there were many many other Countries I would have hated to lose to than Serbia. Novak Djokovic is the best tennis player on earth, I hope he gets a chance to defend his title and shoves it down Australia’s throat.
@@kornelfarkas6224 well, he lived in Germany for several years when he was training at the Niki Pilic-Academy. And he sometimes gives interviews in German, so he can definitely speak more than a few sentences in German.
@@ephraim443 nadal was drugged. You could tell after 5-0 something was up with Rafa. It's also strange how his performance immediately dipped after he had his first sip of water. This is why he’s the best tennis player not just because of his tennis ability’s but bc of his personally he’s always tryna make people laugh and be kind and that’s so nice to see 🥺
He has retired way too many matches in this career. No matter how justified it was, quiting us open like that was sure to garner negative reactions. I think the US crowd just hate him that much; sort of a retribution for what he did in Wimbledon.
@@nervio2701 Keep refuting every other explanation and you find your supporting an unpopular tennis player without knowing why. The truth is that people don't like him, and it won't be changed by any youtube comment.
@Miss. Midnight I haven't met anyone who hates him because his Serbian. Honestly, I just think Serbians want to have something against the others because no one hates him because of that. I actually think there are very few people who hate him, they just like their opponents so as it is reasonable you don't want the opponent to win
Lauren Bisiker Well, he can be a bit of a hothead sometimes and that definitely has something to do with the fact that some people don't like him. Not as bad as guys like Kyrgios, Paire, Fognini and Harrison, though.
How can someone not like this guy? But really? He's so genuine and sincere, what is there not to like? I mean, I understand rivalry, I understand cheering for your own favorite, but hating/not liking someone just because they are not your favorite and cheering for them to make a mistake?
mostly bc of the rivalries. That's just how it works in almost every sports. Fans of one team/player tend to dislike their team/player's biggest rivals. United fans dislike City, Fed fans dislike Novak, etc. Other than that, he can be a little cringe at times.
@@timmcdonald369 It has always been different in tennis. It's considered "gentleman's" sport so insulting someone shouldn't be part of it. Ofc, some players get booed if they act rude or if they do something bad, but being booed just because you won against someone's favorite kinda shouldn't be part of tennis. Wimbledon finals crowd was a disgrace to sports and to the tournament itself. Unfortunately, when it comes to Djokovic, it's happening on a regular basis. Just recently people started to understand how great of a person he is. I hope it continues and that when he meets Rafa or Federer in the next final both crowds are gonna be respectful.
@@woochitelj Yea, booing during a match is excessive, but I meant about the dislike in general. You can find Djokovic fans hating on Federer and Nadal online just as you can find Fed fans hating on Djokovic and Nadal. Every popular sport with well-established rivalries creates these somewhat toxic fan environments when fans are pitted against each other. But if we are looking at why Djokovic seems more disliked, I would guess his antics earlier in his career play a role. I feel like fans are generally more forgiving to a hot headed, sometimes abusive Mcenroe type than they are to someone who bends rules in a way some would describe as cheating. Djokovic didn't really have a very good relationship with the fans at all earlier in his career, especially in New York after the Roddick incident. Neither Rafa nor Roger antagonized fans to the level that Djokovic had early in their careers. So that carry-over effect in addition to just being unlucky to have two fellow greats continuing to compete at a high level on tour. Fed wasn't really liked either until Agassi left the scene. The problem with Djokovic's case is that Fed and Nadal are still sticking around.
@@timmcdonald369 I'm not denying that and I completely agree on most of your points. Thing is, Djokovic changed, he's not a whiny little baby that gives up as soon as his tummy hurts as he was doing early in his career. He's a grownup now and he acts completely differently compared to what he did before 2011. But yet people can't forget and forgive even after all he achieved and all he did. Yes, there are toxic Djokovic fans online but you will never see them boo Roger or Rafa, or any other player on court(except maybe for Kyrgios now). That's the main difference. Rafa and Roger fans can't accept that Novak is taking over and that he's tapping into "Fedal" fairytale and ruining it by beating them on court. I'm Nole fan, but I respect and I love watching Rafa and Roger. How many Roger and Rafa fans can say the same?
@@woochitelj I wouldn't judge all Rafa and Roger fans as not respecting Djokovic. The fans booing are a minority of the people in the stadiums and an even smaller minority of their fan bases which are quite large. I don't disagree that he should be judged on how he carries himself now. But I suspect his history with fans and Roger and Rafa not vacating their spots has to do with why he is not as liked. Personally, I think he's great on and off the court, though he can be a little cringe sometimes. I'm Fed fan and Wimbledon was heartbreaking for me lol.
Jessica Ayo yeah these are the federer/nadal diehard fans who will hate anything nole does, they say he may be the no1 but not better than federer, yet he beat him and the whole wimbledon crowd while beinh 2 matchpoints down. Let them hate
@@cream2257 Go on. You missed the point. A player could be the best player of all time and still remain unpopular. Think Jimmy Connors, or John Mcenroe to a smaller extent. Novak Djokovic is an unpopular player. This is the truth. You stats and facts don't change it. People need not be a fan of either of the players you mention to dislike him. A decade later, the world will see him in a different light. But right now, you'd have to accept the fact that he got booed off the court in USO19, and the muted applause in all his SW victories. Take that and choke on it. I'm very sorry though.
@@jessicaayo5035 Admirable. He's #1 for longer than Federer did in the 2000s, and many folds more than Nadal did. Should you try and like him? Of course! But will you? The stigma surrounding Djokovic's low popularity has been around for as long as I could remember. It's okay for you, presumably just a tennis casual, to overlook the many nuances that makes him the player who got booed off court in a GS, and is desperately trying to gain more recognition through media appearances (meta). It's okay. It's okay. For many, it's impossible. But for you guys, it's okay.

Sehr sympathisch, im 2022 hat er noch dazu gewonnen für mein Gefühl. Alles gute für ihn und seine Familie.
Incredibly intelligent and articulate guy, along with being one of my favorite athletes in any sport. Absolute legend.
Fed wasn't really liked either until
Agassi left the scene.
Is impossible not to love him! So much respect answering no arrogance so humble !
It is actually quite impossible to love him, but I assume you don't watch tennis so it's okay.
ToxicFox113 why, does he suck? It’s prob why he’s the current world no.1....
