Good for you on your diet, Novak. I've healed a benign brain tumor, mitral valve prolapse and pulmonary hypertension with a low fat, high fruit raw diet!!! Feel extraordinary! No one can believe I'm 74.
👏 wow

I turn 72 in September and with my basic overt-fat-free vegan diet I've never been healthier in my life. I do mountain bike/trail riding and run hurdles in track. Would like to hear more about your lifestyle.
Yup. People get so defensive about the notion of veganism, but more and more medical research studies are confirming the nutritional benefits of eliminating meat and dairy. It makes perfect sense if we bother to think objectively. Humans are primates. We are physiologically suited to eating fruit and vegetables, just like our closest relatives, the great apes. We don't possess a single trait of a natural meat eater -- fangs, claws, highly acidic stomach acids, protruding mouths, etc. Children are naturally drawn to colorful objects and sweet flavors (i.e. fruit). If we were natural meat-eaters, when a toddler saw a cockroach, mouse or kitten, his/her instinct would be to jump on it and try to bite it.

He's not doing it on a humanitarian basis, though. It's just what's right for him and his body. I can certainly understand that a high-performance athlete needs more carbs than they would protein, as the body does expend energy breaking down protein, but if you give those carbs to the average person, they're probably going to gain weight, get hungry quicker, it may not be right for them.
@@randomfullywonderful You don't put on weight unless you eat an excess of calories. Carbs are much less calorically dense so it's harder to eat more of them than you need. Plant based foods also have more fiber and water in them which fills you up. It's very difficult to put on weight only eating plants unless you eat mostly processed food (oils, sugars etc.)
Most of the energy from meat comes from fats, meaning it's much easier to eat more calories than you need. It also contains extremely high amounts of the worst kinds of fat, saturated fat and cholesterol. This is what makes the biggest difference for Djok's performance. Saturated fat restricts blood flow immediately upon entering the bloodstream, impeding athletic performance for hours after a single meal. Cholesterol, on the other hand, takes year to build up in your bloodstream, but eventually can cause atherosclerosis. Most children have fatty streaks in their arteries, the first visible symptom of atherosclerosis, by the age of ten. This is the largest cause of death in the western world. It's not just athletes that would benefit from cutting these out of their diet.
Also, you don't have to trade protein for carbs. There are plenty of high-protein plant foods. Tofu (not a processed food, just soybeans and water) has 10g of protein per 100kcal. Chicken has 11g per 100kcal. Tofu also has more Iron, Calcium, Selenium and Zinc per calorie than beef. (these vitamins are the main vitamins often advertised as reasons to eat red meat)
@@jibjubby I heard soybeans can increase estradiol levels in men.
It does make me chuckle when people judge Novak's choices with regards to his body and what he puts in it. This guy is one of the healthiest people in the world. But of course, the media tell you to take a certain medical procedure, so they must be right.

I don't eat sugar and bread much, and exercise regularly. One week I tried to avoid all sugar, and by the of the week I was so irritated. Finally I ate chocolate and instantly felt better. I don't understand how to balance the diet so that it feels ok without sugar and bread especially when exercising. It seems like sugar gives a quick easy energy that helps the body to recover faster.
@@helenab9973 chocolate will give you that effect regardless of whether it has refined sugar in it or not. I don't eat refined sugar and can always count on dark chocolate for a good energy boost. You can totally do it all without sugar and bread, you just need to get past the cravings and the irritability. Those things will fade away once you're body gets used to not having them anymore. I mean, Fed/Nadal won 20 and still eat cheese but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
I've been vegan for like 10 years, I think I started before Novak, because of my own health issues. 95% of the issues are gone and I can say I'm feeling almost fully healthy for the first time in my life and I've been coming to this point gradually over those 10 years, but I did felt huge improvement only 2-3 weeks after the transition. I transitioned gradually over a period of one year. I do eat more in terms of volume, but it's easily digested like Novak said, you can feel your stomach and body feeling good and without any strain we all have struggling with meat and other animal products.
Check out the youtuber Sv3rige with ex vegan interviews, maybe your health aren't as good as you keep telling yourself
@@Mcbaby12345 I never felt this good in my entire life, good and healthy! And that's all that matters really, as opposed to being literally constantly sick back when I was still carnivore.
@@Mcbaby12345 I checked it out and one with the brain, if one has it, would never mix mental and eating disorders with veganism. Eating herbivorous diet means eating more and versatile, not eating less. You should check your IQ.
@@alexvidakovic I cannot really see why you got so triggered. You said you were a "carnivore" that means that most of your nutrition comes from animals. 95% of the world population is plant based, seeing that most of their calories comes from grains and suger and not meat or animal fat. So you most likely ate a standard slave diet and has never tried a carnivorous diet. I cured all my health issues by eating a raw carnivore diet, before I tried all sorts of vegan diets and I only got sicker and my skin got worse, my sexlust were down, I was more feminine and I was always bloated. Maybe the diet works for you, but I would suggest that you try a strict carnivorous diet for some weeks just to see if there is any difference, if not then maybe the vegan diet is for you. Take care
@@Mcbaby12345 I was not triggered I was merely pointing delusions you're having. I haven't eaten meat, dairy or anything related to the animals in more than 10 years. Carnivores eat raw meat, some humans do too, but they're sick and look weird, stink also too much. The source of my acne was animal fat, I had my skin pores clogged with fat. Now my skin is looking younger than ever and is completely clear of all issues, which is kinda expected, I mean, once you get rid of animal fat, health issues that were triggered by it will gradually go away, but it takes some time, it's not an immediate solution as liver is fatty too and arteries are in bad shape also, along with heart and brain. The reason why you do not understand such simple facts is because your brain is clogged with animal fat too, so it doesn't function properly.
Great video!!!
Gotta admit that Graham Bensinger is a much better and a more natural interviewer as compared to many of the world renowned interviewers out there who are typically rude, disrespectful, out of bounds and insensitive. All the best for you, Graham and may you get more opportunities to interview many more such greats such as Novak ❤.
Dear Novac,
My Food is the same.
May God keep you Safe on each corner of your life.
I love your intellect and sencitivity.
Your heart is gold...
You are Globely example of your country and your people.
The Book is the best friand and traveling is knowledge.
He pretty much confirmed that meat consumption isn’t necessary in many aspects i mean the guy is a machine and we all know it.
👍 Yeah, clarity and concentration, that's power.
He is not plant based though, he eats seafood and chicken.
That’s a lie.
not sure what you are trying to say, Long term veganism isn't good.
@@artygunnar You are so wrong. Long-term dairy and meat diet led us to heart diseases and other health issues, It's not normal that people have chronic health problems when they cross 50. You need to be more open-minded. A vegan diet does not always mean a healthy diet by default also, you need to be well informed.
I pray for his goodhealth 🤞🙏🙏
Wow, I'm very delighted to hear that Novak eats millets. They are truly a very healthy grain with immense healing capabilities. It does not happen overnight, but when consumed for 1 year straight millets heal numerous kinds of aliments - slowly and naturally. Most importantly in order to consume millets one must eliminate processed sugar like Novak, otherwise millets won't be beneficial to the body.
Yep, I love ragi Jawa, Jonna roti and our wonderful millets. I’m very thin, but the strongest one among my football friends. They think I’m crazy.
Also only eat 2 times a day. Less sugar.
Next, I want to cut out non veg too.
serbian super star!!! love you Nole!
this guy is great !
You helped me change my diet . Gracias
The GOAT, at this moment
Love him
I love Novak ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing 👌👍♥️
I’ve been eating like Novak for the last 170 years, I’m 200 years old and haven’t visited the doctor ever. Feel so good , I would highly recommend it.
What a lazy attempt at being funny. This "I'm 200 years old..." thing stopped being funny like 5 years ago. Put more effort next time.
@@xvx3503 Its not supposed to be funny mate.
He's the GOAT, 20 majors and US Open coming up for his 3rd Grand Slam which is holding all 4 major titles in a row. If he wins US Open, he will be the only player to ever win all 4 majors consecutively 3 separate times, just amazing person.
Diet starts from 4:00
I’m going to try this by eating more fruits and vegetables and less junk food overall. I have been very active in my life, but the thing that has set me back is my diet, where I’d eat all sorts of sugary products and things that didn’t contribute positively to my health. So I’m going to start eating healthier while also exercising to keep myself healthy.
Very inspirational Man beyond tennis too
