I got to see Dom play on clay and its one of my fondest tennis memories. And for me, I have found I perform best with a protein rich yogurt drink before the match, coconut water during and another protein shake after, but with added aminos, creatine, powdered chia and fine milled oats.
I mean it’s an okay diet but to say he really focuses on his diet (as a top tennis player getting paid millions of dollars) and then describe what he described is ludicrous. It’s more like an average Joe diet, the best part of the video is when he said that peanut butter is the secret 😂
Love ya Domi. Yeah, hit the highlights for me as well with farm fresh eggs, pasta dishes, used to be peanut butter but recently developed an allergic reaction to it, so bummed about that. But yeah, we do pasta (Spätzle) and any kielbasa or good sausage.

@@Apoz but you still get low energy periods. those are healthy periods with still having sharp mind, but the body is low energy. that is difficult for times when the athlete has lots of training and then games/matches at the professional level. sometimes you need that boost in a timely manner. keto is great, at the professional level, it's not common at all, for the reasons i discussed, and why almost all pro athletes have carbs in their diet. we are not talking about amateur level. and yes, some athletes will do keto for a few months of the year, but year round when training and competing, i don't know of any top player who does it.

I'd like to know what he drinks during matches to stay hydrated...
Thank you.
❤❤❤
I love thiem but unfortunately cam't say the same about peanut butter
poor guy is still miles away from his prime
he's peaked.
NOVAK DJOKOVIC NEXT PLEAAASE!
Isn’t fruit before the meal not good due to sugar and glucose spikes?
Actually better before a meal or alone because the fructose can be used immediately and is digested way faster than any other food you will eat.
SIEMPRE es buena la fruta
Can you ask him for his glutes routine next please

pasta, rice, peanut butter. got it. life should be as easy, agreed
Fruits, pasta, peanut butter on bread
don't forget eggs, the most nutritious thing in his diet.
Love ya Domi. Yeah, hit the highlights for me as well with farm fresh eggs, pasta dishes, used to be peanut butter but recently developed an allergic reaction to it, so bummed about that. But yeah, we do pasta (Spätzle) and any kielbasa or good sausage.
bro its dominic thiem. hes not gonna read this
Try Almond butter instead, it tastes pretty similar
@@deedee243 Wish I could. All nuts seem to trigger me anymore!
He eats bagels and breadsticks😊
sympathic guy but horrible nutrition. 0:55 "At home i love my eggs." rofl
Thanks Thiem! I will beat you one day and then we will eat peanut butter together and laugh! :)
Yes Nole has to say his eat diet in detail. Would be amazing to know exactly what he eats
to sum it up: Just get some pasta
eggs

At one point, pnce your explosiveness is capped, isnt it better to go keto at a higher level in tennis?
with scheduling and lots of training, it' hard to do the low energy periods. carbs give the boost.

Call me Dominic. You need a new NUTRITIONIST!!!! Pasta is a big no.

Really like Thiem, but his diet might actually be slowing him down. Vegetables are a must for anyone, more so for a pro athlete.
He eats a lot of fruit, and how do you know he doesn't eat vegetables? This video doesn't contain every single thing he eats.
but vegetables taste awful
No vegetables?
He often tells about the great veggies that grow in his mum’s garden.
less beneficial than most whole foods.
Thiem diet < Novak diet
It surprises me Dominic Thiem loves peanut butter this much. It is oily.
It is full of nutrients, very good for your health if you eat few of it
full of energy and protein. fats are very healthy, however, brazil nuts or macadamia nuts are much healthier.
Not a good diet. It's just a lot of sugar.
As a professional athlete, he’s burning it like fuel. Look at his body.
Peanut isn't a nut. It's a legume. Switch to almond butter or cashew butter.
better yet, get off the processed stuff, and just eat macadamia nuts and brazil nuts.
Horrible diet, horrible example for the next generations.
Novak is making them eat less meat!! very good! now Djokovic turn!
