Story 1: Yeah, the ex-wife and Bob got everything they deserved here, especially Bob. First of all, why would you leave your password on a sticky note where literally anybody could find it and access it? She really wasn't even trying to hide it at that point. Good on the OP for hiring the divorce lawyer and Ron here. Ron is definitely a hero here. I sometimes look sideways at private investigators, but certainly not in this case. Screw Bob, and the OP's ex. They both suck. Story 2: Of course, why am i not surprised that it is a new manager that has to come in and ruin things? Typical! Who cares how fast you do your job if you aren't doing it correctly or properly? If you aren't doing it right or well, then who cares how quick you do it? Quality > Speed. I know i've worked in a bunch of restaurants that valued speed over everything and they were the worst places to work at. Too bad Sarah didn't get fired for everything here. This was just beyond chaos. If i were Mike, i would've made Sarah do all the inventory solo, not with a group of people. Glad the OP got a bonus afterwards. Story 3: No, the OP isn't a jerk in the least here. I dont care if the 'herb' is legal anywhere, if you reek of it, then go and have a bath or something. There's no excuse to stink like that in public, especially if some people can't handle the smell of it. If i were the OP, i would've called her out on her bad smell as well too..... especially since she was rude after the OP saying they wanted their personal space and even trying to sit down anyways. Its totally fine to want that, even in a crowded coffee store. Good thing the employee kicked that person out after. Also, screw the OP's friends here. The OP did absolutely nothing wrong here. That herb girl is 100% in the wrong here and no one should be on her side. Story 4: No way is the OP a jerk here. What the hell is wrong with the sister here? If this "wedding tax" was a joke, then i would simply laugh it off, but she's actually expecting people attending to chip in for everything here? Yeah, i wouldn't want to attend this wedding either if this is how Emily is going to be acting. Story 5: Man, how do people like this get and keep their jobs? Again we have a case of a new manager coming in and ruining things for everyone. The moment i was in a meeting where they were acting like jerks and saying "my way or the highway, just deal with it".... that would be my cue to walk out. You just know that working with those kinds of people just isnt worth it. No wonder this place has a very high employee turnover. Too bad those managers weren't fired over everything here. The moment the OP was reprimanded over everything with the other employee freaking out, i definitely would've both quit and complained to their higher-ups. Those people have no business being managers.
The student in the coffee shop, hogging a table in a public space and refusing to let someone else use that public space just because the don't like how the person smells is absolutely the jerk. If you aren’t willing to share public space that you don't own, you can leave that space and get over yourself. OP did not own the coffee shop, they did not own the table, and the server that OP got to remove the other customer should be reprimanded because the other customer did nothing but say "hey, I wanna use this public space too" when it was the only available seat in the whole shop
@hectormarquez2402 I can 100% guarantee these so-called "friends" do not practice what they preach. So that's why I'm suggesting OP find better friends.
Story 3: You're dead wrong, OP is definitely the jerk here. A table at a coffee shop really is more of a public place than it is a booth at a restaurant. People can sit there if they want. OP did not have the right to tell other people where they can or can't sit. If she really wanted a good place to study, why the hell is she at a coffee shop to begin with instead of at her house?
20:18 taking a task too literally??! Anyone who punishes that is a major red flag and not worth your time. Sorry for the triple comment. It won’t let me edit comments much lately for some odd reason. Weird error
Story both parties are a jerk, and I don’t blame the friends calling out OP on their behavior in that scenario. Weed smelling lady shouldn’t have been hostile either and just moved on to another location to avoid conflict.
Nahh #3 OP is 100% the jerk just walk away they seem like the karen instead of arguing you can... HHMMMM MAYBE YOU CAN GO HOME You cant expect everyone to make the world you perfect little Haven
I feel kind of conflicted about the BO story. On the one hand, i get it. Nobody wants to be around someone that stinks. On the other hand, it was a public location and OP not only had no right to hog an entire table, but they also have no right to tell people how what they can and can't do with their bodies or their clothes.
Story #4: Aren't all weddings basically just business transactions these days anyway? Damn near nobody stays married anymore! At least not in the western world. And all the wife does is gain stuff. Especially if they get divorced! Think about it! Women are literally financially incentivised to break the marriage contract. "Let's see. I'll take this. I'll take that. I'll take those. I'll take these. Of course his house automatically goes to me. I'm sure I could get some money for his great grandfather's World War 2 medals!" It's insane!

Story 1: No sympathy for cheaters. Especially for APs who either knew the person they are seeing is married or if they themselves are married.
Remember what they say…
If they begin cheating, you begin searching.

Story 3: OP needs new friends
Not everyone is going to agree on everything if u decide to ditch everyone who doesn't go with your view or side y'all have no one

Nah she be like take out a piece of paper that wrote DIVORCE
14:39 no the op is not the jerk. The sister in the story just want a free wedding.

I think you’re wrong don’t just walk up to someone smelling like that and she said it was giving her headache she has a reason you asshole

you're confusing this narrator with the evening narrator...
I hated it

Story 3 both people are the jerk
Story 3: OP definitely the jerk. Bro it’s weed, you could have just left. Shiii I would’ve ask them for a blunt 😂

I've noticed that a lot of people want the wedding, but not the marriage.
All the more reason to _never get married._

story 3. That bad smelling lady had just as much a right to that table, it's not a damn restaurant.
Technically yes, it is
Its a coffee shop, you don't usually share tables at a coffee shop. And especially if that person would make it impossible to do what op was there for
op was at the table first, its rude to jump on someone else's table
