First Story: I can COMPLETELY understand why the OP didn't give his kidney. You do realize that if it was the other way around and OP was dying of kidney failure, all his twin brother and parents would have done was laugh at his face and tell him it's what he gets for being a F-slur. Not a chance in hell his twin would have given him his kidney.
I'd be surprised if I actually heard someone say that the op was in the wrong. I'd like to see them live the op's life and try to make that choice to give their kidney to the toxic twin.
The only thing the op did wrong was give up his name in his marriage instead of hyphenated it in half having both names. Other than that, if I was him I'd probably spit in his hospital pudding, close as he'd get to my kidney but that's it. What I love however is that the sister understands why the op left him to die, after all that strangers would understand but family would be emotional but she knew too and probably hated him.
I can't believe people would call and blame the death of Sebastian on the op. You're not obligated to give up your kidney to anyone. He should have taken care of his own kidneys,
just cause he isn't obligated doesn't mean he's not the jerk here. let your brother die is a bit worse than knocked up my girl. I wouldn't do it cuz I felt I owed anything to him, I feel I would owe it to myself not to love with that on my conscious for the rest of my days XD
@@lucasnebz4735 but what you are saying is he is morally obligated or at least you would feel morally obligated. You can feel that way if you want but no one is morally obligated to give up body parts
If the kidney failure was from his own behavior, it’s ridiculous to expect ANYONE to save him, let alone a twin who mistreated him for their entire lives. I had a friend who died from liver failure due to a Tylenol OD and she wasn’t allowed to be put on a donor list. Sebastian did that to himself and it’s absolutely disgusting that anyone would try to lay the blame on OP.
Exactly! He did it to himself through HIS own actions. All OP ever wanted to do was have a loving twin brother, and have a family to fall back on (discluding the sister ofc) And it’s absolutely despicable that they think they’re entitled for OP to save him, after everything he’s done to screw over his entire life, getting him disowned for being bi. Or getting his girlfriend pregnant than abandoning HIS child forcing her to abort it or suffer. What happened to the evil twin was true karma. All his life he’s ruined OP’s life and made it a living hell, and having his narcissistic parents to favor him. All he’s ever done is destroy and ruin peoples lives. Now his life was on the line, and he expected the person he bullied the most and hated the most for no reason, and the person who he destroyed their life, and got him disowned by the indoor family (other than the sister). Only him was standing between evil twin and death. But now all those years of torment and narcissism is coming back to bite him in the ass and send him to hell.
Right? It sounds like the guy wouldn't have even appreciated the act of kindness anyways since he was a junkie and likely had no intentions of changing.
its worth a shot. and while i completely understand not wanting to give up the kidney, some people would. id give my brother an organ anyday doesnt matter what hes done to me. he could stab me in the head and ask for my heart while im still in the hospital and id give it to him. we arent close but id never forgive myself if he died and there was something i could do to stop it
@@bigploppa154 You are..... a MUCH more forgiving person than I am. Then again I have people I'm related to where I'd laugh at their funerals, so my well might be pretty poisoned
I get mad when person or character forgive the person/people this because they started be a little “nice” it’s why I hate stories like naruto or Harry Potter
The first story exemplified why you should always choose kindness. You never know who's help you'll need in the future, I dub OP NTJ. He said it himself that if his brother was kind to him that he would have gotten tested.
Also, the OP may need the kidney later in life. The other twin blew through his kidneys with drinking a lot early in life, but time may wear down OPs kidney quicker than other elder folk when he reaches those years. So, the OP should also be concerned with making sure he isnt in the same position of not having an extra kidney to spare later in life. In other words, genetic disposition of kidney stability should also be a factor.
First story is a somewhat old one. There was an update to it last time i checked it over a year ago and it was nasty. He and his husband managed to adopt not one but two baby children. somehow, his parents learned of this from the grapevine and contacted him demanding one of the kids to be handed over to them as compensation for him killing their beloved child (the brother he refused a transplant). He was looking into getting a restraining order against then and asking what else he could do to protect his new family since he was afraid his parents might try to kidnap one of the kids.
@h0M1Efps In this story the problem isn't homophobia. The ,,family" tormented OP long before he came out. In this case the problem is favouritism because OPs family hated him just for being born.
I cannot believe how devastating the first story was. In my eyes, the OP isn't the jerk, and I feel bad for him more than anyone else. His family just coming back into his life clearly shows something is off, especially because they were HAPPY to see him. It's nice to know that the OP has found a family who loves and cares about him, and hopefully the past won't rise up and overtake him and his emotions.
@@CoraErickson-cz3zp dude, stfu. OP had every right to hold a grudge against his twin. Also, the family had no rights to ask for his kidney after disowning him and favoring his brother. Even if it’s petty to hold a grudge, that still does NOT excuse or justify what happened to OP.
Story 1: The evil twin deserved it. Once a user, always a user. Their parents were just as bad. Favoring one twin over the other is not the thing to do. The good twin has moved on to live a happy life. Good for him.
good for him? I'm not sure what the bro could have done short murder that would justify, you know, MURDER! p.s if they didn't change and still showed no remorse couldn't he still just move on and live a happy life and just never speak to them? instead he has to move on and literally CANT ever speak to him again. how is that better?

@@lucasnebz4735 well my friend there is a thing called trauma and pain. The op felt pain from physical, emtional, and mental due to the op's twin, and even from his/hers family. That bitch of a twin deserve to die and his/her family cant do jack shit of the op choice of avoiding pain and trauma again. @@lucasnebz4735 why do you think it's murder? And no, it wouldn't be better because not only are they bad family members, but they're abusive, so if he did give the kidney, he'd be abused again.
@@lucasnebz4735 murder is when you kill someone directly. What killed the man was his addiction to alcohol. What the OP did was not save him. In Kitty Genovese case would you call the people who heard the commotion a murderer? No. They are a witness. They had chose not to check what the commotion about. At most you could call it neglection. Did you donate your blood every month? Is your kidney donated? (If you're able to donate both) If no , are you a murderer? Your kidney and blood could've saved someone. They needed it. As for your second part, donating a kidney would mean he would have to spend several hours on surgery and not to mention AFTER the surgery. And the leaves off his work days? He could've spent his time on people which is already not toxic. They have 7 years (excluding the time which his brother found out he has kidney problem) to apologise. His parents had clearly still been neglecting their sons behaviours throughout the years as they would've told him to stop drinking so much, but they didn't until he got the kidney problem. Why would I risk it for him of all people? I would rather donate it to a random stranger I didn't know.
OP in the first story is not a jerk. The brother was incredibly cruel and narcissistic, and the parents were no better. Blatantly playing favorites, and letting him get away with his behavior while OP took the abuse from both of them. Getting outed and kicked out ( while awful and deplorable) was probably the best thing to happen to him, since he found people that actually cared about him no matter who he was. The fact they had the audacity to ask him to give his kidney after years of no contact because of his sexuality then proceeded to be mad about him for denying the brothers request just shows the OP's " family" ( obviously not including the sister ) don't actually care about him. Toxic people like that don't change no matter what you do to please/help them. Even if he gave the brother his kidney, they would have abandoned him again without a second thought. To them OP was just a last resort.
Thats cool and all but short of murder, I don't see how anything can be bad enough to sentence someone to death. Even if after giving the kidney he never talked to them again, now he can't ever talk to his brother again
@@lucasnebz4735 there is a difference from sentence someone to death and not saving someone, You don’t have to save anyone especially if it comes at self cost. It might be very little cost to donate a kidney but it is also very little cost to be nice to someone like his brother failed to do and worse actively hurt him in many ways.
The first OP would be putting his life in danger by donating a kidney. Not a decision to be taken lightly. The fact they didn't reach out to OP until the last possible moment says how much OP meant to them. He was a last resort.
Amen to not giving up the kidney! Good for you. The world needs less bullies in it. You did the right thing. For your peace and everyone else's in the worlds peace.

I noticed that too. You don't hear about step-parents taking in another kid, one that's fully grown, with open arms. Both of Isaac’s parents are heroes in this story.
Although I'm a big fan of families working things out, the whole thing about owing people who are your blood is a joke, and not a very good one. If someone uses the "we are blood" talk, it's only because they want from you something they know they don't deserve.
@@lucasnebz4735 Yes, but the brother isn't taking away his life. It's not his fault that the twin damaged his body and got sick. Nobody HAS to give away their body parts.
I feel like saying "We're blood" is such a bullshit way of saying "You have to help me. Even if you hate me, even if I ruined your life, you have to help me." It's petty and condescending when they try to guilttrip you into doing something for them. Do it because you want to, not because you have to.
The twin deserved it all. He deliberately ruined 18 years of his brother's life, and even upon meeting his brother near death, he doesn't admit the wrongs he did, claiming they both hurt each other. This man had no remorse for his actions when he talked to his brother, and so why should he be let off the hook? EDIT: If any tradition forces you to do something that will negatively affect you, let go of the tradition. It holds no emotional or spiritual benefit. It's an excuse to not use logic.
I dont think letting a family member die just because they were mean to you feels very justified. even if ge gave the kidney then the parents and brother acted like entitled pieces of shit, the op could still just never talk to his family again instead he can literally never talk to his family again... BOOM mic drop XD Plus who knows maybe the family can change at least even a little if they truly take in the fact that they basically abused this dude his whole life and he stiill would give a kidney. maybe he could have the relationship with his family he never had the chance to
@@lucasnebz4735 I guess ruining 18 years of one's life shouldn't mean the rest of your own life is gone, but let's be honest he was never going to stop. None of what he does is a crime and so he would never have gotten any better form of karma than natural death. Clearly, while he's DYING, he expects an immediate forgiveness from his brother and definitely doesn't act like he's living his last few days. He had no remorse. He had no intention of stopping. Idk if you've ever seen Poirot, a British TV show, but in the finale of the last episode [SPOILERS], the lovable kind detective we spent dozens of episodes with is forced to personally put a bullet in someone's head, in cold blood. This person didn't break the law but deliberately caused bad, fatal things to happen because he enjoyed it, and he didn't plan to stop. You can't send him to jail. You can't come back at him or else you'll be hated by everyone. You can only hope he disappears from "natural" causes. In sum, maybe he didn't deserve death, but there was simply no other way.
I agree, he made the call that eased his own conscience. Fact that he showed up at all, after everything his family put him through, should be a vital testament of his heart. He didn't have to show up at all, could have told his sister "thanks for letting me know, I don't think I'll come anyways" and been done with it. Good on you brother, you did the right thing, which is a far cry from what I've done.

The "blood is thicker than water" saying is accurate as being a former U.S. Navy combat veteran, the blood spilled on the battlefield will create a stronger bond than that created in the womb. To this day, those men I went into combat with are more family to me than my own blood related family. My own family has screwed me over, betrayed, abandoned me in my time of need. But those men I served with would never do that to me and they know I would never do that to them.
@@clshep it actually means the opposite of what you think it means. “Blood is thicker than water” means that your family bonds (bio. parents, sisters etc.) will always be stronger than the friends you make on the road. Hence “blood is thicker”. The blood you spilled on the battlefield isnt related to this. 😅
@@Aneliuse The actual complete quote is this: “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” The saying means that bloodshed on the battlefield creates stronger ties than the bonds with family or “water of the womb.” More directly, it means that relationships you make yourself are far more important than the ones that you don’t choose.
@Jack Russelle Lewis She obviously is, since she is uncomfortable with the subject dumb dumb. Young people do a lot of foolish things, especially in school/college
What many people don't realize is that donating a kidney is actually a very big deal, and I don't mean that you just lose a part of a kidney - you have to be in bed without work for possibly months, and quite possibly have health issues that could last till the rest of your life. Even if it were a brother that I grew up fine with I wouldn't donate my kidney.
If you donate a kidney, you WILL have health problems from time to time from that, you will always have to be careful with your diet to not overwork your kidney, you will have to be careful to not overexercise since the proteins from that damage that muscles suffer after heavy exercise damage renal function, and you will lose AT LEAST five years of your lifespan. When we get old our organs lose efficiency, and your single kidney won't be able to get you too far. So you shouldn't donate a kidney unless is to someone you genuinely love enough to literally sacrifice a part of your life for. If you do it because "Is the right thing" you will resent and regret it forever, you should genuinely want to. Things that you can donate with no problem include livers (livers have an amazing regeneration ability so you can donate a third of your liver and regrow it. You can't do this more than once because the new tissue is not quite the same as the original, but you don't really need to worry about health problems, the third you donated also will become a full liver, though a somewhat misshapen one), and bone marrow (The procedure is pretty damn painful, but recovery is fast and there are no long term consequences).
Are you kidding me? That guy had the nerve to ask someone he spent a, thankfully short, lifetime abusing to save him? Oh, hell no. That's pissing on your grave worthy right there.
1st story: Sebastian obviously never cared about OP before he was dying. And I'm pretty sure he only cared about him as an organ donor when he was dying. OP does not owe his parents or Sebastian anything. They are not his family. They are his enemies and they always have been. 2nd story: Jacob got the answer he deserved. 3rd story: If OP doesn't want to join the military then OP doesn't join the military. Evil Twin Story: Hey, suddenly sucks to be the evil twin! OP can mourn the brother he never had, but there's nothing unhealthy about not mourning the brother who tortured him. The rest of the family can duck off.
Story #1 My opinion: No, your practically a stranger to these people, if they can ask you they can ask another person. It's not your fault that he died. It's his for being a terrible person and brother and living such a "hardcore" life
Story 2, The BiL probably was always annoyed that this "floozy" would sleep with "anyone" except him, when really... She chose all of her partners, and she can choose as many or as few as she wants.
First Story: OP is TOTALY NOT A JERK if his brother did all of that to him just to nine years later ask for his kidney then he could have thought about it before
Look, if you had a sibling, much less a twin, that has been shit to you from childhood to the end of HS, then tries to say bygones by saying we both did shit to each other. I’d say listen, cross examine the events, then walk out. The good twin doesn’t owe anything to his parents or their Golden child and I agree that this is karma catching up years later.
OP didnt owe his brother a kidney or anything for that matter. Brother would have taken the kidney fucked it up then demanded the second one with a "Who cares you dont need it." Attitude.
Story 1: Not a jerk. It's OPs kidney, so OP decides who can or can't have it. I completely understand OP not giving his kidney to his brother after everything he put him through. He got what he deserved. Story 2: Not a jerk. If Jacob insists on making funny comments, it's only fair he gets them back. Story 3: Not a jerk. It's your life so you decide how to live it, not some stupid tradition. Story 4: Not a jerk. OP gave the parents plenty of opportunities, plenty of warnings. If she pays for the house, she can decide what happens with it.
The first story is almost completely similar to a story from BE AMAZED. The guy had bullied his brother, outted his own brother for being bisexual and had kidney failure, but nothing was said about a pregnancy.
@@lucasnebz4735 sure, just risk my life for my consciousness You have been saying similar things in other comments my guy. Are you saying in story#1 the op is the jerk?
I understand that OP did not give his Kidney. His brother ruined everything good he had and his life and now he is begging for his own life? I would give a Kidney to my twin brother, Luke ANY DAY! But that's because I love him, and we look out for eachother
I love the first story. It’s tragic, but with a happy ending (if they were my family I wouldn’t even come to the hospital, i hate bigotry, fanatical zealots and people who disown their own children for anything less than being actual monsters, like in one story where 17yo tried to murder his baby brother and assaulted his parents until his bodybuilder mother smashed his face to pulp)
First story: every single time one of his family members would’ve messaged me saying that I was going to hell I would’ve said and I quote “save me a seat because I’m sure you’ll be there long before I will “ Hope the evil twin is getting just what he gave to his brother but worse. Far worse
first op is 100% NOT a jerk. after all that his brother has done, it's perfectly reasonable that he didn't give away his kidney. I'd have done the same thing. heck, not to sound like a soulless jerk or anything but, i'd be HAPPY to hear the news that he's dead.
For the first story, I would consider having them seek theorpy just for ensurence that the death of his twin doesn't have lingering effects on his mental state. As for the family, i would have made a copy and padte message about calling them out on that he has no family, the family he once had disowned him long ago in favor for his evil twin who impregnated his girlfriend and his family took his side. Followed by the fact his family kicked him out just because he was bi and had a boyfriend.
for the first situation where the family treats a person like shit and kicks them out when they are not your family. Maybe by genes, they are officially but by being a human being they are not. Your family are the people that support you in your life and don't abuse you. You are not the jerk and don't ever feel guilty for what happened there. Just forget about it and enjoy the good life you have now. In the second situation, you are not the jerk as well. Your brother-in-law should have stopped long ago and still keep doing it. That is wrong in so many ways now he is harassing you after being told off. His attitude basically proves that you would never do anything with him. I know that since personality will always overtake looks. I don't know why but I can meet someone and they are beautiful to look at but then just seconds later their personality comes out and it is a flat NO. Even with someone else, I would tell them to run. Just like some people would use I would not touch them with a 10-foot pole. I would say something like I would not touch them with a 100-foot pole even if someone else was holding it. Just to prove I would not recommend them to anyone else as well. In the 3rd situation, it is your choice, not your family's decision. You have to deal with the situation of everything that may happen in the military. And the military in both Canada and USA are both volunteers so you have to make the choice it is not up to your family. They just have to deal with that situation where they are maybe the last generation in the military and if they keep up what they are doing they may lose you too. So, just be proud of your offspring instead of being mad about their decision. Help them when you can but not do everything for them. She may not want to follow her family shadow into the military. In the 4th situation, she should have made a contact with them where they have to pay for the mortgage into they buy the house outright. If they don't then the house will be sold and if her ex-parent-in-law cannot understand that. You are the mother of their grandkids and they are just using all of their son's money without thinking about their son's kids' future maybe that is what he wanted his money for not just to be wasted on his parents' retirement.
It's your kidney, your body made and needs it. Your brother should have treated you with dignity if he wanted a show of love and devotion that shortens your lifespan. ;)
I am surprised that Ryan didn’t call his parents out and said Sebastian is also in hell for the shit he did every time his parents say that Ryan is going to hell after Sebastian died and also point out all of Ryan’s sins

if they're twins then they might have the same predisposition to have kidney failure and in that case OP would need his kidneys just as much as his brother
Honestly, I thought I would have given the kidney, even to a stranger, but then he mentioned what caused the kidney failure. And that would be a hard pass.
If my wasteful lout of a brother needed a Kidney from me, I would have to sit down and explain to him about how I did my best to make up for everything he had been put through in his life, but in the end, my attempts to make ammends for how I acted at a younger age were thrown back in my face with my "let me help." Given a resounding, "Fuck off." This wasn't even him telling me how I fucked him up, my MOTHER put that on me when I came back from my dad's after being gone for 3 years. "He's this way because of you, you know." She told me. So when he spurned my attempt to help him, he forfeited any and all help I would have or could have given him. That includes organs
honestly dude was not a jerk, the fact he put up with that much for so many years makes him the better brother. the people still picking on him for finally putting his foot down, are either people who'd rather believe lies than the truth or people who just want to work out their issues on another. something like that happens often, people working their issue out on others for no good reason. it's just pathetic, adults acting so childish, some I pity, others should just rot.
once upon a time a doctor got a parasite out of ryan's body and then it got labeled as his twin named sebastian and then it bullied him at school and then at 16, ryan's girlfriend cheated with the parasite and then the parasite told a bunch of living farts to kick ryan out and they did and then the parasite revealed that it has been dying and then ryan refused

I feel so bad for the first guy. I’m hoping he’s able to live the rest of his life the happiest he can be. You go, bro!
All OP ever wanted to do was have a loving twin brother, and have a family to fall back on (discluding the sister ofc)
And it’s absolutely despicable that they think they’re entitled for OP to save him, after everything he’s done to screw over his entire life, getting him disowned for being bi.

He was looking into getting a restraining order against then and asking what else he could do to protect his new family since he was afraid his parents might try to kidnap one of the kids.

In this case the problem is favouritism because OPs family hated him just for being born.
I cannot believe how devastating the first story was. In my eyes, the OP isn't the jerk, and I feel bad for him more than anyone else.
First story: I am glad he didn't give his kidney to his twin brother, because when I heard that his brother got his kidney failing because he kept getting wasted and drinking and stuff, I only thought: "honestly if I was him, I wouldn't want to donate my kidney either to someone who would only mistreat it and it get it wasted aswell just like the previous kidney. Thats not worth it at all, like damn, *hell nah, my poor kidney."*
The parents doesn't deserve the OP as their child, he was always suffering by his brother and they still disappoint him from the grave. The brother deserved what he got.
I hope you get a good life you deserved, that family doesn't deserve you
Thats … not how the saying goes..
@@Aneliuse Can you elaborate?
@@clshep it actually means the opposite of what you think it means.
“Blood is thicker than water” means that your family bonds (bio. parents, sisters etc.) will always be stronger than the friends you make on the road. Hence “blood is thicker”.
The blood you spilled on the battlefield isnt related to this. 😅
@@Aneliuse The actual complete quote is this:
“The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.”
The saying means that bloodshed on the battlefield creates stronger ties than the bonds with family or “water of the womb.” More directly, it means that relationships you make yourself are far more important than the ones that you don’t choose.

Others don't get to make the choice for them.
4th story: There's a limit to how long you can delay a purchase. A year sounds extreme. So selling to someone else is fair at that point.
Story #1, no op is not a jerk. After a lifetime of pain and misery OP’s twin and parents expects op to obediently hand over part of his body so that golden twin lives, they can quote blood is thicker than water all they want family are those who love you and take care of you. And the family that still attacks op are the ones who are ACTUALLY going to hell.

Stupid was fixing itself!
With toxic people, I try to always remember that even if I don't lift a single finger, they will one day die. In doing so, they will make the world a better place.
Knowing this allows me to smile right in their faces!
The fucked up part is that people like that never truly die. Hell, even in death, the brother was still effecting the op's life because of his parents who raised him to be the way he is. That's what got him killed, when you think about it. In retrospect, it was the parents who killed the brother, and the family still blames the op

There is a point a line, where family just isnt considered family anymore.
He had nine years to regret what he did to you and he chooses now.
Dont feel bad about it. You dont have any obligation to help the guy who made your life hell for years
Story 1: Once again, we see that how you treat others matters. You cannot treat someone like garbage for years and then reasonably expect them to bail you out of a bad situation, because no one has an obligation to help those who have mistreated them.
Karma's a bitch, and the op's twin found that out the hard way. I feel no sympathy for him and neither should the op

@@jackmagnium6115 I respectfully agree/disagree with you.
Yes, I agree with you that you shouldn't act out for revenge or cruelty, not even for the sake of getting even - at the end of the day, it's not worth it in the long run. But no, I wouldn't forgive my enemies, regardless of circumstances or reasons. It's healthy to move on from abusive/toxic relationships, but you shouldn't have to be "the bigger person", aka Doormat, for the sake of being better. Just cut off the toxicity, skip the drama, and move on with your life. Whatever happens to those who wronged you is not your problem, nor is it your business anymore. Don't get roped back in cause now, after realizing they're on death's door and get their just rewards, they want forgiveness and favors. Fuck. That. What OP wasn't cruel or vindictive, hell, it wasn't even about getting their hopes up. OP went to the hospital (he didn't have to), was willing to give up his kidney (once again, didn't have to), and the twin nor the family, after all those years, STILL wanted to play the victim and dodge any/all responsibility for his past and current actions. In the end, he got what he gave. No more. No less.
And whatever "God" has planned for OP or wherever hell he's going to is NOTHING compared to what's in stored for his toxic twin. And that goes for his toxic parents as well.
@@jackmagnium6115 I do dare, cause GOD isn't the one in OP'S shoes. Nor is he in anyone else's. But hey, since we're all only human, we'll all have a place in hell, one way or another.

I've heard this story many times, but the justice at the end makes me want to re-listen to it over and over again

The outcome of the 1st story is a perfect example of how the universe gives back, how the gods punish those who cause harm. It comes back to an old and amazing phrase; karma's a b*tch.
I would've sue my parents for neglecting me and my brothers abusive situation going on after taking pictures. I would donate my kidney to someone else who's compatible just out of spite (if I didn't have any health issues myself) and let them see. I would visit my brother every week (if I have the time) to tell the nurses everything he had done when we were young. And I would laugh at him asking him whether he ever actually regretted it before he realise he had a health problem. I would bring him alcohol and place it next to him. I might even drink some in front of him. Ask him what he wanted to do if he didn't had this condition. I would talk to my parents more about what he did, every time they called me a slur I would jot it down and screen shot and sue them for cyberbullying. I would tell what he did and sue my aunt's and uncle too. I would dig up every little dirt I got to get them ridiculed. I would make them miserable. I would show tell my parents about the hopes and dreams of my twin after his death. I would've went to the funeral and give a speech on how sorry and sad I am for the death on my brother and if anyone speaks up I would ask them whether they know what the brother did and whether they had even felt sorry for me for once?

The fact he’s reviewing the blame after all this time is disgusting. The parents failed at being good parents, and the brother failed and being a kind guy. While I feel bad that he passed away, he had it coming for how toxic he was to his brother.
"I'm dying"
"I miss the part where that's my problem"
I've seen a lot of comments saying he murdered his twin. Donating an organ is vastly different to wilfully taking someone's life. OP may have been a match but he still had the right to deny donating his own kidney. I mean, who knows if he did that his brother would have went back to drugs etc and demand the other? Is his life worth more than OPs? No, but that's what the brother believes. This brother caused OP to be disowned and lose everything before OP found his new family. Its Karma.
In the stories where the op gets revenge i wanted them to celebrate openly to piss off the antagonist of the story and the family that did something bad

By the way congrats to the OP on getting a husband, congrats!
The saying actually means that bonds that you’ve made by choice are more important than the people that you are bound to by the water of the womb. The saying reflects the fact that the bonds you choose for yourself can mean much more than the ones you don’t have much say in. = quite accurate.

Story #1
My opinion:
No, your practically a stranger to these people, if they can ask you they can ask another person. It's not your fault that he died. It's his for being a terrible person and brother and living such a "hardcore" life
Story 2, The BiL probably was always annoyed that this "floozy" would sleep with "anyone" except him, when really... She chose all of her partners, and she can choose as many or as few as she wants.
None are jerks if they are telling the truth and not withholding anything important.
The OPs bro said “all the things we did to each other” is when the OP decided “Nope”
The first story is almost completely similar to a story from BE AMAZED. The guy had bullied his brother, outted his own brother for being bisexual and had kidney failure, but nothing was said about a pregnancy.
The twin got himself killed due to his own life choices.
Far as I'm concerned it's KARMA.
There was a likely chance the evil twin could have just kept using substances and drink even after the surgery. I don't blame the op at all.
It was just manipulation to help him from a desperate circumstance he created. It serves the brother and parents right honestly.

First story: every single time one of his family members would’ve messaged me saying that I was going to hell I would’ve said and I quote “save me a seat because I’m sure you’ll be there long before I will “
Hope the evil twin is getting just what he gave to his brother but worse. Far worse
first op is 100% NOT a jerk. after all that his brother has done, it's perfectly reasonable that he didn't give away his kidney.
*Story #2* - I think Jacob is just bitter that the OP did not sleep with him during college which is why he kept bringing that up
This story reminds me of one of my favorite lines in a TV show "God killed you I just made sure it took"
Nope. Absolutely not the jerk. You did right.
First story: To quote a wise squirrel "blood may be thicker than water but that just makes it easier to drown"
for the first situation where the family treats a person like shit and kicks them out when they are not your family.
