I agree and the thing that irks me is that when the cheaters get married and have a kid. Like that clears what they did when they didn’t.
I feel bad for the baby. Their father wants nothing to do with them, and their mother has successfully alienated himself from everyone in the family. The kid is going to have such a rough life with parents like that.

I feel bad for the sister's kid. She didnt choose to have scummy parents, but has a dad who wants nothing to do with them and a mother who cant support herself. If they dont mean too, she will be somewhat shunned by their family for a reason they doesnt understand. Eventually when they're older, theyll learn the truth of what their mother did and will have to live with that.
This is why education is important. I think since her mother was too busy she can't really educate her daughter so yeah she did what she wasn't supposed to
Now that has got to be the sickest revenge that I've seen in my entire life the only thing that could make that plan better is if you pretend that you love him again and then cheat on him so that he can experience the same pain that you felt that would pretty much be the cherry on top.

She being a Filipina and her boyfriend cheated on her makes sense, it's very very common here in the Philippines. Although on the flip side if you find someone who genuinely loves you expect that if you're gonna die first that he/she will be near your death bed trying to comfort you and probably encourage you to get better until your last senses shuts down
this story is a perfect representation of "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me", she's not the jerk, in fact, her ex is the jerk for cheating on her, as well as other girls, so many times!

You’ll be known as that one trashy guy and sadly, in many, many cases the girls would get flak for it to and would be ostracized or treated horribly, spoken about horribly, etc. That’s why I said they wanted him burned badly. Wow. I wish I was that devious when my ex cheated on me while I was carrying his eldest daughter. Because like this girl's sister the other girl was pregnant my daughter and her eldest are 6 months apart. His excuse for even leaving me the morning after my daughter was born was that she didn't have anyone to take care if her but I still had my parents (and his but they were in denial about the girl he cheated with being the only guy she was with and it was a giant mess on its own) which given her mother was also alive and well only hurt more. Then when things weren't working out with his new chick after we had broken up shortly after I was cleared of my 6 week check he wants to get back woth me saying how he was wrong and shouldn't have done it etc (this was 10 years ago) and currently is no longer dating her either. She isn't the jerk for this. If my boyfriend found out something like this happened being the new boyfriend in all this he would seek out both my sister and the ex to ruin them more. Hypothetically of course. I don't have a sister and I was mostly over it when I met him.

In Mexico and other latino countries it's similar. While I come from a more "modern" (aka westernised) family and I was expected to move out at 18, I have many friends and family who still live with their parents and grandparents. And yeah, it's actually quite nice. The elderly are taken care of and the children can save to have a safer start in life. More well to do families tend to stick together less since they can afford it tho.

If this story is true the Ex is a massive piece of shit. He can't stay loyal to save his life. But him saying that he'll take all responsibility for the child as the father, yet didn't want to be with the sister anymore isn't him being a jerk. He doesn't have to be with the sister in order to be the father. OP and the sisters personal feelings aside if he takes care of his child and raise them right. But he also need a therapist to figure out why he can't stay loyal for very long in relationships, cause that could effect his relationship with his child, and the child's eventual outlook of relationships in the future.

Not the Jerk at all. Everything OP's sister is going through is a direct consequence of her actions. After all this, she's still pining for an abusive, manipulative cheater. She never even tried to apologise, or make amends. You can't expect even a shred of sympathy, if you don't even bother trying to mend fences. Not that I see how a sisterly relationship could ever be re-established after something like this. She is in a hell entirely of her own making. I only feel bad to the innocent child who drew the short straw, being born to a pair of garbage human beings. In OP's shoes, the only support I'd ever even consider offering is adoption. That is, assuming I could look past the kid's conception and I was in a position to take on parental responsibility. OP doesn't tick any of those boxes and she's in no way obligated to take on that responsibility. I just hope that poor child finds someone in their life who will treat them with kindness and support them.

My mom has 5 younger sisters. One of which married Tom who became my uncle. They had 2 children. Then they divorced. So uncle Tom married my aunts younger sister they had 4 children. Now there are cousin/brother sister. That aunt divorced Tom. Years later Tom married another aunt. This aunt is older then to two other. Nothing like keeping it the family!
What a madman!!! I knew of a guy who would marry a woman, get her pregnant and move on to the next. A serial procreator if you will. Funny part is he used the same names over and over for his children. So there were several half-siblings with the same name.
