    I am liking Wheelers personality. Her energy is next level. The time she put a towel in CC mouth to stop CC mouthing off to the refs for another technical foul was like a big sister would do. So hilliariious but also good for CC to have a teammate tbat is helping her emotionally. It would be a big downer to not have Wheeler off the bench.

    • @Smido83
      @Smido83 2 дня назад +2

      Boston was more efficient last season... by a mile! She had the biggest problems to adapt, cause she was allways the vocal point on all of her teams. Now she has to play differently and it took her a while. I dont blame her. But thats te truth. Same is true for Mitchell. She needed time to get acclimated to another ball dominant guard next to her. She also never played in a Backcourt like that.
      But a lot of CC fans are so impacient. If something doesnt work from day 1, all is bad, players cant play and need to go... everyone is at fault, except CC of course. I think she is the greatest talent the league has ever seen. All WNBA 1st team and top 3 MVP in her rookie season.... BUT she also needed time to get used to the league. She is nowhere near perfect. Not many games (13 or so) but she did! But even back then, it was allways the teammates, the coaches, the bad officiating, the league overall...
      Cant remember how many videos even this guy did saying Mitchell has to go, Boston is bad, how was she a 1st pick... Wheeler shouldnt play... havent seen a video like that in months... isnt that strange?

    "In the WNBA, the maximum salary for a player is divided into two categories: the regular max and the supermax. In 2024, the regular max is $208,219 and the supermax is $241,984.
    The supermax contract is typically only available to players who have been with the same team for at least five or six years. " Pay Mitchell the supermax contract! She more than deserves it.

    I still fail to as why Catlin isn’t considered league MVP? No discredit to Wilson, but she’s been in the league for how many years now? Yet, to have a rookie come in and break records in WNBA history that she didn’t do this year. A rookie shouldn’t be breaking all time records, the one who has been in the league longer, you would think right? Wilson had more years to rack up more points in accolades in so many categories, but for a rookie in her first year to surpass those numbers(only half way through her season with some records), while at the same time, no vet playing has yet to catch her, says a lot. Breaking that many records surpassing over past and active vets, should mean something. shouldn’t it?

    Giving deference to Wilson, Stewie and Collier, for now CC is top 4, and with the greatest offensive skill set in the league. I would tend to think that Mitchell and Boston are more like top 16-20, and Boston could climb higher than that.

    • @benjaminsmith2287
      @benjaminsmith2287 2 дня назад

      She's not 4. There still are other players like Copper and even Sabrina that play well against tough teams where Caitlin still, from lack of experience, will struggle. Caitlin will be top 4 soon, maybe next year. But her lack of experience and building up certain parts of her game, has her not in the top 5 yet.

    • @mattgoldberg4335
      @mattgoldberg4335 2 дня назад

      @benjaminsmith2287 We disagree. CC's all-around stats are better than Copper, Sabrina, J Young, Arike, Plum, Loyd, whoever. And intangiby, she opens up even more space for her teammates.
      Who would be your top 5?

    I would LOVE to see Wheeler on the team next year but they have to drop her pay dramatically. She is a backup point guard and should be paid like it. That would let us bring a superstar forward to the team and win. Her leadership, big sister attitude, and love is awesome for the team…but the paycheck isn’t justified.

    So if you add Rickea? You get 13pts, Add Cardoso you get 10pts 10 rebs, Add AR you get 8pts and 15 rebs...👉🏾with None of them do you get 19pts or 10 assist.. No easy buckets for anyone, Kelsey aint giving you 25- 30pts since the Allstar break, not 91% from the FT...And no gravity pull that requires a dbl teams, no increase in PACE and 4,000 fans (boring)...thus you MISS PLAYOFFS AGAIN. 13-27 or worse... CC IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.

She's raising the value of her team, the other teams and the WNBA. She'll make those women millionaires if they just open their eyes.

    Depends on who you’re replacing these players with, but I think Clark is better than an OK point guard more so than Mitchell is better than an OK shooting guard. Replacing Mitchell with Jordan Horston would be bad, but replacing Clark with Jace Sheldon would be worse. Right now, Wheeler is the replacement for both Clark and Mitchell, and I think the Fever are (since the break) way better with Clark-Wheeler than with Wheeler-Mitchell. Of course, Mitchell is still a super-bucket.

  • @BigJasonHenderson

    If Mitchell is out, CC increases her scoring, still pushes the pace, dishes to everyone, etc. Without CC, not even a chance for playoffs but still better than last year. That said, way better together.

    From watching this year, I would not have guessed Wheeler was an All-Star game MVP. That puts her in the company of Lisa Lesley, Tina Thompson, Sheryl Swoopes, Maya Moore (what is it with WNBA players and alliteration?), and Candace Parker. I know she's older now (though she still has a crazy motor), but imagine if she were to start playing more like an All-Star MVP. She's already playing so much better than at the start of the season.
