Chicago needs a great playmaking pass first guard for Angel and Kamilla, there’s way too many times where they’re open in the paint and don’t get the ball.
As for Seattle I just want them to give Nika minutes, I don’t know how they expect her to develop getting 2 minutes every other game smh. But yea a player like Paopao would be great for them.

Muhl will be waived, I'd put money on that. She's just not pro material and will never be. Just look at Westbrook, she was waived by the Storm in the first season and to date, is not on ANY WNBA roster. Christyn Williams, same, waived from Phoenix and NO WNBA team has picked her up. This is definitely... the boldest mock draft lmao. Theres a non zero percent chance Aneesah goes 2nd in this draft and to have her not even a first rounder is... interesting lmao.
As a Sky fan, my draft board is
    1. Paige (duh)
    2. Olivia Miles- We need shooting, but we just as badly need a floor general to get our bigs easy looks, hoping she falls to us
    3. Pao-Pao- Someone who can share ball handling duties with Chennedy, but shoot lights out, again hoping she falls to us
    4. Raven Johnson- Pesky defender who has chemistry with Kam, and is good friends with Angel. I think the next player on my board is better, but because of the vibes I think she would fit Chicago better
    5. Georgia Amoore- Great passer, but not floor general if that makes sense. I just think she could replicate Dana's minutes and hopefully be better lmao.

Truth! I believe over the years we've also seen some late 1st round picks not make the roster of the team that drafted them, to say nothing of 2nd or 3rd round picks (although, to be fair, 2nd round picks in the NBA don't always make the roster.) I'm also hopeful that because of the increase in interest (and thus $$) the next CBA will include some changes to the salary cap so every team can invest in their best players *and* carry the maximum 12 players on their roster instead of 11.

Indiana’s needs shooting just as bad as they need defenders. We’ve seen our 3 & 4 positions not being able to shoot which hinders our offense. So grabbing a 26% 3 pt shooter, albeit an elite defender, wouldn’t really maximize the ceiling on the group. If they can’t get Citron I’d look to get a backup pg who can spell minutes for cc. Look to address 3 & 4 positions in free agency/trade.

Citron makes a lot of sense for Indiana too. She could initiate the offense in the current 'Erica Wheeler' role, when Clark is playing off-ball and also could back up Lexie Hull at the 3 and several years from now if she develops well, could step in at SG if Mitchell decides to leave. I feel like Clark/Mitchell/Citron would be pretty tough to beat as a three-guard rotation.

Thank you Hunter, this was a Great Projection and ratings by you in my opinion. I also enjoy the commentary, because you explain details, and your opinion regarding your pics, which is always appreciated. I especially agree with your pic of Bueckers, I think pairing her up with Edwards her former teammate, and depending where the team wants to go, but with Bueckers there it would definitely turn things around for them, and no doubt she will be placed as a Starter. I also like your pic with the Indiana Fever, Saniya Rivers, She definitely has The defensive skills, And you are so correct about Indiana and they desperately need defense. Although as a Fever Fan, I honestly and personally would not mind having Dominique Malonga, if Rivers is not available, because Malonga has incredible reach and at her height and skills, and that The Fever does not have a big at Center, and I think the Fever would benefit from a having a Center, again just a personal opinion. Lastly, a couple items,- Haley Van Lith was not mentioned in your rankings, I thought she was going into the draft next year? Or is there A specific reason that you know of that you did not include her in the rankings? I could be mistaken on her being a 2025 Draft. I know she was selected for the 2024 Olympic team now.
Also, I was wondering if you had heard anything about Scalia and Elster who are 2 Great Players That were undrafted, likely due to the fact of such a high grade draft class of players this year. I kind of feel bad when players get undrafted in the WNBA that were really good or played Very well in their last couple of years at college and really developed. It’s kind of a shame that there’s only 12 WNBA teams right now but the expansions are coming like you said.
I watched Scalia play and she is fantastic as a shooter. I can’t believe how many three-pointers that she has made. I know she broke The All time Indiana 3 point Record, And she shoots 42.6 from the field and over 86% from free throws, but her small size at 5’10 probably played a big role in her not being selected. But then, again, players like Skylar Diggins Smith, is very small, and you can see what she can do. Anyway, If you have any info about either Scalia or Elster that you’ve heard, feel free to comment. Thanks again Hunter for a great Topic, and Rankings, and commentary.

I believe Aneesah Morrow should be a top five-Ten pick. i agree she is a a solid 3 small forward in the WNBA and is too small to guard 4's, she would be a beast in chicago that front line of her angel and kamilia would be something else! she's amazing off the dribble and drawing double teams, chicago does need shooting, but you gonna get that anyway maybe try to get haliey van lith late in the 3rd or something........you don't lose out on a possible generational small forward.....

One problem I see with the WNBA draft in general is that there aren’t that many spots in the league in general and it seems like the players who are there stick around for a long time and have long careers, so there are just way more players coming into the league each year than there are spots available. That means that a lot of these players will never get a real chance.

disagree with the idea Paige is the sure number 1, yes she’s the highest probability but I could see some of these teams with pg going with Kiki over Paige. Kiki will be 22 and Paige will be 24 so you have a younger player and a dominant pf/c who has a solid jumper. Now I agree if Washington has 1 and 3 they would take Paige needing a pg, but I actually see them taking Aneesah Morrow at 3.

    • @Smido83
      @Smido83 2 месяца назад

Washington, Dallas, LA, Golden State, even Chicago ... all would choose Paige if possible. Specially cause she isnt a true PG. She is more of a scoring guard who can also playmake a bit. Means she fits next to most "classic" PG's who are more of initiators then finishers on the court. Specially because she is a great floor spacer. Hell I can even see her next to Clark, if for some strange reason the Fever get the 1st pick. I read very contradicting things about the next draft. But as far as I know the Fever would still have a lottery pick right now, cause the records of the last 2 sesons will be combined to create the draft order. If thats true, well we will see. BUT IF, it would mean Mitchell is most likely gone and CC/Bueckers would be the most methal backcourt in WNBA history!

NYL 84.3 ppg and Minn 87 ppg but as far as defence goes the Fever was tied with the NYL for rebounds at 36 rpg. They are not a good 3 point shooting team like most people think, they shot and ave of 29- 3 point shots per game and only made 7 per game with a percentage of 24/1 % and that sucks compared to the top teams. They need a big that can finish at the rim, rebound and block shots and they also need another 3 point shooter.
