Thanks, Jei! We spent a weekend getting it all up. Chris' parents came and helped us. It was a big project.

The Gallagher units can be repaired should the need it. I got a kick out of the ducks. Thanks.

Hi, if you ever need help with troubleshooting electric fence or your unit, look me up. All I do is this kinda stuff. www.fencerfixer.com
The fault finder type of testers are worth their weight in gold. The only downside to the Speedrite fault finders is that if they ever go bad, they're not repairable. Tru-test, the makers of that brand, don't make any parts for it, so you have to buy a new one. Most brands of fence testers are like that, except for one brand. That brand is Gallagher. All their testers are repairable.
Another thing with those fault finder type of testers, no matter the brand. Is there higher the Amp reading is at the fence the worse the short you have. You want high kv and low amps. If you go to the fence and test it and you see 4kv or something like that and high amps, then you'll know for certain that something is dragging down your voltage. LOVE THE VIDEO!

What kind of animals do you keep with 2 wires?

Calves. The horses and larger cows only need one strand. But we had calves going under the wire and no mama to call them back in. We have also melt pigs in with 2 strands near the ground.
