Beautiful! Thank you to the caring and compassionate men who saved him. I come from the Ojibway Tribe, Eagles are sacred to The Anishinabe people, Eagles represent so much to us, they are considered messengers, they are strength, they represent so much meaning. Not only are they protected, but as First Nation people we are not allowed to kill them for their feathers, it is considered the biggest sin against our Sacred values. If a Native person has Eagle feathers, or claws in their possession it is because the Eagle was already dead and “gifted” to the nearest tribe, we are allowed to ONLY find feathers, some people will search their entire lives and will never find one. Sit back, hope my story isn’t too long...lol... I found mine while walking the shores of Lake Superior. My husband who passed away at the young age of 42 to ALS, lived in Texas, we resided there for 22 years until he passed. I’m originally from Ontario and live within walking distance to one of the most beautiful beaches with sand dunes as far as the eye can see. The first time he came to this beautiful place, he was so taken back by its beauty, the sounds, the birds, the waves, the smell of driftwood , the smell of CLEAN AIR...lol...and our beautiful sunset over the mountains. (As anyone who is familiar with Texas, there are very little mountains with the exception of big bend national park). During times when I had to be in Canada, I’d feel so lost, lonely and disconnected without him 😢💔, one Saturday evening a day before he had to go back home (I stayed behind with my dying sister), we spent our last day after a 2 week visit at this beautiful beach. We both stood at the waters edge, and he tells me..”my baby, when you miss me (crying) stand at the waters edge and whisper my name, and I will be with you right here” as he points to my heart. So every visit I made home, when I’d miss him, I’d stand at the waters edge. On his last visit (we did not know at the time, until a year later that he would be diagnosed with ALS) We had gone to a different beach where we both sat and had a bottle of wine...we were the only two on that beach every time we went....so peaceful and beautiful, this one particular beach was tiny, full of driftwood and mountains on each side, such a secluded peaceful place. 3 years after he passed away I was finally able to go back to that spot....I cried, oh yes I cried....on that day I walked and sat where we drank our wine (we had no wine opener, our wine came with a cork, so you can imagine how desperate we grew to open our wine...lol...we ended up finding a piece of driftwood and pushed the cork into the bottle..lol..hey, it worked..lol) as I sat near “our spot”, I got up to walk near the waters edge, but felt at that moment I was only torturing myself and felt I needed to leave this area....as I was leaving....I decided for whatever reason to turn around and walk maybe 10 feet then I stopped...I whispered his name and again I could feel that same feeling of loss....so I again immediately stopped and turned around to leave, just as I was walking away, I looked down...and there it was...the biggest most beautiful Eagle feather I have ever seen in my life...at that very moment I felt this immense feeling of relief, I felt at peace, I felt love all around me...I felt happy and calm. I still have my feather in a beautiful box. I now use it for smudging (sacred medicines, sage, tobacco, sweet grass and cedar) when I need to clear my mind or when I ask for guidance. Sorry my story was so long, but I couldn’t leave parts out...my Steve was my world...it has been 12 years, time heals.but I have my moments...I will see him again one day, I know this. I think they know. My grandpa saved a bird in Stevensville Montana. He and a man named Dale and his kids nursed it back to health. Then they let it go. Every year when the bird would migrate, it would stop off at Dale's house to say hello. True story. In fact, Dale put this story in one of his books.
It is so good people treat these birds as the incredible free spirits they are and go out of their way to help them when they need a helping hand. Thank you all raptor center staff and volunteers across the globe!
Having spent more than 30 years working with eagles here in Maine I thought I'd seen everything but this is a first for me! Spectacular! You folks deserve a medal for taking care of such a magnificent creature in a time of need! This cruel world needs more folks just like you! Thank you!
I lived in this region for a little while will never forget a certain mid-March "thunder blizzard" which brought down thousands of trees and disconnected energy for about a week. The snow was coming down so fast that you couldn't clear one side of the windshield before the other side was covered again with a heavy layer of wet, sticky snow. The birds have to hunt and protect their nestlings in the thick of that and it seems likely that their tails would tend to attract a load of ice and snow. If the temperatures don't allow for an immediate thaw, of course the "golf ball" will turn into a "baseball" will turn into a "bowling ball." Nice rescue!!!
A little de-icing at the crotch level for you too, eh? That was funny! Chicago got so cold this winter that your body parts could freeze and fall off. Careful! You did a magnificent rescue job with the eagle, very well done! Not easy in the best of weather, you braved the frigid waters albeit with leaks in your gear, that takes a real man! Very well done. Thank you so much for saving this beautiful boy, and for the raptor rescue work you do. It takes a great soul to put words into action and help wildlife. These birds are magnificent.

Thank you for sharing your story, it touches my heart! May his soul be in peace with God and may you both be reunited with God for eternity!
Very beautiful story, hope you are doing good.
I loved your story Angelle Hull. How amazing you found the eagle feather at that time and place ! Truly an inspiring narration. May God bless you. Saludos from Uruguay
Beautiful story, best wishes, sincerely a stranger on the internet
I like how saved animals are: “I was about to die, and all of a sudden strange creature saves me and gives me food”
Sounds like a true story of some people too.
❤
I think they know. My grandpa saved a bird in Stevensville Montana. He and a man named Dale and his kids nursed it back to health. Then they let it go. Every year when the bird would migrate, it would stop off at Dale's house to say hello. True story. In fact, Dale put this story in one of his books.
Yea all that complaining about humans but when did any tiger or zebra come to rescue a human in need?
I don't think there's any actual reasoning going on there. Just moment to moment impressions.
Very touching video. You guys certainly earned my respect! God bless you all for helping this majestic eagle!
It is so good people treat these birds as the incredible free spirits they are and go out of their way to help them when they need a helping hand. Thank you all raptor center staff and volunteers across the globe!
Heart warming. Thanks for a nice ending.
...and TAIL warming.
What an honor to be able to help these beautiful birds. Many blessings to you all. ❤
You guys are my heroes. Well done.
... спасать животных - это огромное удовольствие и счастье, спасибо таким людям ...
Так он его в клетку посадил, нахуй так спасать, что бы потом всю жизнь мучать
Wow, such satisfying work to be doing. I'm so happy you were there to rescue this beautiful eagle. He knew he was being helped.
6:40 he gets all fluffed up and is so cute! Thank you for feeding and caring for him!
Having spent more than 30 years working with eagles here in Maine I thought I'd seen everything but this is a first for me! Much credit to those involved in this rescue without which this eagle would almost certainly perished. With all the bad stuff focused on these days it's always good to see humans doing good. Now if only we can get Congress Critters to follow this example...
If we could only get TRUMP to follow this example but he would have let our National Bird die. He prefers the Russian eagle.
Beautiful eagle beautiful rescuer with experience and talents about raptor and beautiful video. Thank you for all your efforts to rescue this majestic bird. Bless your heart and keep up a great job!
Meno male e grazie a Dio ci sono umani ancora pronti a dare aiuto agli animali ,magnifico esemplare una vera offesa al creatore non intervenire.Bravi veramente bravi
Thank you for your work saving these beautiful raptors. Thank you for posting the video to share these amazing birds to the world.
You are angels without the wings. Thank you!
That's such a wonderful thing to do, guys! And it is so nice you videoed it and let us know the whole process. Enjoyed it very much!
One of the most beautiful creatures on earth.
bless you for doing this. It’s nice to know there are still good people out here doing good works for animals.
Omg i cant believe how big a snowball he had stuck on him! Poor thing! Thank you for helping him
Wow WoW!!! Amazing dedication and work. Bless you all.
I was going to say "what's that big round thing It's carrying behind?" It's ice! Thanks men saving. Beautiful bird. Knew you were helping.
Great to see the king of sky, gets his wings back and dearly thank those who care.
Sam Sen yea gets his wings back to fly in a big cage. That's actually sad.
Fantastic job. Patience , understanding, and above all, love for all living things. Respect and gratitude from UK 🇬🇧👍
What a beautiful eagle, what a great job you did with it!
WoW, indeed! Excellent rescue, and Thank You for all you do!
So beautiful and the beautiful people who helped this Bald Eagle!
Looks so majestic landing on that shelf.... this is the beauty of wild life... thank you for saving this eagle..
I'm having an eagle rescue marathon. Just impossible not to love these. So heartwarming!
Congratulations guys, you're great ! Merci for saving this eagle.
The pride and strength this animal reflexes is amazing ...
A grown Bald eagle well in its mid life and or later life can easily take on a wolf or dear, with caution of course. But naturally, any animal on the ground has a tendency to make a run for it when there is something that big coming from above. It's a missile, you know...
Спасибо, что спасли. Какая же красивая птица!
So dedicated and nurturing in the whole operation, the bird knew it needed to temporarily surrender to the process, thankyou soooo much.
This is an amazing example of good people being kind stewards. Thank you boys, you make the rest of us look better than we usually do.
Being in the right place at the right time and going above and beyond in doing the right thing can make all the difference in the world. Great work guys. God Bless
Awesome rescue and rehab, wow! When the tap was running on his tail, I believe he knew he was being saved. Great job!
I am so grateful that there are people like this in the world. They make Earth a better place. Thank you guys, for saving the miracle of nature
👍
I'm embarrassed to admit that I still don't know how to leave RUclips comments with emojis in them. I still resort to :-) + O_o
oh to see this beautiful eagle fly, & to know she will be released is just AWESOME❤ & this is due to the heroes that make it happen, YOU ALL ROCK🤘❤💋
I never realized how beautiful life is making such creations like this can only be described as Magnificent.
Evolved not created and yes it's breathtaking :)
@@chrischickering1959 stop trying to shove the word evolve in our mouths because it is clearly just a theory.
@@Amin-ij6mi and you don't understand that theory is the graduation of fact. "Just a theory" makes no sense.
@@chrischickering1959 No you are just scared of the very thought that there is an intellegent capable force that shaped our very own existence.
@@Amin-ij6mi athiesm makes life more beautiful. Knowing that this is the only life we get means every second is precious. Abrahamic religeons have oppressed women and manipulate the poor with tiethes for eons. These religeons are nothing short of a death cult.
Amazing how docile eagles seem to be when people are helping them. Shows a great intelligence imo
Beautiful creature, he will never forget this I believe..
OMG You are ANGELS for this Eagle. Love the bit of sink-washing for the ice-ball. Eagle knew you were helping, and didn’t beat the crap outta you. God bless you!
Lol 😂
idk pretty sure that is blood on his beak at 6:16
residual from mealtime
After watching this video, I truly believe their is hope for humanity in this day in age. Thank you for a kind act to such a beautiful and majestic symbol of our country. Big shout out from UMASS Amherst.
How wonderful it is that in this world there are people who save our land, animals! And they make this world beautiful! God bless you!❤
I don’t understand how anyone could dislike this video.
trolls, people with psychiatric illnesses, obnoxious kids, and people in raging bad moods.
The music.
contrived production values do not = purposeful video. How many "singing water glasses," marimba and synthesizer can you take. On hypnotic repeat like when you're on hold on the telephone. This kind of noise should be illegal. It's not even music.
0AK 💯lmao
I totally agree. They are a bunch of non caring jerks!
Oh 😥poor baby. Bless you guys for rescuing the bird.
This renews my belief that there are still people in the world that care! God bless you!
Thank you so much for rescuing this beautiful eagle. 🙏🥰👏👏
Oh my goodness. That poor baby. Here in Australia 30th dec 2019 we are in a bad way with bush fires . Our wild life are being decimated . I never thought of the animals in the snow. Thank you xoxox
It breaks my heart to hear about the fires in Australia. We are thinking of you all down there and hope you get relief soon!
Marilyn Strube they are bad and about 20 km from my door .tragedy everywhere , be it blizzards floods or drought .the world is a far darker place these days but there are incredible people fighting to save our lives. Some fire fighters have died saving us. Prayers are always needed thank you xoxo
Marilyn Strube read the sunburnt country it is a telling poem that sums Australia up in a nut shell
Yeah, in Australia, for now, your eagles' asses are on fire, not on ice...
@@leannemayor5755 I will be praying for you and everyone else caught up in that terrible disaster! Stay safe!!!
The way these birds of prey glide in the air.....so breath taking! Thank you, for your hard work!
Spectacular! You folks deserve a medal for taking care of such a magnificent creature in a time of need! This cruel world needs more folks just like you! Thank you!
WOW! What a great thing you have done! Must be a very rewarding job! How lucky you are and the eagle also was lucky.
That is an INSANE amount of ice on that bird's tail. How did he end up with a bowling ball for a butt? 😛
Did you not notice it was yellow?
It was a big ol' piss ball frozen to his Eagle sack. Seen it 1000 times.
@@kitchfacepalm it was a joke. Clearly.
Hey lass in Angeles--Would you like to go ice fishing??
@@thomasfoss9963 Don't you think the fish have it hard enough with an ice shell and shortage of food during winter. Now we dangle hooks for them, poor things! Sorry tiger, I will have to pass on this one. I like fishies. Lets give them some space.
I live in humboldt park and it was colder then Alaska
Restored my hope in humanity,us humans can be truly amazing at times.Thank you from the Eagal family.
You were both lucky to have each other for the time you did.bless you❤
Thank you for the outstanding rescue.
Eagle looks so grateful
Way to go! Looked this up after seeing it on my news feed. Was hoping to hear the eagle’s voice! Oh well!
Eagle:”ok you don’t have to pay taxes for 6 years now. thank you”
😂😂😂
This one is excellent!!
How US-untypical. 😜
I like that idea. Rescue an eagle in the U.S., and live tax free.
@Happybidr - Or rescue a bear and just live free. 😜
Human superiority is not in its capacity for dominance, but in caring, living, respecting and above all teaching and understanding that we are part of this wonderful world ... congratulations.
