Kittens have been eating well on mice and probably birds. Kudos to the Owl for such affection and protection until they grew up and left the tree. This story would make a fine book about acceptance, nature and love.❤

This reminds me of a story from 1989 where a raven had raised a kitten until he was old enough to care for itself and had then found their human caretakers and after that the same raven came back each year to interact with the kitten it was such a unique relationship between the two and there was actual video of it.
