Preview of my SCARA bot

A very 3D printable, cheap and hopefully silent 3D printer/plotter/whatever I'm working on. Haven't decided how to do the z-axis yet, but I'm planning on using geared DC motors with encoders for closed loop control in the x/y plane.
I currently have this mounted to the side of a wine box for testing :)

This is not s SCARA robot but a Five-Bar parallel manipulator.

laurentien00 I'd say it is both. At least according to wikipedia. SCARA can be series or parallel.
