Followed the guide to the letter, even the exact answers for Milton. Did not get Hermanubis as mayor. This makes me think the social media choices prior to "Do not respond to social media" portion of the guide were more influential than thought.
Its probable, the game has a complex system. But if you didnt get Hermanubis, try to simply go directly to the V-TOL and skip the interview and Milton.

I tried that approach again while altering the suggested Social Media answers for: 1) "The Goal Megathread" --> "Nothing except what we also owe each other" 2) "The Theory of Everything" --> "I agree with Belmarsh" And it worked! For the Hermanubis path, there is an alternate dialogue choice. Is there even a future? → You'll find a way to be happy, everyone does eventually. My game didn't have the same as this video but I had this one.
Honestly, the sad part is becoming a Mayor doesn't even have an impact in the game, outside a few dialogues and a cutscene of literally 3 sentences in the ending credits.
I disagree I thought Byron was easily the best. Alcatraz is basically just another version of Hermanubis, they are both extremely conservative in nature, though I agree Alcatraz is far less annoying compared to Hermey
I told Rand I'm still considering it 6:50 instead of lying, he seems to believe me. Is this good enough?! I didn't want to lie about lying, I didn't want to commit to Rand ( I don't like him. So I chose middle of the road answer. Do you think I'm safe? Basically similar to Herman
How do you even get these elections to appear? In my play-through I was knocked out and when I woke up, Byron was the new mayor. I never saw any speeches or whatever. I also never even met Rand

ok, even after not being able to do the somnodrone i kept going, and when i met hermanubis i didnt have a "i'm still deciding" option, and i cant answer social media after some time

@@SlayerSeraph that’s correct, you can do the cloud save before using the Somnodrome and from that point you can experiment with choices. You should do the story puzzles first up to where you are required to go to the Megastructure (talking to Hermanubis near the V-TOL), then you go to the Somndrome which is optional, and do the cloud save, thats the sweet spot for faster testing the choices as after that you simply board the V-TOL

Wait, something I don't fully understand - trying to avoid Spoilers here too since this is my first (hopefully only) Playthrough - when I've done all Puzzles + reached the Somnodrome + Required to go to the Megastructure: Must I board the VTOL and proceed to go through to Megastructure section - every time and do the story/puzzles there multiple times? I can't just get and see the Mayor choice Trophies after Somnodrome choices? You have to replay the whole Megastructure every time to see who's the selected Mayor..? I kinda wanted to get rid of Herman and Rand choices - even thought about using Flames to skip all puzzles - then reload the Area and go slowly through the puzzles, Megastructure and Byron's Mayor choic and do the story in slow, thorough and immersive pace.
@@SlayerSeraph yes you have to board the VTOL and do the Megaestructure every single time, but without spoiling much, its a very short trip. Though annoying.
@@inferatus that’s correct you either use it or study it, you can’t do both, thats why I say to use it. Anyway, not sure how does that affect, did the Somnodrome broke?
@@BlackTorito yeah I think Xbox removed that ability on the Xbox One if I remember correctly :( you can save-scum with cloud saves and do the endings offline, but achievements don't count offline on Xbox
@@lukesanford9026 I have done offline play with a cloud backup to unlock achievements offline in many other games. I don't know why it doesn't work in this game. Normally, you'd create a cloud save, then go offline and play, meeting the criteria for whatever achievements. When done, delete your local save data, then go back online. The achievements you met the criteria for should unlock. When you load up the game, it syncs with your cloud save (since you have no local save, after deleting it) and you're back at the point where your "backup" was. I've done that strategy for many other games on Xbox with branching paths. However, with this game, I've done it twice, getting Rand elected both times, but neither time when I went back online did any achievements unlock. Not sure why.
It's funny that Jeremy can also be elected mayor, but there's no trophy/achievement tied to that. Poor Jeremy.

Yes, they reset, you can only answer them on each Act

Did you try the alternative? Byron is actually pretty easy, keep trying with different choices that are popular

Right at the beginning of Act 4, Hermanubis land with you in the Island, if you agree with him you won’t be able to tell something neutral

Don’t own PC, but it should be far more easier and free than in PS5

Sure its the same game, at least what happens in the game should work!
I can confirm it does not. You will need to do 3 near full completions to 100% (I just did this) as you can’t backup saves on Xbox like you can on pc.
