Perfect match with that green rubber band 👍👍
It looks better everyday as the patina gets darker. If only I could find a bronze buckle.
I have seen several reports from 925 owners (I am one) that Tudor has declined to reveal the alloy used in the case. If correct, why would they stamp Al on the case and reveal their proprietary alloy? I believe that Al refers to the bezel insert metal.
A you tube video "Tudor Black Bay 58 925 Secret Silver Alloy" by Alexito Odysseus claims to have subjected the case to x-ray flourescent analysis and come up with the following alloy composition: 92.97% silver/Ag; 2.79% indium / In; 2.56% zinc / Zn; & 0.01% titanium / Ti. I know this does not total 100% and is attributable to a small margin of error assigned to each calculation.
Very interesting. I’ll check that video out.
Not sure if it's been mentioned already - I've found the perfect bronze 16mm buckle to match my bb58! It's the buckle from Baltic. The colour is almost spot on (slightly darker patina though).
But I agree, I've had mine for 6 months, and the patina/tarnish is no where near as much as I'd thought. It stays a dull gold which is exactly what I wanted!
Great vid :)
Thank you. 🙌🏼 I heard about the Baltic buckle. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who’s bothered enough by it that they would buy an aftermarket buckle. 😂
Love the Bronze 😍
Thank you. 🙌🏻 I’m hoping for some patina one of these days.
Hi Pocket I like both watches but I lean more towards the silver. Dial and bezel combo are just great but I do love the arabic numerals on the bronze so I can see why you own both. Thanks for posting. 😎👍👏
I probably lean toward the silver too. Maybe the tarnish will blacken someday and make it perfect.
Nice video. It really is hard to pick one over the other. I keep going back and forth too, but I think I would pick the bronze if I had too.
Ditto. I like the idea of silver… But I probably prefer the look of the bronze.
I had a Black Bay Bronze and really liked how the patina developed. I let it go though (I got it before the 58 version came out and just wore a bit too large compared to my other divers).
How long did it take to get patina? I’m surprised how little mine has after 6 months. Thanks for watching. 🙌🏼
@@PocketWatchTime actually got mine used and it already was darkened. Pretty even though compared to the PVD back you could see the comparison on how bright it was originally. Only green spots were on some of the bezel's coin edge.
Always wanna get this 925
just waiting review on the patina
nowI think your bronze age better
It’ll take some time… I think the 925 will win the prize for best looking.
Solid video. I am looking at getting a 925. Did not think I would ever like the bronze as I want the gold one( can't justify used day/date rolex $$$) but on your green strap the bronze is 4 stars.
Thank you. 🙌🏼 I love the gold version too (I’d give it the green strap). 😁 Maybe if the market goes in the toilet… It might be a great piece to scoop up.
For sure don't want to see people broke but under 10k would be nice
@curtistignor3966 so true… I don’t want an economic meltdown. But, used watch prices turning into used watches instead of commodities would be a bonus in my world. 😁
I have the bronze oris and loved it, but had a bad experience with the bracelet it leaves patina on my wrist 😂 i threw it on a leather nato strap. I have a BB41 and certainly plan on selling or trading it for the BB58-925 cause it’s my favorite tudor too ! One day !
The bronze bracelet is great… But if you’re afraid of staining your wrist again, I definitely recommend the Vanguard straps.
My bronze Oris Pointer date brown dial came with a leather strap which tapered down to a 16mm bronze buckle. Might be able to find the buckle
Good info. Is it Oris branded?
@@PocketWatchTime yes is does say Oris on it
@@alanwilliams9308 That’s too bad. Wish it was a symbol only. I’ll still look it up. Maybe I could polish it off. 😁
The golden wheat tarnish will turn that ashy black you desire, but it will take 10-20 years.
I’m not sure I’m that patient. 😁😂
Thanks for the update, very cool to see how they progress! Also, strange how hard it is to find a 16mm bronze buckle... Because there are so many bronze watches I would rather own the 925. In regards to the color, my understanding is that it is dependent on the thickness of the tarnish. So it starts with that yellow hue, but will eventually turn black when the tarnish is much thicker.
That’s great news… I hope it turns black someday.
I honestly don’t understand why there aren’t more people talking about the bb925 tarnishing issue.
“The alloy is stable, the finish is final, and it won’t let you down in 1 million years” something along the lines of that I recall seeing in the Tudor new watch introduction clip for the 2021 watches and wonders- Shouldn’t this count as dishonest advertising or something?
Don’t get me wrong, I own and love my 925, especially with the tarnish, but this is my personal preference and I don’t believe this justifies Tudors claim…
I highly doubt things would be the same word, should the same have happened with another brand.
💯% agree - definitely guilty of false advertising. Wouldn’t have changed my purchase… but still bad claims.
How often have you worn the bronze? Mine got patina pretty quickly, after the first 2 months of almost daily wear. 2 years in and it looks about the same as it did after 6 months, deep bronze/brown color, live it. Yours looks almost unworn.
I have too many watches. 😢 I wear it… but not too often.
How does your bracelet look?
Bronze tarnishes quicker from skin oil while skin oil prevents tarnish on silver. Might explain the crown tarnish pattern situation you got going on.
Very true. I’m going to smear my fingers over the whole watch now and try to get a better patina. 😁
@@PocketWatchTime haha yo tell me why I was thinking the same thing 🤣
Does this rubber strap have a 925 buckle as well? Is it a custom size?
The rubber strap comes with a stainless steel buckle. I’m sure you could use the sterling silver buckle that comes with the watch… But I actually kept the stainless steel version on because the brand Vanguard symbol is actually very close to a Tudor shield.
just wear the bronze a bit more and it'll turn statue bronze as mine has. I have the original beast 43mm on leather and I love its non blingy look
You’ve inspired me - I’ll put it on the wrist today. 😁
The dial is gorgeous, the tarnish less pleasant looking in my view.
I definitely agree now… Less tarnish looks better. My hope… When it tarnishes fully and equally, it might look good. Time will tell.
Black Strap doesn't look right on the Silver case
It came with a black leather strap (I’ve never used it). I think the black rubber looks good. What color do you recommend?
I am to much into the shine for those watches
I get it. Shine ✨ is pretty nice. 😁
Please don't pull it out anytime you want !
I’m just trying to give the community what they want 😂
