As a kid he was the SHIT when he came fallin from the top of the screen..
He also knew how to fight. I heard that there is a deleted scene that depicts Shredder training against his Foot Soldiers. His hands are tied behind his back, and kicks the shit out of his sparring partners.

Batman vs. TMNT came out last year, that's one fully dark version. More blood than you'd expect, and I highly recommend for fans of both franchises.

This version of the Shredder was the first one I ever saw and to this day he remains my favorite incarnation of the Shredder, with both the Utrom and Demon Shredders from the 2003 cartoon coming in at a very close second.

It's never mentioned what Shredder's helmet was called in either the movies or the 1980's cartoon series but it was finally given a name in the 2012 cartoon series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles season 2 episode 'The Legend of the Kuro Kabuto' where Shredder told his minions the origins of his helmet that was made by his ancestor several centuries earlier from the helmets of enemies he defeated.
Based on the 1990 film, I believe Leonardo is my favorite turtle.
Future Raphael would be awesome to see! Carrying Leo's swords along with his sai, plus him losing his eye makes him look totally bad. Thank you for showcasing the Shredder. He is my favorite villain and always will be!

I'd like to see the Next Mutation Shredders profile. I'm fascinated with the figure from that show. On one of the ps2 games there's concept art for the abandoned 4th movie. There's a picture of the Shredder who bears a remarkable likeness to the NM figure. I always considered that my love action movie Shredder before Neca came along. I believe that's why the NM figures bared little resemblance to the series as they were based on the concept art for the 4th movie.

i wish they put him in the third movie. he wouldnt be the SAME Shredder, but instead of fighting a British dude, the domeo would hire an agent Foot Clan lead by the first Shredder. that would have been more interesting if you ask me

I'm tired of all these fake villians who make deals with the heroes ( thanthos and ajax, from deadpool). Now Shredder! You make a deal and you go back on your word! That's villian 101!
I'm not a fan of prequels. However, I can't help but to feel like a prequel of Master Splinter's story should be made into a film.
Shedder lived off burger king and menthol cigs in the movie.
If i where to continue his story in a proper sequil film, i would have him recovering in a coma with leaches sucking the ooze from him.
The leaches would grow in size and mutate into the 3 deformed "clones" we see from return to new york mirage storyline. Kari, being the daughter of Yoshi, raised by Saki would armor them to resemble her "father" to stike fear into the turtles. (Also to sell more toys duh!) Kari would be the same age as the turtles. Tatsu would functionally be leader until shredder wakes from comatose.
Somehow, shredder learns of the time scepter and he wants it to erase the turtles from the timeline, buts ends up lost. (Where he would meet Krang for a later film featuring Bebop and rocksteady and we learn that professor perry is an utrom just like krang or possibly turns into fugitoid or is a hybrid of the two perhaps?)
the reboot of tmnt should be a dark rated r version for the 80's kids that's now adult

He's basically a hardened killer born and raised in that environment, and has a gigantic superiority complex because of him being the Foot's golden boy; causing him to ultimately suffer a psychotic break when Tang Shen rejected him for his rival.

The 1990s movie shredder is one of my favorite shredders, for my ranking of shredders he is no.3 on my list while the 2nd is 2012 shredder and the 1st is IDW shredder while 4th is Batman vs TMNT shredder. I really like this shredder mainly because he can handle the ninja turtles on his own and he doesn’t need a transformers suit like the one he use from the Michael bay tmnt movie plus whenever I read a tmnt comic and I get to the shredder’s dialogue I always use the 1990s shredder voice for those dialogues.
You still need to go into more detail on Super Shredder. You alluded to a more thorough dive in the changes of shredder video....and honestly, given the level of detail you poured over the main 2 suits, the Super Shredder suit should've been in THAT 2019 video. But now, you reference it again.....and blaze right through it. Analyze this thing already.
In the original comic story shredder does die with honor by throwing a grenade at the turtles and donnie deflects the grenade

Nope. Leo stabbed Shredder through the chest and gave him the chance to commit suicide. Shredder refused and tried to take all the TMNT with him using a grenade but Donatello knocked him off the roof along with the grenade.

The video mentions how the Turtles and Shredder don’t fight each other in the second movie. In fact, they didn’t do much physical fighting in the cartoon at the time. Shredder would often retreat. So yeah. At the time the first movie was really the most if not only time the Shredder and the Turtles would engage in physicality.
