DontYouJuana hi 👋. Yes, to both questions. To remove blooms that are spent, I cut them off as close to the base of the plant as I can. If they are turning brown, they are spent. As for brown leaf tips, I also cut them off. Just enough to remove the brown edge. You don’t have to do this for the plant’s health. I just don’t like looking at crispy leaf edges 😊. Have you ever grown a giant piece Lily? My "girls" are about 10 years old and one of them was suffering. We're repotted her and now it's been about a week. Still looks like she's in shock. Used a great soil for her, great drainage too. Placed her in the same spot that she's been happy in for a few years....🤔 suggestions?

Hi Richard! Congratulations on your new plant baby! To answer your question, I wouldn't prune your new plant. Unless you have dead leaves. Those should be removed. I don't think I would remove any of the healthy leaves though. Your new plant is going through an adjustment from its old home to yours and removing healthy leaves would add stress. Thank you for tutorial I recently lost my dad and was given peace lily.I never been interested in plants until recently. Rohini Khosla most likely your plant would like more humidity. I use a humidifier to help increase humidity in my home but you can also just cut the brown tips off of the leaves. It won’t harm the leaves at all. Hope this helps!

Ashok Hi! Watering 💦 with rain water or filtered or distilled water will help with brown leaf tips. Increasing humidity around the plant will help with brown that runs along the whole leaf edge. Usually. After you have changed up these conditions you should see results in a few weeks. Let me know how it goes!
bunny fluffs hi 👋 and thanks for your sub! I am coming out with a peace lily soil recipe video soon (as soon as I get my new laptop as mine died a few weeks back). Until then I would recommend a soil like Espoma or Black Gold which can both be purchased on Amazon. Or any other potting mix that does not add fertilizer to the mix. I say this bc peace lilies can suffer root burn from harsh fertilizers especially in their soil mix. As for combining plants, that is totally ok 👌. Hope this is helpful to you. oa1986 hi 👋! Your Peace Lily is thirsty! First check to see that your planter has a drainage hole at the bottom of the planter. Next take your plant to the kitchen sink and turn the faucet on low 🚿. Then allow the water to continue to run all the way out of the bottom of the planter. Turn the water off and allow the excess water 💦 to run out the bottoms of the pot before putting your plant back in its spot. Within 20 minutes the leaves should be lifting back up and looking happy again 😀
Liquidambar Girl Gardening she was thirsty the leaves were very droopy but the leaves didn’t go up all the way I noticed they went up about 15% up I’ve also notice little flys around it and the leaves are continuing to brown . Not sure what els to do. She is also growing new leaves too. I’ll put it in my room where it’s very dark and see if she improves until spring.
@@oa1986 hmmmm. Sometimes the leaves can take a day or so to return to their full spread and height. If they still haven't, maybe a brighter spot in your home? Peace lilies love bright light, just not hot sun on their leaves. I'm also thinking that you may have some fungus gnats from your description. They aren't hard to manage, but let's try to get your plant feeling better before trying to deal with treating fungus gnats. The gnats are annoying and their larvae can cause damage, but in most cases they don't cause too much damage to plants. Keep in touch! Sending you happy plant vibes!

Hi Sonia! Brown tips on leaves can happen to these lilies when they are placed in a drafty place in your home. Even a draft that we humans don't notice can be enough to cause drying of leaf tips. All I do is just snip off the brown edges with some scissors and the plant looks happy and healthy again. The yellowing of leaves is different however. Yellowing leaves on your peace lily means that it is unhappy. Unfortunately it could be several different things, but let's start with the most common which is overwatering. Why dont you center the plant in the new pot? the plant loves moisture. spray leafy on both sides every day
In Guatemala we have a plant kin of peace lilies but much bigger , but we eat them . Last month I was that plant at HDpot .

I use Miracle Gro Indoor Plant Food once every two weeks in the Spring and Summer.
