I purchased 2 peace lilies off of Amazon and put them in a grow room with a grow lamp. They like lots of bright light and they grow like weeds they end up so bushy that you have to keep on breaking them up to separate them you end up with so many you do not know what to do with them! If you like you can grow them directly in water with no dirt. Although if you grow them in just water they are a brighter colour they lose the green colour they do not look as nice. I started off with just two plants and now they are everywhere. Take my word for it they like hot warm room with lots of light and they love having their leaves sprayed with water. I regret getting them really they grow like weeds you end up with them everywhere! Oh! when the leaves start drooping that is when you water them they tell you by showing you that they need watering by drooping.
Just got me a Spath today an it's B E A U T I F U L.. I pray I can take good care of it by watering only when top soil 1" is dry or start to drop .. I do have it in indirect sunlight.. It's already brought joy to my day.. also I grabbed a Dieffenbachia.. beautiful and full as well! Good to be able to watch these videos for helpful guides/info
Ive got a peace lily from my mom that was wilted and not established in the pot i had to replant it in a smaller pot, which i did, but it never started recovering within a week even, so i moved it to a glass of water with nothing but water in it. Its water that has sat out to get the chlorine and such out. It is actually standing back up now (yay!!) But the leaves are yellowing. They had brown tips at first now almost every leaf has them and the yellowing is severe. You think it is just shocked and i should leave in water for a while and see, should i add anh nutrients to the water, or just pot it up and see. Pls help!
My cats decimated my flowers on the peace lily when I first got it.(disclaimer: I had no idea at the time that the plant was toxic to cats) Cats are still alive but avoid my plants now. I guess they didn't feel great after messing with it. 🤷♀️

I make sure one of the 3 arms are a foot away aiming at it, below my 4 of 60 Watt led lights from my bathroom lighting fixture on 24 hrs a day, 3 feet away. I clamped my growing lamp onto the bathroom vanity. This I do during the winter when not enough light coming in my windows. I noticed since adding the grow lamp with more led wattage it has flower to 7 flowers now total and one is turning green of the 7 to die off. I also keep it in the same room until spring. The bathroom temperature is always 73.2-73.6 I water it 2x a week, mist it 2x a week, feed it nothing until spring.

But I still just get growth from the one sprout but it seems to be long and skinny and the leaves are skinny not as wide as it was in the beginning how do I get these plants to fill out it just seems to want to grow tall skinny leaves. What is the best fertilizer for this plant. When I divided it from its plastic container I put them in ceramic containers I don’t know that’s the problem. I just don’t want to lose Any of them because as I passed by him every day I think of my daughter. So any help would be greatly appreciated I am never had a green thumb.
Do you know what causes the blossoms to have dry crispy edges before they even open up?? I moved my plant to a lower light part of the room because the earlier blossoms turned green. I learned that was due to too much light...so now I have a few new blossoms growing but they have dried crispy edges...any ideas...I enjoyed the video on this beautiful plant
I just bought one today. It is nice and full. The soil still feels damp but the flowers are still white and drooping halfway. I gently pulled it out of the pot and see a swirl of roots halfway up the pot. Some fine roots are showing at the top of the soil. The leaves aren't drooping. Do you think the flowers are drooping because it needs to be repotted?

The amount of light can affect flowering, bright indirect light is best if possible. When you buy plants they always look great because they come from controlled conditions and have been feed numerous fertilizers. It can be hard to recreate this in a home environment. When you use fertilizer try one higher in Potassium as this promotes flowering and I find alternating from a slow release to liquid fertilizer can be beneficial. Happy house planting 🌿🌻.

Amy - Yes, the light needs to be bright for them to flower. I feed mine with a bit of compost & worm compost in the spring (easy does it). I also feed it with Eleanor's vf-11 2 or 3 times in spring & summer. Nell

Lots of light? As in direct light? Or just bright indirect light? I have two smaller peace lilies in direct light after 2-3PM in the summer.

They are pretty sensitive to chemical fertilizer so try to find something very diluted or natural.
