You are a very brave and selfless young woman ... thank you so much for explaining what it’s really like having Radiology.... I’m about to start ... and couldn’t find a site that anyone showed me the side effects... so I was anxiously imagining all sorts of things ! I had read and watched the process from a text book type of experience ... but you gave such an honest and personal explanation of your experience... I’m so grateful... it’s so much easier when you know what you have to face ... thank you so much ... I live in New Zealand, and think it’s wonderful that a little Irish girl on the other side of the world has been prepared to share information that is really personal and emotional going thru it all .... blessings for you and your family!
@@DeeDoherty So glad you saw my message ... I hope you are doing great now... I will not ever forget how you helped me ... I wish I could send you some NZ sunshine !!!!
You have been so helpful. I'm a 74 year old woman that has finished my 3rd taxol/herceptrin treatment with 9 more to go. I really can't imagine the strength you have had to go through this with your young family. Take care of ypurself.
Mary Aldridge thank you Mary! Well, I got a lot of help from my family during chemo ... and friends too. And radiation isn’t anything like chemo - so it’s the help and strength of others really!! I hope that chemo is being kind to you...and you are minding yourself ❤️x
Keep strong brave and keep the faith I’m praying for you and your family, my wife is two years cancer free, your videos will help other women keep up the good work making the videos, God Bless you N your family.
Just about to start radiotherapy on a cancer site on my rib cage, so glad I have your videos to watch first. Thank-you so much for finding the strength and time to post for us. All the best Dee xx
Thank you for putting your journey out there. I was diagnosed 1 week ago today and your videos have been a blessing to me. Your personality and humor helps make this less scary. You are a beautiful, fierce warrior! It's inspiring💗
Randi Zupp oh Randi x thank you..... and I’m so sorry this has happened love! So sorry ... but you know now, that this is NOT the worst thing that could happen, having seen these videos x and I’m glad you can see that! I’m always here ❤️
Thank you so much Dee ❤️ Your videos have helped me a lot ❤️ I don't remember how I came across your channel, but it was in June this year that I first started watching your videos. On August 8th, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. It's been a rollercoaster ride ever since and your videos have been a go to for me and my husband. Thanks a lot 😘❤️. You are such an inspiration to me 🤟
Dee Doherty As of now, I am waiting for my treatment to start. I still have one more MRI guided biopsy to get through before my surgery on the 27th of September. I hate waiting especially now that I know that its in me. My care team keeps on telling me that cancer doesn't grown overnight and even though TNBC is aggressive and is of grade 3, I still have time. But if it doesn't grow overnight, how did I go from no lump in April to a 2.6cm lump in July? What I hate is the fact that they keep doing all this imaging and I still have no confirmation about my stage :( and the fact that I am 32 and my breasts are dense doesn't help with imaging. 3D Mammograms are useless for me, ultrasound is not too sensitive, MRI is too sensitive. Jees I am on crazy mode like all the time but watching your videos do calm me down
Archana Thakur it is so difficult... I know what you are feeling now is so scary. As time goes on, I promise - it will get easier. This is the hardest time that you are in... if a plan is in place, it is what it is and you can’t make it happen any sooner. In the meantime - do lots of fun things to distract yourself! Go out for dinner and drinks, spring clean ... so you can chill in your bed for the next few months ❤️❤️ Everything is going to be ok!!
So great to see you again beautiful! I'm glad radiotherapy is going good and so very glad it's not been painful aside from the muscle pain. As always you are such an inspiration for so so many! Your an amazing person! Our thoughts and love are always with you beautiful!!
I appreciate all you explained to us and I am so glad that you finally got attention from the medical people. I was so incensed by the way you were treated as if no one young gets sick. Thank you and I look forward to seeing your next volg.
New sub. You're absolutely gorgeous!! I appreciate that you're quite informative about your treatment and how you're coping with everything. The woman who did your ultrasound is correct, you're very brave. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I think the information you are sharing is incredibly valuable to anyone who is going through similar things or might experience this in the future. Sending lots of love and positivity to you on your journey.💖
Nice to hear from you again Dee. Holy I get to look forward to that in December. Oh yeah me! Tomorrow I get round three of chemo eeeeewwwww but that means only three more to go! I hope your radiotherapy gets easier on you. Hugs
You are looking fantastic Dee! Great info, as always. By the way, I have to do the breath hold for the right side to move my liver out of the way. I start my radiation today.
Dee … l am 🙏 you are still cancer free … 3 years later. Monday l will have 4/12 Chemo treatments. My TNBC is in my left breast, below my collarbone & l’ve a 7mm nodule in my upper left lung. I’ve emphysema to boot. 🤨 l had my head shaved after cutting 24” of my hair. 😔 l am only beginning this journey & l am so grateful for your vids. Hope the kids are well too. They’ve an awesome Mum! 🥰💕🙏💪✊👊👍
@@indimist390 I have exhausted all breast, cancer chemos, and I’m currently trying lung and testicular cancer chemos. The surgeon did not get all the cancer with the left breast mastectomy, September 9, 2022. 🙏
@@indimist390 l have a cancer that is less than 1% of ALL cancer. My tumors grew on Chemo, slight shrinkage with Taxol/Carboplatin (sp?) … They grew on ALL other breast cancer chemos. No more left. This is why l am trying lung & testicular cancers’ chemo regime.
I love your video. Thank you to keep us on track. I will start the radiotherapy in a few days and I asked to do the breath thing because one of my tumors was on my chest wall, very, very closed to the heart. Do you get radiation on your lymph nodes?
caroline7853 thank you. Yes I get radiation on the clavicle nodes. The nodes under my arm are gone because they were removed in surgery but I also get radiation there.
In my situation, they made a cast of my upper body; next time I was ask to laid down in that pisition, that took longer that the treatment itself. I leave there with all kind of physical pain, by the time I get home I am very tire.
Dee.....you speak truth and inspiration! Love when your Irish inflections are purposely pronounced! I have that ol' American accent...... Though on my Mama's side I am told we have some Irish...is it a clue to having a bit of Ireland in you when most the women in said family are small and Fiesty?? Haha! I had SRT for brain tumor (after surgery couldn't get it all).. You describe the treatment well...I only had to have my head in the same place and was put in a net like plastic mask. Didn't hurt but made me quite tired. God Bless you and yours 😁Ann
