Super clean build dude. 6th gen accords are great looking cars when they're nice and cleaned up like yours. I have a 6th gen coupe, planning on doing the opposite of what you did and focusing on performance first, looks second lol. Turbo G23 is the goal.
That is awesome! I wanted to do FI for a while too but this and my TL has been my "daily". I've had too many issues with supercharging my G35 so I'm on a break on that for now. What engine management are you planning on doing? OBD1 swap with a chipped ECU, standalone or piggyback? That will be a cool build.
@@statuskuogarage7462 I'm planning on going with a chipped P28 (OBD1) ECU. I'm sure there are other ways to make it work but I've seen a lot of people run that with no problems. And thanks! G23 builds are sick, you can make just as much power as a k series with the right setup, only cheaper (there's just some extra work involved). I just gotta save up for the build now lol.
I'm with you on that! I'm stuck on the early to mid 2000 vehicles lol. New stuff just has too many electronics and not as easy to mod and make your own..

Nice to see a clean sedan on RUclips. I have a 2000 Silver Ingot sedan. Been looking for inspiration for when I start to stack parts and manual swap. Nice dude!
Thanks for watching! Nice and good luck on your project. Took me several years of tweaking to get to this level, it was supposed to be a beater until I saw what potential this car had. Wow man just stumbled across this video super clean looking sedan bro love the fact all the simple mods are tasteful and not over the top ricer style! Love the car! 👍🏼
The two things I was contemplating on doing you did, I was thinking of throwing red badges on(but idk which to get, and didn’t know if it would look good)… and swapping out the seats, but seeing how you threw in those recaros that look like stock S14 seats just really makes it look and feel like it’s an imported car! Rad accord, well done 🙌👏👏👏
Thanks for watching! those Recaros are a game changer. The handling has always been great after the suspension upgrades (F/R sways, Neuspeed and TL strut bar and coilovers) but the seat lacked any support whatsoever so having these seats made a big difference. I was the same with the emblems since this car was never a Type-R release in the states and it isn't a type R but I did it for the aesthetics and really liked how it came out.
Looks Pretty Nice DUDE. I was trying to find a manual transmission Honda Accord but they are HARD TO FIND. I LIKE SHIFTING GEARS even though I'm 69 yesrs old, I've driven manual transmission for a LONG TIME. First car was a '59 BUG, NO AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS back then. I had a '64 MGB, 2-'74 Fiat X1/9's, '85 VW Cabriolet had it the longest (16 years-same clutch), '97 VW Cabrio. I LOVE MY CONVERTIBLES.😉😁
Thank you! Yes they are and with cars getting rid of manual transmissions, I feel like it's even harder now. I've owned this car for over 9 years now. Good to hear another person sticking with manual! #SaveTheManuals

You said that steering wheel is from an mdx? Do you know what year fits and also, did you re-use the original airbag from the accord and it fits the mdx’s steering? Thanks so much
Love the build. Was wondering which frontier did the self dimming mirror come out from? I have an 02 Accord and I’m looking for a self dimming mirror that is actually compatible with my mount. Also did you say it gives you temperature as well? How did you manage that? I thought in order to receive a temperature reading you had to have interior and exterior temperature sensors and I don’t believe the 98-02 accords have those sensors. Or do they?
Hey thanks for watching! I believe it came from a 2011 but they should all be the same since Nissan uses Gentex mirrors which are found in a lot of other cars. Gentex mirrors use the generic wedge-style mounts which aren't found in the 02 Accord. In order for it to fit in the Accord, you'd have to get a cam-lock to wedge-mount adapter for it to fit and I've found that the Subaru one works the best after messing with a few brands. Here is the part number if you need it - Subaru H501SSA041. For the temperature, you'd need to grab it from the vehicle you're going to get the mirror from. Its usually just two wires and in the front bumper area.
Hey friend, do you still have it? Do you have more videos of how you equipped it, painted it, engine accessories, everything? You only uploaded very few videos 🙁
Thanks! I agree, at first I didn't really like it but it came out really nice especially since this body style wasn't release in Japan so aftermarket support was a challenge.
Thank you! I love the car, great seeing someone else with the manual transmission. These cars are getting harder and harder to find, especially in decent condition.
if you can do a video showing how to install the Euro r seats from the Accord into a US spec car 2002 Honda Accord that would be great like I said in my last statement I have plans I'm buying dying the tire seat package next week so I need to know how do you do it it looks really good in that car I'm not going to lie it looks sick actually the whole build looks sick
This build inspires me man. Btw do you have coilivers. Is the car lowered at all? If its lowered, how much is it lowered? I wanna have mine looking around the same .
Thanks for watching man! yes I do, it is lowered by 2.25 inches in the front and 2 inches in the rear. My fenders in the rear are rolled and the front aren't. Good luck with your build!
Love the car man I have a 2000 cg5 myself. Are you able to provide a link or something to where you got the jtc short shifter? I've been looking for a short shifter for my accord forever but it seems literally everyone that made them has stopped and the only one I can find is a racing one for like $400.
I really love what you did to your accord. I am inspired by it. Can you put the links on where you got the parts in description? Also did you powder coat the valve red or is it painted? It pops under the hood. What budget engine mods would you recommend for the automatic 2.3 accord counterpart? Thanks
Thank you! sorry this was over a course of many years so I don't really have a list of things that I put in with links. The valve cover used to be silver and I painted it with VHT wrinkle red. Make sure you prep it really well if you plan on doing it. I felt like the intake and header gave me the most power but it is by butt dyno since I never really got it dyno'd. Exhaust is tricky because I actually lost low end power when I had my Magnaflow. The Apexi WS2 exhaust has been great.

It was some ebay thing I found a while back but there wasn't a particular name for it. I did a quick search and can't find it anymore. Some people use the Scion tC lip spoiler too if you want something similar.
Man I always loved the CG5 accord thought I was alone. I just hate there's not much you can do for power on the F23 engine. The V6 has options but the 4cyl there's a super charger kit and turbo kit but both are alot of money for maybe 235ish hsp. I definitely want this body with a engine swap I just don't know what engine yet has to be as close to plug and play as possible.
I agree! If I were to do an engine swap on mine, I'd go for a H22 with a Prelude OBD2 ECU so that it can still pass inspection. If your area doesn't care about things like that or you have a hookup, you should be able to go with a chipped P28 I believe which is way cheaper. I've seen some K-swapped ones on the forums but definitely need a bit more work than the H22.
@@statuskuogarage7462 do you loose the torque with H22 swap that's the only real benefit of the F23 is it has the torque needed for a "big" 4 door sedan. You get more horsepower from other engines but typically loose in torque. My budget is around 8k I'm willing to put in this car I don't plan on selling so idc about loss in resale value.plus the entire car only ran me 1300 It will be a dailyish I have other cars for like long trips. So I do need it to be emission friendly but I do have a *cough cough* plug to where all my projects are emission legal as far as they know.
Thanks! It's hard to say since I had it fixed as panels were starting to fade within my 10 years of ownership. Usually the rule of thumb is 300 to 500 a panel for good paint. It depends on the quality of the job, quality of materials and how much labor is involved. I disassemble my car so that I can save on the labor.
Thanks! Great idea, I was actually thinking of making a video someday with the exhaust tones. Stay tuned.... might be a while since I've been super busy.
Thanks! The oil catch can is just a generic one from Amazon that I made a bracket for. It connects to the PCV valve and the can is usually half full in 2000 miles. The internals on this can is identical to the Mishimoto one I bought for my G35. amzn.to/3rTCyHn
Hey thanks for watching! Well I got it on eBay a few years back (probably 10) and ended up swapping out the trunk/taillights for it. I’ve been trying to find another as a spare but couldn’t anymore 😕
Wow! I have a 6th gen Honda accord sedan. I purchased it lasted year for 400$. Put about 2000 into repairs. It only has 125000 miles on it. I know nothing about cars past how to drive one lol. But I've been interested in doing something similar to my sedan. How much did this entire process cost? I could easily get another 10 years out of my sedan hence why customization is an interest. Any advice on where to start would be greatly appreciated.
Great price! To me it is definitely worth the repairs and modifications to make it your own but everyone has a different view point on what is worth it or not to themselves. I think cars in this era is way more reliable than any of the electronically complex vehicles but they are just not as quick or efficient. The pricing will range whether you end up doing the work yourself or not but be prepared to spend thousands if you want to go down this path of modding. The good thing is you can always do it one step at a time, for me it took over 10 years to get to this point. I do not have a accurate number but keep in mind that I did everything myself with the exception of tint and paint and labor will sometimes double the cost of a mod. If I had to do it again and start somewhere, I think suspension was the biggest change for me. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
The front clip would be awesome from the euro r! I saw a picture a while ago where someone mended the CL1 front bumper with the CG6 and it looks awesome but I don't think any of those parts would be a direct fit.
They do have aftermarket seat brackets for the accord sedan I have a pair, you have of custom make it and I had them made from a company I forgot the name but I’m sure it’s easy to find
Thanks for the tip, this should help some others! I was only able to find the ones for the coupe and read up they didn't fit so I decided to just make my OEM ones fit. It turned out good since I was able to still use the bolt covers but the only downside is that it seems like it's sitting higher. I did a quick search and found that Corbeau makes some now.
Thanks for watching! I would love to but unfortunately most of these parts of discontinued since this build was over the course of 10 years of adding and removing parts :(
man i need help with my 2001 accord ex , car jerk hard when put in reverse or drive or when shiting out of gear 2 or into gear 2, please tell me what to do, but when it on gear 3 and 4 everything is really good
Can you still buy the JTC short shifter? their website looks very sketchy and has no reviews. I'm very interested in any info you could provide since I've looked everywhere for a short throw shifter and this seems to be the only real one.
Hmm not sure. I just checked the website and it seems like they didn't maintain their website certificate so I am not sure if I'd trust them. I did buy directly from them but this was probably 2013. It was definitely worth the purchase. www.jtccustoms.com/products/JTC%20Customs%20Honda%20Accord%2098-02%20Short%20Shifter

with the seats from the Honda Accord EuroR how did you make those fit please get back to me as soon as possible with a response cuz I have plans or purchasing those seats next week with the entire back seat combo I have a 2002 Honda Accord four-door sedan that I'm looking to do in the same material but I might do it type r Civic theme where it's white on the exterior and like a black kind of green to match the seats and the interior
What was that wing called? Also, sick build man. Love the idea for the door lock switches
It was some ebay thing I found a while back but there wasn't a particular name for it. I did a quick search and can't find it anymore. Some people use the Scion tC lip spoiler too if you want something similar.
Clean accord I have the 2006 accord but honestly this body looks better in my opinion .
That looks clean bro 🔥, I have one, it’s stock and I want to start nodding it.
Thanks! good luck with your build!
i've been looking for a body kit for a while where did you get yours
It's the Kaminari kit with a generic "Type R" style front lip.
Real nice build I got a 99 cg6 planing on making it look nicer and go a little bit faster, fun car.
Thank you! Good luck with your build!
Where did you get the oem red Honda emblem on front grill?
Were the element door switches plug n play aside from them lighting up? Or what was the process
@@statuskuogarage7462 I'm looking at 350-400 hsp just enough to have modern power but not feel like a drag or race car
What up. What’s the front lip, side skirts, and rear you rocking? You made me wanna bring my accord back to life
Front is ebay and the side and rear is Kaminari
Modify the gear lever, it looks very good, I'm interested in knowing where you got it and the steering wheel, please, if possible
The short shifter is from JTC Customs and the steering wheel is a 01 MDX steering wheel that I restitched to red.
Very clean build and beauty, can I ask, how much does its cost your paint job?
What car is that Mishimoto radiator meant for? All-aluminum radiators for the CG with the F23 are few and far between.
It's for the previous generation 94 to 97 Accord. The only difference is that it is a bit shorter so you'd need some special drop down mounts
@@statuskuogarage7462 I realize this is an older vid but damn I need to find those radiator hold downs.. where did you get those?!
Getting a V6 EX soon. How'd you get that Frontier mirror to work? I can't find any writeups anywhere
Was hoping for a exhaust sound or a start up at the end nice build I had the coupe 2000 manual as well first manual car
Thanks! Great idea, I was actually thinking of making a video someday with the exhaust tones. Stay tuned.... might be a while since I've been super busy.
That thing is NICE!
Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching!
Hey wat the part number for the oil catch can? Love ur build looks great.
Thanks!
The oil catch can is just a generic one from Amazon that I made a bracket for. It connects to the PCV valve and the can is usually half full in 2000 miles. The internals on this can is identical to the Mishimoto one I bought for my G35.

@@statuskuogarage7462 ok thanks u lots. I will look for 1 in Amazon.
I’m trying to get a nice back trunk since I live in the Midwest have some rust spots I have a 00 accord 5 speed manual
Plenty in the pick a part here in the south. I can't imagine having to deal with rust, good luck with your build!
Where did you get your dashboard and steering wheel from? I definitely need that
Clean bro! Do you really not know where you bought the spoiler? Looks really clean and I want one like that as well
Hey thanks for watching! Well I got it on eBay a few years back (probably 10) and ended up swapping out the trunk/taillights for it. I’ve been trying to find another as a spare but couldn’t anymore 😕
Do you know any shops that can install power locks to a car that has manual locks?
너무 멋지네요! 저도 2002 Honda Accord 가지고 있는데 멋지게 만들고 싶네요.
Good luck with your build!
Nice CG bro, let me ask, did you make de wheel radio controls works with aftermarket radio ? I have a CG EX-R in Brazil
Thanks man! Yeah it works. I actually added them since mine didn't have it. I'm using a PAC Audio SWI-RC and it works great.
@@statuskuogarage7462 Nice, i Will Look for some compatible interface in Brazil, if i not Found ill Try to bring one off these. Thankyou for answer.
Looks great bro just got a 2002
Thanks man! Good luck with your build! It's a great car.
I really wanna put the euro r fenders but not sure if they would fit they see. To be the same size . That and the seats would be dope
The front clip would be awesome from the euro r! I saw a picture a while ago where someone mended the CL1 front bumper with the CG6 and it looks awesome but I don't think any of those parts would be a direct fit.
@@statuskuogarage7462 yea I don’t mind doing a little work to make it fit (cut bend roll) I just don’t have the tools to weld anything 🤣
Cleanest accord I ever seen!!!
Just love it.
Thanks for watching!
Great build. Nice video. Where did you get the headlights from?
Thanks, I built them from some OEM headlights with Morimoto and Diode Dynamics internals. ruclips.net/video/t6DDC6UeIw4/видео.html
please can you do a video that explains where you get everywhere from and the names, I wanna build this exact build, I have the same car.
Thanks for watching! I would love to but unfortunately most of these parts of discontinued since this build was over the course of 10 years of adding and removing parts :(
front spoiler lip? where did you get it from
Just an eBay lip. I think they call it the "Type R" style. It didn't fit good so I had to trim it a bit and added the OEM seal.
Will 2001 trunk fit 1995 coupe? 2001 looks cool asf
Definitely not a drop in since it's different body styles.
Clean oem build bro
Thanks man!
Gorgeous car👍🏻
Beautiful !!!
Thank you!
we're did you get the emblem for the front grill and trunk
would you be able to make a video of you driving the accord please?
Yes, it is definitely on the list of videos. Thanks for watching!
man i need help with my 2001 accord ex , car jerk hard when put in reverse or drive or when shiting out of gear 2 or into gear 2, please tell me what to do, but when it on gear 3 and 4 everything is really good
Honda dude, can you recommend a good engine rebuild kit for my 2002 Honda Accord V6 3.0l ? I want to put NOS and eventually boosted
Plz advise
Do you have the name of the paint or the paint code for your car man?? I want to paint mine and really love this color
Thanks! It is just the stock color from Honda. Its Satin Silver Metallic (NH623M), good luck with your build!
Do you have a short shifter on your accord? I can’t find one and I was thinking of running a prelude shifter.
Yeah I do, I have the JTC customs one.

@@statuskuogarage7462 Thanks for the reply I sent them a email so if they respond I'll get a short shifter. And your link was the only way I have been able to view the website so thanks for that too!
