      Honda's are actually pretty affordable to build. You can get these engines and transmissions for under $2,000 with low mileage. Aftermarket suspension and engine parts are a 1/4 of what many other car brands cost and they are very popular which makes prices lower. He went all out but I price his build under $15,000. You may think "WTF that is too much money!" but another car would easily double that and buying a car brand new in that range will set you back $35,000+ in the long run.

      @@5C2WMediaI wonder if the engine bay is the same for both the 3.0L and the 2.3L. My 9th gen Accord coupe is the same for both the 2.4L and 3.5L, so I’m assuming so…. Most of it just needs a whole donor car to swap over most of the major parts, like motor mounts, engine harness, ECU, other cables and sensors, electronics, etc.
      The cutouts in the chassis for the 6th gen, I believe, are even the same between the 4AT and 5MT (2.4L) models as well.

      @@isnowyazn I'm not 100% sure of all the differences, but I do know the following;
      1. On the V6, the battery is located on the driver side rather than the passenger side. The intake is located here too.
      2. The I4 and V6 subframes are not interchangable, so if you want to do a V6 swap in an I4 you need to get the V6 subframe

As i live in Cali we need to smog of course but it's throwing a P0560 code which is system voltage malfunction. Had the swap done back in 2014 of March, fully street legal to be smog compliance which was a pain but got it certified. But now 2020 comes and yeah code came out. I cannot figure out the issue. Swapped out Alternator, Battery, Starter and code still there. I miss driving her so bad 0 issues mechanically.

    • @andrewshankle
      @andrewshankle  2 года назад +1

      I'm sure others may have opinions, but my experience has been these engines have zero issues with 8-10psi on stock internals. After that timing is not really enough, higher octane with a meth kit does the trick up to 15psi easy. This was all I used on the stock J30 and the J32a2.

      There are many things I did to this car, when I sold it I supplied a binder with all the details of what was done. What part were you thinking of doing

    Beautiful car, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Tl type s use a 3.5l v6 vtec? The regular Tl's had the 3.2l v6 vtec

      3rd gen type S used the 3.5.
      4th gen SH used a 3.7

    Haha can totally totally tell he's a mountie. If I was gonna build a car like this I would just make my type S OEM again then super charge it but I guess you went the other route lol custom everything.
    I like the hydrodipped peices in the front and nice touch with the seats. But should have painted it white diamond pearl. OEM Acura color, would have looked alot better

    My mom has an auto 2k accord V6 EX, has the 3.0 J series with vtec, but it has a destroyed auto trans, and I want to manual swap it for her.
