Bernard "Barney" Murray, Navan Co. Meath

My Great Grandfather Barney Murray was born 22 May 1903 Athlumney Navan, seventh child of ten. His parents were Richard Murray & Mary Clarke. He worked as a signwriter/painter. He married Christina Carty on 16 April 1928. They had 6 children one of which their daughter Mary "May" was my Grandmother.
When I was born I wad told he paraded me around Navan showing off his Great Grand daughter. I have just a few memories of him as I was just 12yrs old when he passed away.
Barneys daughter Joan Clarke USA (my Grandmother's sister) kindly had this short piece recorded of Barney digitised for me. Tracy Biggins, Joan's niece took the tape and digitised the piece. Tracy did a great job. It was filmed in 1984 in RTÉ during the Live at 3 show with Derek Davis the host chatting to Barney.
So blessed to have this footage of him.
