I have the F30. I agree with you, you have to cinch it down tight to stop the leaks. I use it for travel with the Transcend Micro using the Transcend humidifier which I plug in between the mask and tubing. Works greats for travel but I use the F30i for home use. Thanks for the reviews. Big fan!
Thanks for the video and comparison! I use the F30 and think it's one of the better masks I've tried, even with me agreeing with everything negative you said about it. First, it's super quiet when it's not leaking. I've tried the top connection masks and the noise rushing past your ears is loud. The N20 mask has a great amount of pressure coming out of it making it loud as well. I can't use traditional full face masks because for some reason (I'm guessing the shape of my face/nose I develop a leak that shoots into my eyes. One other negative that wasn't mentioned is because you put it on tight I find the straps stretch and after a 3 month use they definitely need to be replaced. Funny thing is I thought because I use a high pressure was the reason for it needing to be as tight as it is. Some things I've done to make using the F30 better is keeping the side of the mask that my head faces (side sleeping) a little loser then the other side. Since the opening is a little small and my mouth usually opens, I've taken to using a strip of KT type tape to keep my chin in place. One last thing is I hate having strap marks on my face because it's so tight and I put an ankle sock between the straps and my face ... I bought those velcro strap cushions and they didn't work at all. I am actually thinking about trying the F40 if my DME has it available next time I order a mask. I really liked the frame on the F20 and the F40 seems to be similar. If the F40 is softer and better conforming it should be an improvement. Since the F40 is quiet it could be the next level mask for me.
Agree with you that the masks with tubes along the side of your head suck, not only can you hear the wind rush, but in winter the air is cooled after coming out of a heated tube.
Still the best mask on the market! Exhalation port is so far advanced to anything else, and as long as you don’t overtighten the leak rate is really good
Appreciate this video it's my first time using CPAP only 30 days in and have struggled this is the third mask I try I really hope it suits me. I struggle with claustrophobia and I'm a mouth breather lol anyway thank you for the video
Have used the f20 and f30 and they leaked too much. Then switched to the f+p Vitera and had pretty good luck with it but switched to the f+p evora and had no leaks to mention BUT for a side sleeper it exhausts on both sides and kept me up. Just switched to the f40 and it doesn't leak at all and the exhaust is the quietest mask I've ever used. I'm sold on the f40.
thank you mate. I have used CPAP for 28 years now, the last 15 or so with nasal/pillows masks but when I have a cold and blocked nose it's an issue. I want to buy a full face mask as backup so I can still sleep (breathing through my mouth of course) and your endorsement lets me feel the F40 would work. I'll just have to get used to mouth and nose breathing with it. Wish me luck!
I am having trouble with the new Quiet elbow leaking air pot the two holes near the swivel with daily cleaning. I replace the Quiet elbow with another new Quiet elbow and get another two weeks before it starts leaking as well.
Currently using the f30 because the f20 rubs the bridge of my nose raw. Big drawback with the f30 is the leakage. My cpap supply company will be shipping the f40 as soon as they get it in stock, but it's been over 3 weeks now of waiting. I've gone back and forth between the f20 and f30 for 6 years now and neither has worked well for me. I'm looking forward with great hope that I'll finally get something that works with the f40.
I hate this mask but my insurance covers it atm. The full mask bruised my nose so i chose the smaller one and they didnt have the newer one at the time.
Can’t believe it. I bought the new airfit f40 and the magnets don’t stay put. The magnets are weak, compared to other magnets. I really wanted to like this mask, but every morning I wake up in the magnets have fallen off.
I find the head gear was poorly designed. you can not get the mask tight enough and you run out of room in order to tighten the mask further. then you have the machine makers installing an alarm that wakes you because of their poor workmanship.
The mask is disgusting, hard. The nose is constantly blocked by the mask plate. And the hose, that's just awful!!! It's only good for a washing machine or dishwasher.
Thank you for taking the time to educate me add to make the right decision.
I wish you all the best
Affirmative.

does yours hurt your mustache area?

What about f30i? Are there less leaks?
What size are you using for F40

I can't attach the cushion to the mask. What's the secret?

Fisher and paykel evora full face no leek’s for side sleeper I have 4 resmed masks can’t use any of them
F40 with memory foam would be great
Great idea there.
F40 is cheap junk compared to f30

too much leak with the f30. I am going to try the f40.

That's interesting. I wonder what feedback stats on the magnets are on other sites/videos?
@@sharon94503 I have no idea, but the magnets are definitely weaker than the magnets of other Resmed hybrid masks. It’s disappointing.
Have you tried the mask less tightly cinched?
I hate the f30, I feel like it leaks easier, the nose part is annoying and makes so much noise. I went back to the f20 and called it a day.
hate the F30, it leaks crazy and I can't sleep with it.

F30 is horrible.
