Thank you so much for your great reviews, especially this one. In its specification this can be considered the greatest watch Oris has made to date. I have tried on Omega, Breitling, Tudor and Longines dive watches and I believe this to be the most complete package in its price range. To illustrate, Breitling only offer a 4 year warranty with their Superocean III (currently £4250 in UK). What sealed the deal for me was the environmental work Oris do alongside their watchmaking. Yes the plastic dials are not to everyone's taste but the clean up projects are great. Considering all this, the Aquis is all the watch you'll ever need, with brand kudos to boot. Bravo to Oris 👏👏👏
Brilliant review, John, thanks for showing how to properly change the time setting. This is truly one of the best divers ever made, technically outstanding and truly beautiful in appearance. Thanks for sharing. Regards
Thank you for watching Mario. Glad you enjoyed it. The time setting does take some getting used to; however once one gets used to going past the minute mark and back again it isn't an inconvenience. Regards, #WR4K
Thank you..... That may make it easier to size correctly for my 7.25 wrist than say the BB58, which only has the 3 micro adjusts which i struggle with 👍🏻
Thank you for watching Mike. Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, mirror polished links do show scratches more than brushed satin finish. However minor scratches are easy to removing using Cape Cod polishing cloths. Regards, #WR4K
Thank you for watching Ivan. The Calibre 400 takes 100 manual winds to fully wind it to its maximum 120 hour power reserve. Typically an automatic movement takes 40 manual winds to wind to a 40 hour maximum. In reality the automatic winding from the rotor would suffice in winding the Calibre 400 daily, so one wouldn't need to manually wind it. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards, #WR4K
The only problem with the jumping minute hand is that it also jumps when the crown gets pulled out. So if you're in the habit of simply hacking the movement to synchronize the time which has drifted fast over the past few weeks of wearing, youre out of luck. You will have to realign the minute after you've pulled out the crown.
Thank you for watching Mario. Check out my review of the 43mm version (see link below). If you have a 6-7" wrist I recommend the 41.5mm, if 7-8" I recommend the 43mm. Regards, #WR4K ruclips.net/video/7qisu-77I9o/видео.html
@@mariog7213 In that case I recommend the 41.5m version. It feels better balanced, rather than top heavy. I found the 41.5mm to be more comfortable to wear than the 43mm. Also the bracelet taper is better done. Regards, #WR4K
The „correct method“. Brainwashing at its finest. Very clever and suggestive. Correct what for? To set the time at any watch? Who has ever said that this is the „correct method“ instead of the „normal method“? Its a ghastly rescue „method“ to avoid the annoying malfunction to set the time with this strange Oris watch. Its a fail. Period.
At 7:30 when you showed the 'correct' method for setting the time it still jumped. But you made a mistake, I think. Other vids I've seen when they go backwards to the correct time they stop when they get there - you went back to the correct time but then turned the crown 'forward' again, and that was your mistake I think. When you showed it again the next two times you didn't go forward after going back, and it didn't jump.
Agreed John. The Cherry Red sunburst dial is lovely. I wanted to review it on my channel; unfortunately Oris didn't have one available for review at the time it was released. A Cherry Red bezel insert would have been too much; they made the correct decision making the bezel silver like a Yacht-Master. It contrasts well with the dial. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k Absolutely 100%. It's "Yachtmaster-esqe" and it's perfect. The blue dialed Yachtmaster with the red second hand is one of the most awesome watches I have ever seen.
John I am surprised you did not make this part of your collection. I know you've owned watches that are five times the price of this one. That is why I wondered why you didn't make this part of your collection instead of a lot of the AliExpress watches. Which I love them also by the way. I bought two or three them because of you. Thanks a lot. LOL
I really wonder why you never wanted to show us the side view of the crown side ? Hiding anything? You have show many time the left side but not the right side.
Well everything is flawed. Nothing is perfect. I think the movement is worth it, and if you don’t, it’s perfectly fine, I do think it’s quirk is a definite downside, but I would buy it myself. Especially with a 10 year warranty’s. They still offer the SW versions of you don’t like it

Nice review! I just picked up the 41.5 mm black dial caliber 400 Aquis on bracelet and after watching this video, I cannot wait to get it!

Great review and something I would consider after this review. One question please, does the bracelet have half links? Thanks 👍🏻

Great review as always. However I do still think this is a flawed movement. To fully wind it take a ridiculous amount of winds.

One question does it have ISO 6425 or not and older aquis models too with red rotor does it have ISO 6425 or not because I cant find it anywhere...

I disagree. Taking lash out of the gear train when setting the time on any watch is completely normal.
Similar care is needed when adjusting even caliber from the like of GP, AP, JLC and PP. Feel free to call them failed movements...😂
