  • Hello everyone, it's been a good while since my last video, as always, busy with life hence the lack of uploads.
I managed to use the TX stabilizers for the first time on one of my builds and I had a bit of difficulty installing the stab stoppers provided with the stabs which are the equivalent of toothpick mods for Cherry clip-ins.
I discovered a hack while fiddling with it hence the video! Hope this will be helpful for you in easily installing the stoppers!
00:39 to skip to my demonstration on how to easily install the stab stopper (ps you need a sewing needle or something similar!)

Just a note for people who came across this video. The needle part is not necessary, u can just slot in the stepper into it with hand relatively easily. Not sure why a needle was used here.

I was wondering what the point of this video was when I saw the title. I also just pushed them in barehanded on my Bakeneko65. Does the creator think the needle method will be tighter?

@@DiabloMonk i think the video is for people with huge sausage fingers lol i just use tweezers to hold the stab stopper. i can use my bare hands too

I'm sure that's one of the biggest reasons stabilizers tick, the stab has a slight gap between it and the PCB and this is a cool idea to combat that

Now I'm not nearly as worried about them being clip-in haha. That stabilizer testing station is a good idea. I might need to get one of those.

Oh damn. Guess I won't need to nip off the points of toothpicks anymore haha. Thanks for the video!

omg thanks for the video ! I think I've found the thing I hate the most in keeb mods : putting the shims in clip-in stabs ! Hurts my fingers so much !

Thanks. But the Stoppers are not tight, after installation. With Stab Foams it is better. But I dont use a Needle. And by me the stem scratches in the Housing. But not always.

Nice. Planning to get some TX stabilizers soon. Any ideas on how to remove the stoppers if ever I need to do something with the stabilizers?

I was able to easily remove the stoppers with my fingers from the stabs I installed in this video, if not tweezers should work fine. They're not particularly hard to remove (as they are to install).

how do you remove them in the future when you want to remove the stabs? can you just pull them out with your fingers?

What is the role of these stoppers? Do i need to install them?

Those stoppers are what keeps the stabilizers tightly secured to the pCB.

It’s not very hard to take them out use your hand to pull it out don’t use to much pressure as you don’t want it to fly and lose it

Is this actually how the stoppers are supposed to be installed? Or is this just a cool mod?

no this is not necessary. this just makes it easier if you have big fingers. using tweezers to hold the stopper is another easy method.
