    I am working your way.
    Do not know why so many tutorials teach people to work with the control boxes.
    It takes more time to set all the parameters than to draw this simpler way.

    hi, I did the same as in the video but when I move the control point up the shape transition is not smooth as yours its like straight faces.

    hey idk how I found this tbh I am just trying to make a berm for my project site and you helped me out, before I just used to use cage and draw a cube and then cage edit but this changes everything bro. I just have one problem It is so annoying working in a project that is askew because then my axis is all messed up so when I draw just squares or shift for lines its not actually following my building axis is there a way to change the axis of the project without actually turning my project so its still facing true north?

    Is it possible to add solid points to solid objects? And when I moved a control point, it didn’t create a straight face like in the video. Do you know why?

    Hi,
    I use Rhino for architecture and often work with topographies. I start by building the existing condition from the survey drawing with a rhino surface and then invariably i will need to reshape the surface to accomodate the design. At the moment i laboriously fiddle with control points to try to manipulate it into the new shape I want. I also cut chunks out of it when i need to level it but its very awkward and clumsy and its really hard to get nice smooth transitions for embankments or road profiles.
    Does anyone know different workflow that will allow me to sculpt a surface rather than cutting it and pushing around points? I am sure there is something that can achieve the results im looking for more elegantly.

    Can you alter the curves of a solid, such as a 12mm wooden panel, without altering it dimensions. For instance, if you had to use a specific size panel 1.8x.6m to wrap around a shape? Really stuck on finding a way.

    Hey Phil. great video. I made a surface using Sweep2. I edit a cross section but the surface doesn't update. is there a setting to have a live update or do I have to apply a new Sweep2 every time I tweak something? thanks.

      Hi Artkiko! Rhino is not natively a parametric software, meaning that history is not recorded at all times. You have a few options, 1) you can turn on Record History before you execute the sweep2 command. Now when you modify the original curves, the surface will update. Keep in mind that Record History only works will certain operations, and also be aware that History can be broken. 2) the second option you have is to look into learning Grasshopper, a fully parametric software that interfaces with Rhino. History is always recorded in Grasshopper. Hope that helps, let me know how it goes.
