why everyone is in such a hurry when making this tutorials? literally have to put the video to .25 playback speed to figure it out....
Hello, thanks for the comment. People in general are very impatient and want the video to be fast.
The algorithm doesn't favor very long videos. I actually like it being sped up by default, but that you can still follow along with .25 speed.
3:29 SplitFace
C enter (select curves)
Hi Adam,
Thank you so much for making this model easy but I recommend you show the commands you do at least. I really enjoyed doing it but there are some issues. Thanks
Hi, Thank you. Old videos have no sound.
tHANKS A LOT FOR THIS VIDEO!! VERY HELPFULL TO UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS ;)
Thank you Noemi, I'm glad you liked it.
Amazing
Thank you
It is not clear to me the procedure you adopt with the SplitFace in the section of the video 3:35 / 3: 38, in which you join the 2 curves in the section where there is Twist and after the splits. I select the surface first, then I should select the two resulting polylines, but I can't do this. Is there any keyboard or mouse command? Congratulations on the very interesting video. I look forward to your directions. archLam
Hi my friend. Thank you for comment. You can C+Enter or Select ''Curve'' on command line.
I hope I explained it right.
Could you help me step by step in the step of the frame 3:34, when you use Splitface, you touch the surface ok, after I can't select the 2 curves that have to give me the possibility to split the surface portion.Video very well done, many compliments.
Hi my friend. Thank you for comment. You can C+Enter or Select ''Curve'' on command line.
I hope I explained it right.
Thank you
Could you explain the filletedge part? When I select the whole thing and filletedge, nothing seems to happen
Hello, thanks for the comment. Make sure that each object is solid so you can filletedge it. In other words, when extruding the lines you created with the contour command, make sure that the objects are closed. It also takes about 3 minutes to filletedge because there are so many edges. I sped up that part of the video. Also filletedge are you sure the problem is with the bridge project? Can you create an ordinary box and filletedge it?
Im a little bit confused about "Mergeallcoplanerfaces"! what does it exactly do??? May u enlighten a bit? Tnx for great video by the way... super helpful!!
Thank you.
- Let's do an example on how to make "mergeallcoplanerfaces"? Let's first make a box and copy this box. We will have two boxes. Let's glue the two boxes together. Then let's combine it with Boolean Union. We have only one box, but there is an edge right in the middle that we put together. When we do "mergeallcoplanerfaces", the middle edge will be deleted and we will have a new box of solid surfaces.

- I sent you two images, one has fine lines we call isocurve, the other does not. Ignore the isocurves, they don't matter. Notice how the thick line in the middle disappears.
@@AdamArchh I totally got it... Tnx a lot 👍👍👍👍
YOU JUST SAVED MY LIFE WITH THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! :'V
Great
Super
Whenever I do the contours, and extrudecrv. They don’t match with the edge of the building on the right side. They extrude too far, but I made sure the building size is correct.
Also, when you added the lines at 2:28 what are distances between the duplicated poly lines and distance between the first duplicated poly line to the edge of the building/first poly line?
In regard to the first comment, is the extrudecrv on the contours supposed to to be past the building for that little overhang?
your tutorials are really helpful to us. I watched most of your tuto videos more than 3 times . learnt a lot. thanks for sharing. looking forward to more of your tutorial videos. but mind sharing with us what your unit is in this video ? is it inch ?
Thank you for support. Units: Centimeter
thank you so much for your video, but i cant make a bllend surface like this . i hope u could explain the blend surface
How actually you make Ectrude Crv? It is not so clear for me. How you form the gaps between the contur lines? Thank you in advance!
min 7.50
Hi Viara, When contouring, first enter the direction and then the distance between the lines. When extruding, make sure that the extrude value is less than the distance between the lines.
How to draw it in 3dsmax ? Thank you so much
Hi, Box and twist,
Really a good video and it makes me recall a nice prodution design,a bookshelf.
Thank you
thanks for such a great video can you upload it in a obj formate or fbx please i tried to open the file in fusion 360 but it didn't work
thanks
Hello, what laptop are you using?
Hi Anisa
- Dell G315 Intel Core i7 10750H 32GB 1TB + 256GB
- Don't be fooled by the part where I fillet edge from 9:25. I sped up the video a bit in that part.
@@AdamArchh thank u
The Best
Hi Adam, Nice video and some good techniques here. However, I was curious if the BlendSrf technique creates a true twist? For example, if you start with a rectangle that measures 10x20 on either side, the section through the twisted portion ends up being approximately 7x14 instead of 10x20.
Hi, Yes, If I understood your question correctly it is possible. Use both twist and taper.
Thank you Adam, I have a question regarding if this could also be scripted in grasshopper to have it be parametric regarding the syncing of the twist and any changes to the mass?
I am interested in trying to attempt at scripting it just for educational purposes of learning how to use grasshopper more.
Hello, of course you can easily do this in Grasshopper. First create a domain box of appropriate size. Then use Twist componenet and continue with deconstruct brep.
Hola. Cómo quedaría el recorrido interno?
do you have tutorial how to render sir? ur render is amazing also
This is a real photo, Not a render
thanks for such a great video. learning a lot from it. May I please know how did you select vertices of the surfaces. I understood you have used CTRL+SHIFT to select edges. Similarly is there any keyboard command to select vertices (without having to use POINTSON)
esp at 4:08 ?
Glad it was helpful! You can also select the corners with ctrl + shift. If you have difficulty clicking, hold ctrl shift and select it by drawing a window from left to right.
how did you know the size of the building?
Guessing
Hi, I just had bad surface offset in my Rhino. whenever I do the OffsetSrf command, it make the surface look really bad and with lots of intersected segments of surface. Especially in the twisted region. Do you have any explanation for that?
Hi, Don't make offset surface
teşekkürler
Ben teşekkür ederim
pls try to explain also it will help us a lot
not just music in the background
lets flow along with you
Hi, try watching our new tutorials.
Hey amazing Tuto, how do you make the moving axis when you select an object appear ? I just started and don't have them when I select something
Thank you. Enable the Gumball.
Thank you for your video it’s gonna be useful that i learn rhino xD
Glad to hear that!
Congrats on the videos!! They are SHOW!!!! 👏👏👏👏I have a problem that I can't solve!
When I select a surface to delete and delete the surface, the twisted part is unconfigured, the same happens when I apply the command (extract surface), I already changed the file and redone! the same happens. How do I solve??? Thank you in advance. I wrote this review using Google Translate.
Split face and select curve from command panel.
Hey how did you manage to fillet the edges at 9:16 where you selected all edges, is there any specific Keys that I need to press? Thank you
Thanks I have figured out, Its using Filletedge instead of Fillet. Thanks again for the video!
Hi, thank you, Good luck
Hello Adam,
Nice tutorial! I have a question, when I use blend surface, it curves in the wrong direction, (inwards). How do I flip the direction?
Hi thanks. No orientation issue occurs in the Blend Surface command. Don't you mean Offset Surface?
What I mean is what's happening between 1:30 and 1:33 in the video. I must be doing something wrong because my "twist" twists in the opposite direction. Thanks for quick reply and keep up the good work!
I solved it, had to change the direction to "forward", instead of "both". Don't really understand Rhino yet but thanks to you I'm getting better!
@@mattssonjohan hi wym by forward since im facing same issue
@@mattssonjohan oh thank u for this comment i finally figured it out 2

ya3ni the video is amazing. for some reason though I cant explode the polysurface at 4:37. but I think the problem starts at the splitface command because when I select the polysurface to explode it I have to select the surface and the curves separately. pls help :) tesekkurler
update i dont know what i did but I played around and it worked I think the curves were not connected to one edge of the polysurface
Hello, 4:37 - while splitting the surface, select the curve in the command panel and select the curves one by one and enter, and explode.
hello sir, why cant i select the single line on the box? i only can select the whole plan of the box on either sides. help pls
Hi, Hold Ctrl+Shift
@@AdamArchh thanks!
Hey I love your videos, but I'm having an issue with this one, I'm stuck at min 3:31 because it doesn't appears the SplitFace option, can you help me with it please. Thanks
Thank you. While in command select curve option in command panel
@@AdamArchh thank you, that help me a lot
this tutorial done 😄👍
Thank you
hello, Adam can you please show us how to get the setting you have for this video? for instance, when I follow along and delete the box face surfaces, it does not give me the same line in the box that you have in this video. it's about 1:15 in the video. also, how do you get the viewport at the bottom of the page in rhino.
Thanks. We'll be posting new tutorials on these topics soon.
ctrl+shift, then click or chose the surface。
Could you please send me this one as well😅 i really appreciate it your so kind❤❣
I shared this too
Can i model this in rhino 6 ?
Yes, you can
