@@Quackalope Tbf, I arrived roughly at the "should you keep the gun?" debate. It looked really suspicious at first but then I saw you litteraly lying on one unseen event, which shifted my suspicions on you. Then I purposedly didn't read further unseen events to keep things interesting but still was thinking you were actually a calm, logical potential lier, as opposed to a loud shameless actual innocent.
The funniest and most stressful video you’ve done yet! Glad you guys are still friends :) Even without us knowing who was what, I think it’s fair to say it was pretty obvious. Great game, gentlemen!
Jesse, dude, from the start there was no question you were the assassin, it was hilarious 😂 The other side of it was also really funny that Jen’s position was not in question for 99% of the time, and Jesse didn’t even consider it. The high pitch in your voice, the fumbling around with the excuses. You had no choice but to cooperate all the time because anything else would decide it on the spot. I liked the concept from the other video, and this gameplay solidified my interest. Super cool.
I would've thought that Jan was the Assassin. Thou dost protest too much. Before the video, I thought this might be a fun game to play with my partner. After the video, I think this may end up with my murder in real life.
@@distantrabbitgames wow, I can't believe that Mantis Falls publisher came all the way to the video comments looking for questions that the community might has. Unbelievable work, guys! So glad I backed up this fantastic game, with such a good team behind it. Keep the good work lads, the community is proud of ya'll
Hey Daniel! Twin peaks was definitely one of our mood inspirations for this game...in fact we recommend the OST in our manual as background music for the game : )
The genuine betrayal on Jan's face xD And you have a bad poker face Jesse! I could see through the whole video the guilts strewn all over haha. This looks super interesting and fun, im not sure ive ever even seen a 2 player social deduction game before! The whole thing seems so tense and atmospheric even though its pretty simple component wise :)

Thankful for this channel showing so much stuff while it's still available on Kickstarter
For anyone searching for how to play videos. This is the best one.
So much banter about that gun when the duck was the real danger ;) Classic bait and switch
Its as thought that duck were made for Jesse. Might have to add some antlers to the card in his copy : )
@@distantrabbitgames 😂 the power of that card will be forever feared
It is so funny to actually come back half way into this video, having completly forgot which role each one has x')
Oh!! Were you able to figure it out? :P

Hahaha - I had to xD there was no other option!!
I think this game might be right up my alley. I’ve backed it based mostly on your play through. Thanks.
We're excited for you to play it : )

Jan's reactions at the end of the game were just lovely : )

Excellent gameplay however, I have a question: Shouldn´t he use his three last gasp? He died without using any last gasp.
Goncalo- absolutely! While it seemed he couldn't heal with the last gasp he might have been able to kill Jesse too and finish with a tie!

Backed, thanks for the great showcase!
Thanks for being a backer!
Loved that game play :) and the fact that the Duck card was so important ;)
Right? We knew he was going to love the duck card, but we had no idea it would be the game winner!
This looks ace but I would kill for a Twin Peaks or Deadly Premonition re theme!
I was definitely thinking Twin Peaks.

And I've just backed. Looks awesome.

Thanks Natanel! We built this game specifically because there wasn't anything of this kind available for such a low player count!
love to watch u play the game!! i was not sure about it but ur vid just made me super excited to get to play this. so deliciousss
Thanks Esse - they did a great job showcasing it for us!
That jazz music tho...
Thanks, this is a really clear explanation of how this game works. I’ll be backing it on Kickstarter. 🙂
Thanks for being a backer Dean!
Distant Rabbit Games No problem. You don’t see many 2 player deduction games and this looks like good fun.
@@distantrabbitgames A year later and my copy has arrived! Time to try and remember how to play it! 😂
After taking Mr. Nash, you would need to take another Mr. Nash card to get the ally effects (if that's a 2 in the top left).
I believe the Private Call allowed Jan to take two ally cards. He just stacked them on top of each other.
Oh right! There it is.
Enjoyed the play through! (And FYI, "pugilist" is pronounced pyoo-juh-list.)
Did they ever say how you determine how many spaces you advance on the road?
1:06:24 -- Moment of truth
I'd rather see two innocents sniping at each other.
Omg, that was hilarious and very entertaining to watch! 😂
