Some of you have mentioned a resemblance with the box cover. I have NO idea what you're talking about 😅 twitter.com/WatchItPlayed/status/1493644280572821510
With some tweaking, this could be an excellent idea for a game version of the movie Inside Out. Visualize the modifications, package it and pitch it to the Disney/Pixar people. It worked with the Toy Story reskin of Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle.
Super interesting game. Kinda feels inspired by King’s Dilemma with the whole jury and persona objectives thing. Not really a fan of the dexterity mechanic but it’s a unique approach to area control!
Definitely a pretty creative idea. The token pushing is a bit gimmicky, but the concept of different emotions and personas trying to influence different actions in a person is definitely pretty interesting. And I feel like there would definitely be some analysis paralysis with how little information you have about anything that is going to happen. Especially if you’re the Prosecutor, who has to push around everyone’s tokens with no clue what other people will want to do and thus what will work out for you.
Yep, certainly a unique one! You'll likely have some sense of what players will likely want to do, sine you'll have some idea of what the various win conditions are, allowing you to begin to guess what other players will prioritize happening.
Rodney, a couple questions Do you play all the games you teach beforehand? Second, when you played this, did you simply play as all the personas, considering you ARE Guy?
Hey Timothy, yep, I play before teaching, or at the very least play them multi-handed. The last couple years hasn't always made playing at fuller play counts easy.
I'm not sure I follow the question - the video shows a good example of what a push should look like. The important thing is that it has to be a slow, steady push.
Given the game's title, I really wish you'd done the whole video without opening your mouth, instead having it sound like it was coming from inside your head!

I'm sure your shirt matching the box cover was a complete accident as well!
@@kevinbhieey9188 I was going to say just that
LOL!
Enough of a resemblance to boost interest. Not enough resemblance to get sued over. Plausible deniability. Well played Unexpected Games, well played.
Came here to post about that 🤣
That face on the cover art look familiar
Rodney, the guy on the box looks a bit like you without your glasses (maybe it’s just the shirt colour). Is there something you need to tell us?
the first thing i thought in this video lol
I was waiting for him to say game designed by Rodney haha
Hahahaha
I plead the fifth!
I genuinely thought this was a whole game built around a Dead of Winter -style tie-in
That is a really interesting board game. Thank you, Mr. Rodney Smith. I always love your videos.
Appreciate you being here Eddie!

Very intriguing. Not just your possible culpability, but we've been telling friends about this game, too. 🤣 Looks outside the box, in a box. 😉
I have been getting weird looks from the police lately...
Am I the only one who sees the resemblance of Rodney and the guy on the cover? x)
Definitely a unique concept , look forward to playing it.Thanks for sharing this :)
Thank you for checking it out!

Thanks for checking out the video!
That was a fantastic opening... "probably shouldn't have done that..." XD
Looking forward to trying this someday!!!
I hope you get a chance to!
This company has the BEST logo ever. They did the Initiative. Very distinct logo full of mystery....little guy sneaking in a dice block...
They are living up to their publisher title!
Rodney, thank you for bring this game to our attention. I wonder if Guy was the one who stole my bacon? 🤔
Probably!!
Is it just me or Guy looks like Rodney? 😁
Really? How? Rodney wears glasses. Next, you will be saying Supeman looks like a reporter your friend Jimmy knows.
@@alyssamova7388 wait... do YOU know that reporter too? What are the odds? 😁😁
Very interesting table presence with the elevated spaces!
Yes, quite unique!
Great video! I was so curious how this game worked the moment I heard about it. Very unique idea.
Yes, quite different!
Rodney, are you leading a secret life we don’t know about? 😉
I'll never say!!
Guy would nev... I mean Rodney would never!
We are so intrigued by this...and your role in it, Rodney! XD XD
Ha! :)
"Guy Johnson"? Mr. Smith, could you please remove your glasses and tell us where you were the night of August 5th?
Definitely a pretty creative idea. The token pushing is a bit gimmicky, but the concept of different emotions and personas trying to influence different actions in a person is definitely pretty interesting.

The gentleman on the box art
...looks oddly familiar.
Hmmmmm
Ha!
It's a pleasure to watch your videos! I can't wait to prove Guy's innocence! :P
Have a fun time in court (or in his head!)
Wow, this is very creative. Deeply complex! I think this is out of my gaming realm for now, but maybe not always! :)
Thanks for checking it out!
@@WatchItPlayed Always!!
So this was based on you, right? I mean, no glasses, but still :)
I would like to watch a playthrough of this game when this game is released
Thanks for the interest!
This seems like a game that I'll have to have in my collection. Very unique.
I think the publishers company name suits it well: Unexpected Games!
It's as if the designers of the box new that Rodney would film this video. THAT IS LITERALLY YOU ON THAT BOX
Ha! It is an amusing likeness :)
Is Guy Johnson... Rodney? There's quite the resemblance there. Take out the glasses for some green contacts and that's it.
What a weird game, but I think I'd like it a lot because of the potential for multiple winners
Quite different, right?
Rodney, a couple questions Do you play all the games you teach beforehand? Second, when you played this, did you simply play as all the personas, considering you ARE Guy?
Hey Timothy, yep, I play before teaching, or at the very least play them multi-handed. The last couple years hasn't always made playing at fuller play counts easy.
So I know you have to push at a steady pace, but what prevents you from just applying solid force to shove out everything already in a certain region?
I'm not sure I follow the question - the video shows a good example of what a push should look like. The important thing is that it has to be a slow, steady push.
If you have the pushing piece upright, the blockers should stop you from knocking out pieces that you shouldn't be able to.
Guy Johnson looks a lot like a certain Canadian rules teacher...
Did you model for the art on this game?
I didn't :)
So Mr Smith (aka Guy) where were you on Friday night of the 16th March 2020?
*shuffles feet nervously*
A game about watch it played 🤪!? The head on the cover has something similar…
I give a 9,5 on the box filp..
Nice, I might get the gold medal for that score!
don't worry, it could be worse...I spent high school resembling Cameron from Ferris Bueller.
put glasses on the man on the cover...and it's Rodney Smith...
Given the game's title, I really wish you'd done the whole video without opening your mouth, instead having it sound like it was coming from inside your head!
Ha! That would have made for a unique style of video, to match the unique style of game.
