Yes yes, her performance deserves praise as well! She's very good at playing the loving mother, who wants only what is best for her children even when they misbehave and rebel. Although, I suppose "misbehave" is putting it mildly... I think any mother would feel pain at being told by her child that she was not their mother, even if she knew that they were lying through their teeth.

That brief, heartbreaking moment when Loki realizes he's been an ass to the mother he adores and gives that "I'm an idiot" head shake as he goes to her to console and apologize with affection....only she's not really there. And when she's gone, that tight, eye-closed expression of regret that tells us all he actually really loves her. That, my friends, is subtext through acting and he is amazing at it.
Yep. And the only thing that probably made that memory even a bit close to bearable for Loki would be the knowledge that Frigga clearly knew he was lying/in denial. It's like Frigga said to Thor in Endgame: she could "see with more than eyes" - on top of knowing them all of their lives. She knows when her boys are trying to hide something, just like she knows that they love her - even with all of their baggage.
@ᴛʜᴇ ʙʀɪɴɢᴇʀ ᴏꜰ ᴄʜᴀᴏꜱ it's made by Frigga, because her magic is similar to Loki's. I think Frigga probably taught Loki her magic. As Thor says to Loki, "you have mother's tricks but I had her trust."

@Wasa Few Thor is not stronger than odin. Odin said it just because thor has the potential to be stronger than odin but he was not stronger here and in infinity war. Asgardians grow stronger the older they get... Old Thor (King) is stronger than odin.
@Wasa Few thor still hasn't reached his peak yet. I believe this is why he is still alive and will have more movies too because we will eventually see him at his full strength
Thor too. Even when Loki was at his worse Thor just wanted to stop him not seriously hurt him. He was heartbroken every time Loki died. It's just too bad Loki couldn't see the 2 people who loved him most over his need to be accepted by Odin.
Wait, so Loki killed his real father to get the validation of his Adopted father. This shows how desperate he was for the respect and adoration of Odin
yes but his real father abandoned him because when loki was born he was small for a frost giant, but odin took him because if he didnt Loki would have been killed
He hesitated before saying "you are not",he didn't said it inmediatly, because he didn't wanted to say it but his ego took over him and he did anyways. Loki truly loved Frigga, and Frigga truly loved Loki. The way he keeps calm until the guard is gone and then destroys everything in the room while being alone, ending up completely broken and a mess. He probably thinks she died thinking that he hated her just like everyone else. And now he can't apologize. The least he can do is ask "did she suffered?" he doesn't know what else to do. Yeah. This is why I love Loki. This is why I love what the MCU and Tom Hiddleston have been doing with him since the beginning.
Bro what you said is true but her mother also knows that Loki loves her and said those words by anger 😔 but it was a great performance from both of them Mother and son ❤️

Loki is normally so quick about stating his opinion and insults without hesitation but when Frigga asked him “Then am I Not you’re mother” he hesitated and even when saying she wasn’t he had a quiet voice and seemed to be forcing the words out his mouth I love this scene for that reason because Loki has no hesitation in telling every other part of his adopted family that they aren’t his family, but when it comes to Frigga it’s so difficult for him and unlike the others he regrets it
His mother who loved him no matter what, who taught him her magic, who raised him lovingly as her own... and his last words to her were to disown her all because of his foolish stubborness and pride. Caramelle Salley Well Frigga kinda lied to him all his life, I don’t really think that’s just a tantrum or pride or stupid. He never expected Odin to punish him like that and you see his whole demeanor and vibe change. He would have made a snarky remark at any other punishment but this truly shocked him and hurt him at his core. He looks like he is about to cry :(
I still maintain that the scene where Loki learns about Frigga's death then blowers the furniture back with his powers is one of the best scenes and acting from the entire MCU. No words are spoken so you can feel Loki's pain.
Loki was always so quick to insult and disown every other family member but with Frigga, he hesitated. And his expressions show so much regret. Loki loved his mother more then anyone and his last words to her were “You’re not”.
When he says she’s not his mother, that literally felt like a hot knife through butter. Painful. Then she dies and it’s just like obvious he regretted that being the last thing he said to her.
"you were both born to be king" he was right, just in a different way, loki took it to heart living in his brothers shadow, knowing his father said they were both post to be kings, his head was messed up due to that
I always have to take a deep breath when I hear that conversation between Loki and Frigga.. and then I have to close my eyes before she gets murdered because it hurts my heart... R.I.P to both of you.. 💚
Thor attempts to kill an entire race and puts his friends and brother in life threatening danger and is given a life lesson about becoming a better person and what it takes to be a good king by his father and Loki does the same thing and so his father throws him in a dungeon for the rest of his life, disowns him and then he's lectured that he's as loved by his family as Thor is 😅
And fed a lie he would be a king with thor... and was never truly accepted as Odins son and thors equal. He was but a mere regret Odin had done against frost giants. Odin is a dumbass, and never treated Loki equally to thor in punishment or reward. Idk how he thought this would play out for him lol...
@@RubenMiguel23 Loki knew that Odin would forgive Thor, as always. And especially Thor was tuned to it. Regarding the Destroyer, Loki was afraid that Thor would return and kill Loki, because he was a frost giant. Thor enjoyed the battle with the frost giants. And Loki just wanted to earn his father’s love and be equal to Thor in his father’s eyes
My heart BLEEDS when I think of their relationship!!!😭😭 he loves her so much but you know he felt betrayed when he found out he wasn’t their biological son. None the less he loves his mom more than anything and that’s the saddest part! He was battling himself on whether or not to let himself love her like he once did.
All the Loki scenes are so well-written in this film. I love the fact that when he gets the news of Frigga's death, you see him putting down one of the books she had brought him. It just shows, without any dialogue, how guilty he felt about being mean to her and dismissing her books as well as her maternal love for him. He had finally come around and decided to stop sulking and read those books, which was an acknowledgment of his very strong connection to her... And now he will feel even worse, as she is dead and he will never get the chance to apologize.
the guilt and self hate he feels after the news of his moms death and the last words he said "you are not my mother" thoes where the last words she heard before she died he greatly regrets thoes words i wonder if he was disguised as Odin he visited her shrine or something and just feels great shame and sadness
Odin always favoured Thor in the past sending him to Midgard as a lesson knowing he’ll change. And Frigga always favoured Loki knowing he is more than some God who took innocent lives
It’s so heartbreaking how (SPOILERS) ...this reflects Loki’s death scene in Infinity War. Like how Loki dismissed his mother just before she died Thor dismissed Loki just before he got killed by Thanos. Loki did what he could for Thor like how Frigga did what she could to comfort Loki. All this family drama is so heart wrenching 😭
Loki's last words to his mother "you are not" he didn't got the chance to apologize to her... And after first episode of Loki we saw that he was the one who showed the path to the palace to that monster not knowing that he was sending the death to his mother... Loki loved both his father and mother 😔
3:16 I just now realized that Loki's foot is bare even though previously he was wearing shoes. So either he a) took off his shoes and threw them in anger or b) kicked the furniture so hard it literally destroyed his shoes. Either way such a heartbreaking detail and I love it. Goddammit, poor Loki...
1:53 I mean he actually has a point , odin massacred thousands with his firstborn hela , why ishe being so harsh with loki ?!! I simply don't get it . Loki deserved better
Odin never intended Loki to be king, just dangled the carrot. Pitted him against Thor in a competition he never had a chance of winning. Odin was a shit dad and a mass murderer whereas frigga just loved Thor and Loki unconditionally.
Loki is my favorite character not just because who he is but because I'm in a similar situation too. Despite the people who hates me even my family because who am I, my mother is the only one who will purely loves me no matter what. And if anything happens to her I feel like that's the end of the world.
I can't help but think of Peter Parker's (Trilogy series) situation and Loki's being the exact same here. Both of them throw away the words of the ones who raised them, only for the last words they ever exchange to be an argument. You can imagine Loki's sheer anguish. He couldn't hold her hand as she died or even attend her funeral.

When he nods, you can tell his world just tore apart
After watching *Loki* tv series we all got to know that Loki really loved his mother with all hearts. After all he was her son.
Odin save Loki's life for politic way but Frigga love him truly😭😭 I'm crying ...
2:04 damn you can see the emotions in his eyes 😢
That hug was so cute!
Did they cut that out or not?
Nope
@@fedeeeeee yes
@@HawkinaBox I wanted to answer to the other comment, I'm sorry
When he says she’s not his mother, that literally felt like a hot knife through butter. Painful. Then she dies and it’s just like obvious he regretted that being the last thing he said to her.
2:22. That moment broke my heart, He really loved her and She actually loved him, the part of the movie in my opinion...
"you were both born to be king" he was right, just in a different way, loki took it to heart living in his brothers shadow, knowing his father said they were both post to be kings, his head was messed up due to that
2:19 Is that regret i see? I mean c'mon look at that face
I always have to take a deep breath when I hear that conversation between Loki and Frigga.. and then I have to close my eyes before she gets murdered because it hurts my heart... R.I.P to both of you.. 💚
This scene was painful, you can see the sadness in friggas eyes as she fades away the son she loved for years says your not my mother.
When loke reached for Frigga in the cell he's like,
Mummy, I'm SORRY, I didn't mean it.
I mean thor on earth did kinda sucked since he lost all his strength and power due to that but he got his hammer back by being worthy
Loki manipulated Thor into attacking the frost Giants and later tried to kill Thor and destroy an entire planet, not quite the same thing.
That's why loki and nebula are my favorite mcu characters
@@RubenMiguel23 Loki knew that Odin would forgive Thor, as always. And especially Thor was tuned to it. Regarding the Destroyer, Loki was afraid that Thor would return and kill Loki, because he was a frost giant. Thor enjoyed the battle with the frost giants. And Loki just wanted to earn his father’s love and be equal to Thor in his father’s eyes
Kid Loki was casted perfectly - looks just like Hiddleston!
Loki and Frigga are so damn interesting characters.
Loki is the definition of daddy issues
Loved it! Although the scene of Loki avenging his mother’s death would’ve looked cool on this video. Still, well done!
*"I never wanted the throne, i merely want to be your equal!"*
*LOKI*
From first thor?
All the Loki scenes are so well-written in this film. I love the fact that when he gets the news of Frigga's death, you see him putting down one of the books she had brought him. It just shows, without any dialogue, how guilty he felt about being mean to her and dismissing her books as well as her maternal love for him. He had finally come around and decided to stop sulking and read those books, which was an acknowledgment of his very strong connection to her... And now he will feel even worse, as she is dead and he will never get the chance to apologize.
02:04 he is hesitant
It’s the way he always called Odin, Odin. But only ever called frigge mother 💚
If Loki got his own movie, with none of the dichotomous BS that Marvel is known for, it would step beyond epic.
he's getting his own tv show, if that helps
@@natalietraynor6451 really
@@nthatall yep, I heard it was him messing with history but I'm not sure
lol ur not daveed diggs no Im not, Im Lafayette
@@nthatall yes he is! Search on the web "Loki series" and it will pop up! I'm so excited, he's my fav character in the MCU
I feel like frigga is underrated she was such a sweet mother to loki and thir
That’s why she had her scenes in « Endgame »
That pain in Frigga’s eyes when Loki says she’s not his mother. Dude, she raised you. She may not be your biological mother but you are her son.
2:57 and the breakdown starts.
the guilt and self hate he feels after the news of his moms death and the last words he said "you are not my mother" thoes where the last words she heard before she died he greatly regrets thoes words i wonder if he was disguised as Odin he visited her shrine or something and just feels great shame and sadness
Odin always favoured Thor in the past sending him to Midgard as a lesson knowing he’ll change. And Frigga always favoured Loki knowing he is more than some God who took innocent lives
I just realized that Mama Thunder gave both son's life altering love advice on the last day of her life.
i just want loki to meet his mother in loki the series
In the Loki series, Loki needs to have a similar moment with Frigga that Thor got in Endgame.
If we don’t get a Loki-Frigga flashback in Loki Season Two, I’m writing a strongly worded letter to Marvel.
Deep down Loki loves Frigga more than anyone else
It’s so heartbreaking how (SPOILERS)
...this reflects Loki’s death scene in Infinity War. Like how Loki dismissed his mother just before she died Thor dismissed Loki just before he got killed by Thanos. Loki did what he could for Thor like how Frigga did what she could to comfort Loki. All this family drama is so heart wrenching 😭
and then there is Odin
Loki's last words to his mother "you are not" he didn't got the chance to apologize to her... And after first episode of Loki we saw that he was the one who showed the path to the palace to that monster not knowing that he was sending the death to his mother... Loki loved both his father and mother 😔
3:16 I just now realized that Loki's foot is bare even though previously he was wearing shoes. So either he a) took off his shoes and threw them in anger or b) kicked the furniture so hard it literally destroyed his shoes. Either way such a heartbreaking detail and I love it. Goddammit, poor Loki...
The "Then am I not your mother?" scene brings tears to my eyes every single time.
2021; the year Loki's show is about to air.
"Now... Kneel. I said... KNEEL!!!"
Trust my rage.
1:55 He's got a point
0:52 loki: hello mother, have i made you proud??? im just in jail now,no biggie. Proud of me??
Happy mother's day to all mothers. They will always love u no matter what.
"Am I not your mother?"
Okay there's no way he can deny that.
"...You are not."
Omg Loki...
Who's here after the Loki finale?
here
He never calls his dad father but he still refers to Frigga as Mother
When Loki felt way emotional seeing his mother's death, begins to cry, I felt his feelings. I wanna cheer him up. 💖 sending hugs to you, Loki.
1:53 I mean he actually has a point , odin massacred thousands with his firstborn hela , why ishe being so harsh with loki ?!! I simply don't get it . Loki deserved better
“always so perceptive to everyone, but yourself”
He loves Thor too ...He's just very good at hiding it
2:22 now you know how Thor felt all those years 😁
Odin never intended Loki to be king, just dangled the carrot. Pitted him against Thor in a competition he never had a chance of winning. Odin was a shit dad and a mass murderer whereas frigga just loved Thor and Loki unconditionally.
The effects when the camera passed the barrier
Wow
Why is it people forget when they talked while odin was asleep? That really showed that frigga and thor loved him.
He couldn't hold her hand as she died or even attend her funeral.
love these! :)
Loki was a mama's boy
it's a heart breaking moment
*Did* *she* *suffer* *?*

Cant believe Lightning Mcqueen say that
I think Loki stopped being so bad when his mom died
E O I think I agree. He’s still crafty and opportunistic, but maybe not evil
i want the scene of a young thor finding a snake and get stabbed by a changing loki when the letters *LOKI* appear on screen as first intro of the series
So now that the Loki series is here.
