I watched your videos the night before the race this past weekend (cause I couldn't sleep!) I'm so glad I found out that you could take the ferry anytime. I didn't have to leave so early. Good tips, wish I had found you sooner. The race was great and everyone was so friendly.
Great tips. As a former NYer this video would be great for prepping out of towners for what they will be facing. We left Staten Island in 2001. Hoping to get into the race for 2019.
love love love your videos. Going to run my 3rd in a few weeks time (but first time in NYC). Love how you structure and cut your videos, giving me goose bumps already. :)
Good information! Just a couple of Qs 1. Some people mentioned uneasyness on the boat - although I don't have sea sickness, is this concern true? 2. As per my finish time I have been 3 ferry options 615, 630, 645 - anything like earlier/ later the better?
I am signed up for Midtown bus at 5:30 am this Sunday. I am part of the Wave 1 start (Green Local Competitive).. do you think I should take a later ferry or should I stick with the 5:30 bus. Also, could I take the 6:00 midtown bus if I wanted to sleep in a little more? I am staying in a Midtown hotel near the NY public library. I used to live in Manhattan for 3 years although I have never taken the ferry before. Thanks for any input into this.
You can take any ferry you want. Technically it’s public transportation and they’ll never check what is says on your bib on SI. They just check to make sure you have one. If I were you, I’d sleep in a bit.
I somehow missed the deadline for the transportation options. It's STRESSING me out. Can't I just get on the Staten Island Ferry, even though my profile says 'does not need official transportation?"

A+. The visual is 1000x better than reading notes online. Good karma to you.
great video as always. Is it possible to take a bus in the morning from brooklyn via Verrazano bridge before it closes?
Or stay in Staten Island, thoughts?
How do you get a poncho?

What time would you recommend getting to the ferry for me to safely get to my Corral for the 9:50 am start in time? Thanks for your advice..
6:30 should be fine but it depends on how neurotic you are 😜
Is that woman eating a chicken wing or a drumstick @4:30? lololol
Ha! I never noticed that before. I think it’s a bagel.
Thrilla from Manila OmG it’s a chicken wing hahahaha
