You dislike the fact they took out Jolyne holding a tray
I dislike the fact they removed the scene where Jolyne thinks about chocolate cake
We are not the same
Her deciding Chocolate should be the last thing she eats before she dies was pivotal to the plot
"Even if the world was ending"
I dislike the fact that they omitted the Michael Jackson tv concert part
They better keep the scene where Jolyne mentions her envy towards snails and their ability to reproduce with anything
Yes.
honestly them adding more scenes to show off characters and stuff is a great addition because gwess becomes nothing after a certain part
She sucks so it's understandable they'd get rid of her
They didnt add anything for Gwess tho?
@@roman108 they gave her more interaction/screentime which anyone would usually say is a win

I don’t like the camera being covered by Stone Free, because it makes no sense. Luckily the manga didn’t have it.
You missed that Ermes pouring out water for Foo Fighters after learning of her death. That might be my favorite addition they've added so far. Because I was always annoyed how FF and her sacrifice was kinda forgotten about later down the road. But now with Ermes paying her respects really helps emphasize that--despite being together for a short while--they were still friends.
I got exactly what I wanted in the final batch... F.F. being added to the final panel of the characters in the sky lmao
Justice for FF
They kinda did this in every single part. Caesar doesn’t get any flowers at the end of part 2, avdol and kakyoin in part 3 don’t either, shigechi is mourned only a little, the dead aren’t really mentioned much after they die in part 5. Really a shame
@@gregglemange Great Days would have been an S-tier opening on its own, but it is definitly S+ tier for including little bro in the clouds.

The scene of Ermes pouring out a glass of water for F.F. may be one of my new favorite scenes in the entire series
i cried when F.F. died and then that scene just made me start crying again. it was a great scene, though.
"Jolyne no longer spoils the sixth sense"
Let's thank David Production for removing the spoiler for a two decades old movie.
Bruce Willis is actually dead and he’s a ghost.
@Pajaro Chango I got the thing spoiled by me 😔 I really wanted to watch it

They could never reach that level of perfection.

Slight correction here but the nails do actually grow in the anime. There's a quick shot of them after Pucci touches the woman's watch.
Edit: the nail comparison has now been cut from the video.
Yeah I noticed it too. I'm not sure how he missed it.
Hamon Beat Forgot
Yeah I very distinctly saw the nails grow & Pucci's shocked looking reaction
What? He didn’t talk about nails he talked about her baby aging?? Am I missing something???
@@sunshinex2012 I'm beginning to think Hamon Beat edited that out as of us watching it
The fact that Araki had Yo Yo Ma explain how those Everglades propeller boats work to Anasui implies that he rode in one and possibly drove one when visiting Florida and I love that.
If he could tour a prison I don’t see why he wouldn’t tour a riverboat

The animation definitely improved, but I found that the sound quality, specifically its mixing, was a bit weird

Since we can see ermes backstory more even baby ermes. I really want them to give us baby jolyne with her mom and jotaro in the third batch as a backstory. It will make more heart wrenching. And also wanna see a lot of new scenes.
Oh nooo, if i see baby Jolyne and Jotaro in a flashback i think i'm definitely going to cry

Gloria’s ghost hugging Ermes might be my favorite addition. This is the answer to the anti vengeance narrative saying, “she wouldn’t want this!”
Yes, she would. Sports Max got what he deserved. Gloria is avenged and Ermes can move on with what’s left of her life.
But its so much more interesting to not know, it leaves more interesting questions.
Imo it's not a good addition.
Gloria probably would have wanted to see Ermes going to college and accomplish her dreams, this is why she sacrificed herself, not spending her life in prison.
i like the addition at the end of the intro where Jolyne hugs Jotaro from behind. idk i just like the characters so much i wanna see them work everything out lmao
not really.
She wanted ermes to have good life, not waste it on vengeance for her, that's why she sacrificed herself.
@@ProjektTaku She sacrificed herself so that Ermes wouldn't die

I had a major Mandela effect moment watching the anime, because I swore that FF died from the boiling water stand. I got kinda annoyed because I thought they were changing the story, but then I find out that FF had survived the boiling water in the manga too.
It's possible that the color scans I read missed a chapter but it felt like she was alive for a pretty long time after that.
Anyways I'm just looking forward to seeing those freaky shell-wearer beetles animated.
Plus the snail-doggo, butterflysnail
Bro me too but the other way around, I thought FF died after boiling but that it was an anime thing cuz I had thought they were supposed to live longer
Anasui survived ONLY because F.F. didn't die from boiling, so it's kinda strange to forget about her like that
@@evauwu5190 i agree with you
I read coloured scans too and I thought the same, they must have missed a chapter in the version I read, I was really confused.
I personally enjoyed this batch of episodes, animation was very high quality and has built up for the next and hopefully final batch very well.

stone ocean appreciated?
Also, I'm not sure if I like it, as gloria wouldn't really want ermes to waste her life avenging her.
@@ProjektTaku It’s my favorite part get over it. And while I do think it could be out of character, I don’t think it’s literally her ghost. I think it’s more of an artistic choice to show that Ermes’ grudge is finally over and Gloria is avenged. We only really see the souls of dead characters in Jojo shortly after they die.
@@destroyerkitty9434 I was making a joke of when you said "so appreciated" as sicne it was in capitals, it looks like the acronym of stone ocean, but its always nice to see some stone ocean love.

But if it is artistic, then its incredibly well done as it shows the weight of gloria's death has been lifted from ermes allowing her to move on.
@@ProjektTaku Joseph's "ghost" in Part 3 could contradict it too, and that's in the manga

I love how one of the things that Hamon Beat predicted in an earlier video came true. The prediction being that people who didn't like part 6 (especially the dragon's dream fight) will watch the anime adaptation, enjoy it, then claim that the reason they enjoyed the anime was because the anime fixed all the problems.
I disagree, the Maximum Security arc still sucks, and is only made slightly better in animation by being able to follow it more easily. But overall my opinion on it hasn't changed. Planet Waves/Dragon's Dream/Yo Yo Ma are still bad fights and I'm almost glad for the batch release because going through that weekly would've been rough.

I think they’re really gonna bring their A game for this one! To make it not only one of the most memorable moments in the Jojo anime but for Anime in general!
This is probably my favorite set of episodes out of all Jojos. They should've done it weekly.
I'm convinced all of Part 6 is already animated, they're just holding out till the end and it pisses me off.
One specific scene that I hope they won’t change from the manga, is the scene where Pucci and Donatello are in the hospital with Pucci asking him to do a bunch of quirky things just to see if he and him are alike right before the fight with Jolyne and Ermes starts. I just like how simple it feels since it’s only a couple panels with barely any dialogue and just feels comfy to read.

You actually do see the woman's nails growing in the anime, it's just very brief and hard to miss. Otherwise very interesting video for someone like me who hasn't read the manga
So, regarding Jolyne's thieving backstory, I have a sneaking suspicion that Ermes, Emporio, and Jolyne will steal a car early on to chase Pucci, and then we'll see her remembering her backstory.
That would actually make a really cool transition!
@@KikoElGatito the other option is an expansion of this, like in the helicopter that they take or Ermes/Emporio asking why Jolyne was sent to GDSP, since it's for repeat offenders.
I don't like that they removed the jolyne flashback, whitesnake being tricked by its reflection, pucci talking about the cross, the narrator mentioning that mosquitoes secrete saliva, jolyne spoiling sixth sense, and the baby being aged but the limp bizkit arc in particular had many great additions
about the cross thing, i like it better in the anime, the attack is quick and surprising, cause you don't expect pucci to have a mini cross in his fingernails to attack someone, it brings more impact
@@amf3118 i disagree, the shot of the cross is so quick in the anime that even as a manga reader, I barely even noticed it and because it wasn't explained that it was used to extend Pucci's range, even if an anime only does notice it, they won't know why he's doing it
@@zh7334 might be me then, but i understood pretty clear what was the purpose of the cross and i adore that moment, but i can see people missing the moment so fair.
The mosquito shit was unnecessary. The yo yo ma fight was boring af and extending it even longer would of made it even worse

3:53 Surprised to hear this 'sisterly ghost hug' was added in the anime.
I just assumed that was Araki's usual on-the-nose kind of way of portraying a vengeful act as something deemed just and pure by the universe at large.
It paints the whole narrative in an opinionated light as we're note merely watching Hermes doing what she wants to do to feel better, but making a statement of it having been the right thing to do.
I hope they adapt the Jolyne getting arrested for the first time scene for the start of Batch 3, likely in the chapter where they visit Romeo
Are there anymore jolyne flashbacks during the later third? Or maybe they could show it during the Under World fight, even if they change the circumstances a bit
I thought that said Risotto and got super confused for a split second
Gonna be a little sad (and relieved lol) when part 6 finally ends, this is actually becoming one of my favorite parts thanks to the anime.

8:24 the dead fish are actually shown in the anime, it’s just a bit before that shot while they’re still on the boat
I really like the additional scene of Ermes pouring one out for F.F.
everybody talking about the nails growing while the dead fish scene is in the anime too, after we see the green baby's hand in corner of the boat
Honestly, Ermes pouring one out for FF really got me.
This batch was lit, David Productions delivered top tier anime again
I feel like a lot of what we lose is some of the little characterizations that made me love Jolyne. Like I feel like they're trying a bit too hard to make her come across a bit stoic. But Jolyne's a bit goofy and fun, like Josuke/Joseph. She's very expressive, she spoils movies, she SWOOCES in with her tray and fantasizes about cake.
A lot of it just feels like time limitations because they tend to want to stay very on model which can cause the characters to feel a little stiff at times (which is an odd complaint about Jojo characters of all things)
I thought they handled her demeanor just fine, and she still has her moment with being jealous of snails that could be yet to come
@@GalekC True but there's a real chance that might not happen and I worry.
Yeah I really hate the omissions because of that. Right now the characters are too serious and static, that they feel more 2 dimensional. And now that Netflix is handling the translations, the absurd amount of swearing is honestly grating, it makes the dialog feel pointless as its just them yelling the same obscenities every time, whereas before it felt more unique each time and the reactions were part of the fun. So the lack of smaller character moments (except FF kept most of hers luckily) and the more serious and harsh tone to the speaking makes the episodes less fun and enjoyable. It also seems worse this batch, whereas the last 12 episodes the swearing felt better utilized and worked.
Are the subtitles the same words as the dub? Because I'm watching the dub for my dad's sake, but normally the dub changes things to fit the timing better but the sub is more accurate overall, but I suspect that the sub is just the sub of the dub, and not a sub of the original Japanese. So I'm wondering if the dialog is more enjoyable in the original Japanese and the dub is just Netflix trying to be edgy. It could also be that I just don't like the dub, or maybe the dialog isn't as interestingly written in this part, and I just forgot as it's been a while since I read the manga.
In any case, the characterization and personalities aren't as fun as I remember, and I think it's the lack of those moments alongside me watching the dub instead.
@@GBDupree Naw the Sub is much more in line with the japanese version than the Dub translation.
@@yotomoe5953 Normally yeah, but I wasn't sure if the sub was separate from the dub translation since Netflix took over. Like Normally its 2 separate translations, but I wasn't sure if Netflix would be lazy and just put the Dub's translation to text. The dub is good enough, but sometimes I'm not sure if its super accurate or if they had to mess with it to fit the timing and mouth flaps.
5:23 I am almost certain that this image doesn't show the 6 hikers but rather the rescue team that investigated the hikers disappearing, not only are they only 5 on the picture as it appears right at the moment DIO is mentioning the rescue team's conclusion about the incident, but most importantly, the dog they're walking with is actually from a breed of dog used in avalanche rescue in the French and Swiss Alps called a St. Bernard, the small barrel at its neck used to contain alcohol to warm the freezing victims up while waiting for rescue, and although it's no longer in use since the 20th century these barrels are still integrated into the imagery of this breed nowadays.

She's sometimes referred to as hermes due to a localization of her name, but its ermes, in anime and manga.
And the subtitles called him maximum to avoid copyright, just like how limp bizkit was changed to limp viscuit in the subtitles.
The biggest difference is that they made Dragon's Dream tolerable
The magic of being able to show 3D space and movement and not just posing with arrows and 70 pages of explanation on Feng Shui
@@punusername3445 half of Jojo is 70 pages of Araki telling that new thing he found on Google, i love it XD
@@joaquinrodriguez227 You gotta give one thing to Araki tho: He doesn’t just look up shit on google, Jojo exists since the 80s and imo his creativity is definitely original
Only the best from hamon beat
I had a physical relief after the Dragon's Drean arc, there were so many walls of texts in between each move of the fight that i almost started to skip it in the manga, because they kept explaining over and over again the stands ability. In the anime because is animation is way better paced, and the Yo Yo Ma arc too. A lot of part 6 stands have this gimmick of being intangible (Basically, a lot of stands specially in the High Security arc are like Steely Dan's Lovers) so in the manga it was a pain to read through
there are a lot of text on that fight in the animu aswell
@@NickCTorres nearly not as much as in the manga, and again the action doesn't stop while i read the subtitles
The manager of the grocery store was shown while the woman is leaving the store btw
I cant believe they took both tray jolyne and flaccid pancake from us. “Th-This really sucks…”
Somewhat actual RUclipsr jojo content 😮
4:39 the new logo is also seen in batch one of stone ocean. I’m not sure when that was updated but it’s worth pointing out
He does point this out. He mentions that it was first updated during the first batch’s tv broadcast in Japan
@@tegosauras99 It was updated in December & January on Netflix as well
12:15 the womans fingernails are shown growing in the adaptation btw, there is visual sound effects displayed and all
The woman's fingers do grow in the anime, right after the watch accelerates
The changes to the Yo-Yo Ma fight were good because it shortened a boring fight. I also loved the changes to the Sports Maxx fight and they were among some of the best. Disappointed that the Sixth Sense spoiler and Michael Jackson dialogue were removed, but they involved copyrighted material, so it’s understandable. The Jailhouse Lock fight was annoying and dragged out, so any omissions are more than welcome.
I like yoyoma being so long. I think thats part of the point that theres just some thing sitting with u as it slowly plots ur demise
The changes for the start of the Yo-Yo Ma fight are great, reading the manga i found it very hard to understand what was going on regarding the stands appearance and the stop of the bloom
It sucks we don't get to see the extended fights with whitesnake and Jolyne's tactics to hide from the guards and her extended backstory, honestly not a fan of the freedom they're giving themselves with that, but everything else is a plus, and pacing is pretty great
Can't wait to see giorno three half brothers in the anime for the third batch
please don't spoil in the comments

@@jo2399 too many dumbasses in the comments, best to just not look at them if you haven’t read it
22, 23 and 24 might be my favorite Jojo episodes ever
Foo Fighters was the best girl and her death almost made me cry
I wonder if the "It's been a While, Romeo" chapter is gonna be the first thing we see in the next & final batch
I assume that is when it will be shown. Perhaps Jolyne will pay a visit to Romeo on her way, and she will also reminisce the time she was arrested when she was 14.
Hamon beat posting this two days before the anime release: I don’t need to sleep I need to spray jojo
It was a great batch, but I'm still very disappointed by the lack of new OP.
4:52 Yo imagine making a change to how something looked in part 1 because of a few shots of a boat 5 parts in the future. That's next level adaptation right there.
1:47 tray jolyne, my beloved
Damn David Pro just created a huge plot hole
Why would they have an issue of Pink Dark Boy in Florida? Rohan never released an english version! 😡😡
