This is the best ultra running documentary I've ever seen. As a kiwi living in Scotland, seeing the importance of our unique culture that our Māori have gifted to us and our incredible landscape has cemented a desire to make Tarawera my goal. I've run through the Redwoods and around Tikitapu/Blue Lake in multiple events and my family live in Tauranga so seeing Adrian train and race on these familiar trails that I consider wā kāinga was extra special. Now to wipe my tears and get to work.

More incredible and emotional than all the other 100s I've watched. In the Tour de France and other grand tours, they have an unofficial award for the rider who manages to survive 2000+km and come in last. But their achievement is nothing like this. Truly beautiful flim and very moving.

It’s frustrating cut offs are there for safety most times, but can be so restrictive, it’s not like he was walking along taking his time.. he was running it. Well done matey.. not sure I’d make within cutoffs with all the training in the world, I’m still just a plodder.

I was very happy to stumble across this when on a cross trainer at the gym. I've run 25 marathons and run / walked a few ultras too so am well versed with endurance events. What really hit home was the element of teamwork with his family and friends and as my wife and daughter have almost always been there for me for my events, it really struck a nerve with me. I'm also a big fan of Maori culture and hearing how his ancestors were watching over him at various times in the run struck a chord with me too....finally....hats off to the Race Director....a good job well done. I'm training currently, building up towards Chicago Marathon in October and this will be a video I'll use for inspiration often when on the treadmill

After seeing you struggle and digging deep to finish I know I can do this, even if I have to grind those gears of mine to powder and survive only on will power alone.
