Not seen all of your videos, only just found the channel an hour ago, but one thing I haven't seen you cook that I make every week is lasagne. I make my own wraps to use as pasta sheets (which work better too) and it comes to like 50p per adult XL portion, a bit more if you want minced meat in it instead of lentils.
Brill video, I also wing it hen cooking and have just list of ingredients without the method, drives my daughter mad, but as I say I know how to cook it just need to know ingredients. More videos like this please. I'm cooking a lot a mixed bean casserole, main ingredients are 2 leeks or onions, 500g tin of mixed beans, 2 tins of tomatoes but I only ever use one. I then add what ever I find in fridge, so todaay it will be some mushrooms and broccli that need using up, carrot, I also love garlic and a stock cube. I wing everytime so it is different. Only me who eats it so it will do me 4 or 5 days. The Jack Monrone carrot, cumin and kidney bean burgers are brill as well. 1 tin of kidney beans, 1 onion 1 carrot corridander and cumin
Yeah! I watch other recipe videos, not to follow step by step but to give some more ideas! I find getting new ideas is the tough part!! 😂 Thanks for watching! 🌻💛🌻
@@ameliasfrugallife Love watching you, wish I had been more like you at your age (I'm 59) there was scope back then if you knew what you were doing I forgot to say you need to add about half a can of water to the casserole. I'm just making mine now, found a mild chilli season packet i cupboard that is veggie and has sept 2022 on so using it up to give it a different taste
@@suzannerobertson416 thank you so much! Well I saw my parents go through bankruptcy a little after getting married so that set my frugal ways in stone as I never wanted to go through that! 🌻💛🌻
Really glad I discovered that you'd made this video as I noticed it was recipes for dishes that you made for your budget video, so that meant along with the rest there's a guide for how to make your wraps which I'm thrilled about, thanks! :) 🥙🍲🍝
Will definitely have to try your mushroom bologneise! I've never thought about adding paprika in the sauce, and sounds really delicious. Really yummy meals!
I love making savoury oat pancakes 🥞 I blitz/ blend2 cups of rolled oats till flour.. I add to the flour garum masala, cumin, chili, onion powders Then add a beaten egg and water till a batter. After I cook the pancakes 🥞 I spread honey and a sprinkle of ginger powder. 😋
Lovely thank you I just brought one of them flat pans from a boot fare havnt used it yet .j saw a nither channel they used sweet potato and flour and oil .you knocked yours up quickly made it look easy so I'm going to try it loved the meals x
That’s amazing to hear! It takes a a few times to get the knack of rolling the dough and knowing what texture is best but once you figure that out its soooo worth the extra time! 💛🌻💛
Thank you for the inspiring videos. I have made the wraps before and 100 percent agree with you. Much better than store bought. I'm going to make more now because of your video!! Thanks.
Thank you so much Amelia, brilliant meal ideas and I'm definitely going to be trying these out. Are you Vegan/Vegetarian at all? Would love to see more recipes xx
I heard you mention cashew cheese in one of your videos, ive now watched so many that i can't remember whitch one. Have you uploaded how you make it, i definitely want to give it a try.
I have a question: most of these meals have basically the same ingredients. Does each one have its own distinct flavor or do they all taste familiar? I’m enjoying your videos. I’m from, Georgia, USA. You are doing a great job. 🎉
I find they all taste really individual because I just by tweaking a couple herbs and spices it brings a whole different taste to the dish and what you serve it with makes all the difference. Pasta, rice, potatoes and wraps I feel all taste really different and you can of course add extra toppings for an additional cost (like condiments, cheeses etc). Thanks so much! I really appreciate it! 🌻💛🌻
About time a budget meal channel makes tortillas instead of wasting $2-3. I immediately click off those who buy tortillas. Why canned beans instead of dried? Save the bean liquid for a future next dish that needs a bean flavor when you don't have any.
Thank you! Homemade wraps are so much better too! 😍 So Aldi doesn’t actually sell dried beans in the UK only tinned and that’s where I do my shopping mostly. And I’ve found that in the UK it’s hard to find dried beans for a good price unless you buy HUGE bags which I can’t unfortunately store easily. I watch USA videos and am always jealous of the amazing selection of beans that are in them stores there! 😂 💛
@@bettyir4302 I can find dried beans (mainland Europe, though not at every store), but it's not necessarily cheaper (depending on the type of bean) when I take into consideration how much I'd end up with when cooked and how long I'd have to ccok them for and how much I'd have to pay for electricity.
Fantastic recipes
Thank you 🌻💛🌻
The fajitas are so easy!
Great video, please continue
Thank you 💛🌻💛
Really enjoying your channel. Love your healthy recipes and commitment to frugality.
