One thing i learned is don't turn any work down when you are starting out (so long as its honest and they'll pay) Pride don't put food on the table. I went changing lamps in supermarkets and cleaning out the bug zappers in their bakery depts! Kept me above water for the first year or so!
Bill people on site and get paid, pleanty of people will pay on site that will give you the runaround later on.
Buy you truck cash, so no worries about payments.

Good luck Eddie, I'm sure you'll do very well. It's always tough to start with, but customers will trust you when they can see you know your stuff & can provide a service, no one said it's easy mate, but hang in there.

Great video Eddie and congrats on your new company !! I'm gulty of not finishing the heat load calc video as I had a call to go on. been busy and haven't got back to it, but rest assured, I will watch it in its entirety as I do all of them. Keep up the great work !! Take care, Brett
the best of luck to you on the new business. its been rough for me many times but i have pulled through. if you treat customers right they will call on you again and refer you to others also. to stay busy i took on plumbing and a lil electrical work also on top of my main service in refrigeration and hvac. sometimes you have to branch out to make ends meet but never do you have to sacrifice quality. thats the best part of being your own boss!

Seriously though there is a thing to compare your retention to the average and mine were about average so seems to be the norm for people to not watch all the way through.
Often i'll watch a vid on my phone over breakfast but will comment after work so don't always watch all the way through second time.

I've been in business for myself for 8 years and have been doing load calculations for 7. I watched your load calc vid all the way through. You have a good handle on it. The compass thing has got me?

I've been talking to Fritz about how to produce better quality videos by tightening up the frame, white balance and better lighting, this is just something else that I want to improve on. Its all about the professional image.

Congrats on going on your own I know you will do great. I have been using the sonic tape measures for years and I love them. Is that the one from craftsman that shoots the laser bullseye? Keep the videos coming.

That would make for a good video, I just have to figure out how to shoot it because I don't have access to any Heat Pumps with Electric Heat right now.
I could just draw it out but I've found that when I do the drawins prople skip through it so I need to have the equipment hooked up to get better attention.

The dealer for them in Louisville never has what you need in stock, its always "we can order it for you" and that will not work for me..
I will have to work on the "Toughing Out" part. That does not compute with me lol
It does shoot the laser. I have a couple of them and they work great. I also have the ultra sonic but I like the laser ones better myself..

Ill have to check that theme out. I'm currently building one with one of their quick start formats but its has some pretty wide side bars that are just open space and I'm not too fond of that. Loving the vids Eddie, I'm definitely learning with each one. Do it right or don't do it at all.

Eddie go back and beg for your job back now's not the time to start a business you're in love with the idea of fixing air conditioners you would be good at technical training and troubleshooting for any large company
