To be honest I have seen both vehicle on vdos and live as well. Hunter looks damn good and Ronin looks awkward in vdos. But when I saw Ronin live on road it is so damn premium looking machine.
Can't deny the fact that tvs ronin screams of high quality right front every nut and bolt to the entire build. I took a test ride and absolutely fell in love with the bike. So comfortable and confidence inducing machine.
After riding classic 350 for 7 years.. purchased Ronin week back.. And it's breath of fresh air.. Amazing bike.. Awesome performance .. engine refinement 🔥 and ride quality is another level...fyi iam re fan boy but Ronin is great... Take a test ride!
Congratulations. Which variant did you purchase. I took a test ride and loved it but I did not like the colors in top variant. I am thinking about going with the base variant which has better color options. But the only downside is doesn’t have dual channel ABS.

My vote also goes for Ronin but if we could chop the front mud guard and back mud guard long ....and those electrical boxes elegant ....and shorter exost pipe ...noone ....I repeat noone will come close to Ronin.....TVS has just made one wrong decision by giving it three characters....that's all my lovely reader😉
But I think TVS is not at all serious in their marketing part...I am from Kolkata visited several times in nearest TVS showroom for Ronin Top model...but still they are not available in showrooms...the showroom staffs are very lazy and even yawning...they can't compete with RE's sales strategy...got atlest 10 calls from them to book Hunter...
I personally feel Hunter looks more proportionate than Ronin. On the other hand, Ronin seems to have better road presence than Hunter due to that big tank and golden usd forks. I am yet to ride both of these bikes but I feel more inclined towards Hunter because of that long stroke engine. Believe me guys, long stroke engines are boon to have if you like that laid back leisure kind of rides. Whereas with it's square engine that is aiming to give low end pull, Ronin seems to be a confused product to me at least. Coming to the review, this one felt a bit biased. Sure Ronin has more features/tech behind it and Hunter feels a bit too basic. But and a big BUT, that has always been the case with REs for generations Dino, and with all the REs in every budget. REs were never good on papers, never will be I guess. Even a 100/125cc bike might look better built and better equipped at times against most of the budget REs. RE heads know all of this but they are very specific about what they want. This would have been a better review if it was a ride comparo. As they say, bikes are not ridden on papers but on roads.
Agreed, since Ronin has slippery clutch and fun to ride in any road condition, and it can do light offroad.. without looking any additional features only ride quality, Its still better than Hunter.

This comparison shouldn't be at the first place because both bikes are from different segment (Ronin doesn't even come in any segment as claimed by tvs) and having different cc engines, still people are comparing both just in terms of pricing, so if we had started this comparison we should look at each and every aspect.

I think you had forgotten to mention the Chain Guard in TVS Ronin. It is a very helpful equipment which helps to maintain the chain health and service cost.
RE is like Apple mobile, brand value matters. Ronin is value for money, no compromise bike. If you want to carry that prestigious brand value feeling go with Hunter. If you want genuine user experience for every rupee you spent, Ronin is the choice.
Ronin anyday, the only problem with ronin is DC ABS being available only on top variant, it should have been standard or available in the medium variant as well Rest buil quality and tech etc of ronin is way ahead

Dino Bhai you missed very Important feature of Ronin Silent start when you started for exhaust note, where as Hunter still has ignition start sound and Ronin has GTT (Glide Through Traffic) and in High gear too Ronin doesnt give jerks on slower speed which you himself shown in Goa Test ride😀. I doubt Hunter has those things.
I saw Ronin at showroom & found it's an awesome looking machine. I believe due to RE brand cult following & product promotions RE Hunter is going to outsell TVS Ronin. Unfortunately timing for the product launch was not right for TVS. They should have launched it at least one year back to create a good base.
Sorry for your view and pls check hunter booking as against ronin. No doubt ronin offers more features like USD front forks, alloys and digital display even in base variant but lacks in looks department. Also hunter is way better in comparison to this. If ronin launched with 310cc engine then no doubt its a clear winner but till such time it will struggle to sell in front of hunter
I own a Ronin and after the launch of Hunter , i frankly felt that maybe I made a wrong decision but after watching dino bhai's vdo differences have been put fwd really well and the quantity truly gives an edge to Ronin also I would like to add is the superb average of 45-47 kmpl which i am getting currently , and it's really gem of a machine.
U too great decision…. Today we need features and quality and ronin fulfil these requirements….. and RE still comes with no latest features and 350cc engine in this price segment…. People must prefer ronin as per milage and amazing in every aspect ….. i am ronin owner as well 550+ kms driven
My friend owns earlier version of Apache 200 and the bike had met two serious accidents and to our surprise both the times the bike had almost no damage just some dents on crash gaurd and it was as good as before crash and even drove well at good speeds. The build quality and the premium materials TVS use on thier bikes is class apart in the segment.
Ronin for the win if you consider all the practicality and features , only an RE sheep will fall for the Hunter which is basically a downgraded Classic.
Personally I feel very biased review. Hunter went through dirt, and Ronin looked just washed and polished. Then comparing with base model? Sir you look very knowledgeable, and far experienced. No offence, just sharing my observation. Thanks for the video 🙏
Agreed. I myself have placed an order for ronin but looking at this review, it felt so biased. When you review something professionally, you cannot compromise on the little details. I wanted to hear good things about ronin and I know it is a great choice but never wanted a biased review.
I liked both RE hunter & TVS Ronin..!!! Took test ride lately & was bit confused with many different aspect of the nature these both machine possesses..!!! But hey, let me tell one thing like a rock solid statement when u look at engine refinement, built quality & technology TVS is at least 10 years ahead of what RE is today..!!! I had absolute joy riding the hunter too but it failed to impress me with the exposed wires, old school indicators which again is subjective to the liking but for the premium you pay Ronin is just at par with everything you ask for..!! Yes that extra cc from RE do help in the performance aspect but practically speaking we all ride the bikes mostly between 90-100 kph mark in the Indian roads & in this both Ronin & RE engine won’t disappoint..!! One gets slightly punchy performance & other get a bit liner pull again subjective to the liking..!!! I never had an idea of looking towards ronin whatsoever before I test ride the bike itself & boy it was an instant fan moment for me with Ronin..!!! Great bike, excellent tractability & Amazing weight distribution..!!! Hunter is great but just not value for what you get with the premium you pay is what I believe..!!!
It would be pretty cool if you could do a 4 way comparison between RE Hunter 350, Honda H'ness 350, Yezdi Roadster and Jawa 42 nearly all of these bikes are roadsters and all fall under the 350cc section.
TVS did put better quality, more updated elements and stylish looks for the price where RE offering the basics.... seems to be RE might be investing their money on advertising and sales people salaries.... while TVS concerned about customer and quality
Dekho bhai simple baat hai, TVS's Value for money product is far better than RE's shitty product... Already have 3 REs and their built quality is cheap... So Ronin is way better in an every aspect 🔥
Ronin's charm will fade away with time, but the hunter will look and remain the same for years to come because simple is beautiful and RE screams macho and hippie.
Bhai, I was going to Book the Keeway 250 kLite, then Dropped it after your Review about the Vibration. I then considered RE Hunter but in one of the reviews on uTube by another uploader I saw how the RE Hunter Mirrors were Vibrating so much that they couldn't even see the Rear Traffic 😅. Finally Tuesday I booked the Ronin, the wait time in Bangalore is 45 days though but I am OK to wait and really do not care about the Resale Value 😉 By the way, Happy 75th Independence Day. Ronin is totally a new segment bike with different engine by itself. Whereas Hunter is just a another variant of 350 Engine since Classic. of course the J series is an improvement. This is my view. otherwise both are good bikes to ride.
TVS is working really hard all the products they are launching after lockdown are best at affordable price , even my Xpulse don't have disc break calliber gurard to avoid dust mud .
Superb video and a precise comparison, sir. TVS two wheelers are better in features, ride quality and safety. Dual channel ABS, slipper clutch, and to some extent ride mode do make a difference. I just wish some two wheeler company of our country manages to provide a Harley like exhaust note. Wish hee toh hai, right? 😊
That's common for any new engine bro. I have a RTR 200 and when I took it home from showroom on the first day, it spit heat like a dragon. It gradually got reduced and after like 2500kms there is barely any heat at all. As far as oil cooling goes, TVS does the finest job in the indian market among all the other companies and you can have my word on that, except for maybe the gixxer.
Tbh i have seen both vikes side by side on road and by any means i don't find Ronin attractive.... biggest turn off is it's headlamp and off-set speedometer. Colour schemes are catchey in Ronin but Meteor Dapper Grey looks amazing just amazing
A biased review ...If the middle variant of the Ronin had dual channel abs, it would be value for money 1.68 for the colour scheme, and BT (which most of will not use on a regular basis) USB port is also an accessory I don't think this was a fair comparison Not a RE FAN never ridden a TVS or RE

Bro I can cover what is available with me. Company gave basic model for long term, so I can only compare what's available. TVS gave top spec model for compare. Even in the review, I have underscored that this is basic model but the difference is not night and day, only dual tone colors and Speedo Console. Even navigation module is add on extra.
I think this video is paid by TVS , FYI iam not a RE fan but here he is showing hunter low end instead of top end , top end is very sexy already done with test riding in heavy traffic i feel iam raiding a city made bike ( light weight comparing with other RE bikes and easy to maneuver ) my opinion is if you want features go for Ronin without any doubt, if you want looks hunter is very sexy, Iwant looks so i pre-booked hunter already

Aj maine Ronin ki test ride liya...a very good bike....but I noticed a problem. After 4000 rpm it feels disturbing vibrations in my upper leg from the fuel tank. Literally I was not able to grab the tank with my legs after 4000rpm. I don't know whether it is a problem only on that bike which I have ridden. Kindly confirm it.
This review already feels skewed. Ronin is a feature rich bike no doubt about it but hunter metro is just stunning. Ronin doesn't know what it is and looks akward from side and back. Hunter has the right profile.
Annachi..... You forgot to highlight how exposed the ignition key slot piece looks in Hunter compared to Ronin and also the wiring loom in RE is a big mess just thrown here and there near the front suspension.

But the RE guys have taken their dominance for granted.. they have no respect for the buyers .. the same specifications painted into a new bike which is extremely low coming from RE... They better get their act together or else they might fade away before they realise... Competition is building and they are offering better vehicles...RE in turn offering crap vehicles...

Ronin's only issue is that the first and second half doesn't matches,seems like both parts were designed by two different person than just glued together.
Is it by design you are comparing the top TVS version to RE base ?..RE Metro options looks so so far better whereas TVS may have better build quality, but the design is bad...Headlights on TVS do not match the retro style of the bike...for me RE does it..
Ronin looks like it is made in the inspiration of sci fi movies and re hunter looks like a retro styled street scrambler...And bit of Cafe rider style...🔥🔥 I love the retro varient than metro for its retro look and full black colour.... Definitely Royal Enfield hunter 350 because bigger engine capacity and more torque than Ronin which best for highway rides, for comfortable ride and for Triumph Bonneville looks.
Well I like the hunter better ,reasons being it sticks better to the retro theme led light are good for show but at night u wish u had a halogen so that doesn't attract me and Ronin looks a bit awkward when put next to the hunter, i havnt rode the Ronin bt I loved riding the hunter thing pulls sweet from 40 on 5th gear all the way up ,and the comparison here isn't much fair better put metro for comparison retro is 1.5 ex showroom and metro is 1.63 ig soo it's much fairer with metro

Although Hunter 350 is lightest RE but Ronin is ever more lighter. 20KGS lighter than Hunter and feels more premium.
And Ronin is having more metal parts than hunter but still ronin is 20kg lighter.

Ronin for the win if you consider all the practicality and features , only an RE sheep will fall for the Hunter which is basically a downgraded Classic.
Personally I feel very biased review. Hunter went through dirt, and Ronin looked just washed and polished. Then comparing with base model? Sir you look very knowledgeable, and far experienced. No offence, just sharing my observation. Thanks for the video 🙏

Agreed. I myself have placed an order for ronin but looking at this review, it felt so biased. When you review something professionally, you cannot compromise on the little details. I wanted to hear good things about ronin and I know it is a great choice but never wanted a biased review.

I liked both RE hunter & TVS Ronin..!!! Took test ride lately & was bit confused with many different aspect of the nature these both machine possesses..!!! But hey, let me tell one thing like a rock solid statement when u look at engine refinement, built quality & technology TVS is at least 10 years ahead of what RE is today..!!! I had absolute joy riding the hunter too but it failed to impress me with the exposed wires, old school indicators which again is subjective to the liking but for the premium you pay Ronin is just at par with everything you ask for..!! Yes that extra cc from RE do help in the performance aspect but practically speaking we all ride the bikes mostly between 90-100 kph mark in the Indian roads & in this both Ronin & RE engine won’t disappoint..!! One gets slightly punchy performance & other get a bit liner pull again subjective to the liking..!!! I never had an idea of looking towards ronin whatsoever before I test ride the bike itself & boy it was an instant fan moment for me with Ronin..!!! Great bike, excellent tractability & Amazing weight distribution..!!! Hunter is great but just not value for what you get with the premium you pay is what I believe..!!!
It would be pretty cool if you could do a 4 way comparison between RE Hunter 350, Honda H'ness 350, Yezdi Roadster and Jawa 42 nearly all of these bikes are roadsters and all fall under the 350cc section.

Remove the rear mudguard from ronin and change mirrors to barend one. The new look will be lovely to eyes in this red color especially 😀
TVS did put better quality, more updated elements and stylish looks for the price where RE offering the basics.... seems to be RE might be investing their money on advertising and sales people salaries.... while TVS concerned about customer and quality

Dekho bhai simple baat hai, TVS's Value for money product is far better than RE's shitty product... Already have 3 REs and their built quality is cheap... So Ronin is way better in an every aspect 🔥

Ronin's charm will fade away with time, but the hunter will look and remain the same for years to come because simple is beautiful and RE screams macho and hippie.
But the Ronin doesn't seem to be proportionate, in the long run the Hunter's design will last the test of time as it looks like a baby Bonniville.
Bhai, I was going to Book the Keeway 250 kLite, then Dropped it after your Review about the Vibration. I then considered RE Hunter but in one of the reviews on uTube by another uploader I saw how the RE Hunter Mirrors were Vibrating so much that they couldn't even see the Rear Traffic 😅.
Finally Tuesday I booked the Ronin, the wait time in Bangalore is 45 days though but I am OK to wait and really do not care about the Resale Value 😉

Retro doesn't look good.
Ronin is totally a new segment bike with different engine by itself. Whereas Hunter is just a another variant of 350 Engine since Classic. of course the J series is an improvement. This is my view. otherwise both are good bikes to ride.

TVS is working really hard all the products they are launching after lockdown are best at affordable price , even my Xpulse don't have disc break calliber gurard to avoid dust mud .
Superb video and a precise comparison, sir. TVS two wheelers are better in features, ride quality and safety. Dual channel ABS, slipper clutch, and to some extent ride mode do make a difference. I just wish some two wheeler company of our country manages to provide a Harley like exhaust note. Wish hee toh hai, right? 😊

It's surely Ronin. But I've heard Ronin is having heating issue after 100/150km. Not sure about Hunter in that regard. Please shed some light on that.
That's common for any new engine bro. I have a RTR 200 and when I took it home from showroom on the first day, it spit heat like a dragon. It gradually got reduced and after like 2500kms there is barely any heat at all. As far as oil cooling goes, TVS does the finest job in the indian market among all the other companies and you can have my word on that, except for maybe the gixxer.

Tbh i have seen both vikes side by side on road and by any means i don't find Ronin attractive.... biggest turn off is it's headlamp and off-set speedometer. Colour schemes are catchey in Ronin but Meteor Dapper Grey looks amazing just amazing

A biased review ...If the middle variant of the Ronin had dual channel abs, it would be value for money

Bro I can cover what is available with me. Company gave basic model for long term, so I can only compare what's available. TVS gave top spec model for compare. Even in the review, I have underscored that this is basic model but the difference is not night and day, only dual tone colors and Speedo Console. Even navigation module is add on extra.

I think this video is paid by TVS , FYI iam not a RE fan but here he is showing hunter low end instead of top end , top end is very sexy already done with test riding in heavy traffic i feel iam raiding a city made bike ( light weight comparing with other RE bikes and easy to maneuver ) my opinion is if you want features go for Ronin without any doubt, if you want looks hunter is very sexy, Iwant looks so i pre-booked hunter already

It’s not honest feed back if u watch closely from the start of video his motive is to dump hunter in every aspect instead of a fair comparison. Test drove both bikes back to back and take a call.

Clearly projects that it is a paid and biased review… not at all detailing or skipping aspects where Re has edge over tvs like torque , engine etc..

Owns a ronin. Only one problem till now i felt is bit more vibration at tank after 4000. Apart from that i love this beast.

Aj maine Ronin ki test ride liya...a very good bike....but I noticed a problem. After 4000 rpm it feels disturbing vibrations in my upper leg from the fuel tank. Literally I was not able to grab the tank with my legs after 4000rpm. I don't know whether it is a problem only on that bike which I have ridden. Kindly confirm it.

Annachi..... You forgot to highlight how exposed the ignition key slot piece looks in Hunter compared to Ronin and also the wiring loom in RE is a big mess just thrown here and there near the front suspension.
I'm personally an RE fan.. But the RE guys have taken their dominance for granted.. they have no respect for the buyers .. the same specifications painted into a new bike which is extremely low coming from RE... They better get their act together or else they might fade away before they realise... Competition is building and they are offering better vehicles...RE in turn offering crap vehicles...

Ronin's only issue is that the first and second half doesn't matches,seems like both parts were designed by two different person than just glued together.
Is it by design you are comparing the top TVS version to RE base ?..RE Metro options looks so so far better whereas TVS may have better build quality, but the design is bad...Headlights on TVS do not match the retro style of the bike...for me RE does it..

Don’t get me wrong I also totally feel the equipment like head lights, console etc on RE is outdated and don’t like their cost cutting but the TVs design is somewhat wierd.
RE used to give halogen light instead because to give retro feeling and it word very well.

I test rode both and felt ronin was way better in every way than hunter.
Well I like the hunter better ,reasons being it sticks better to the retro theme led light are good for show but at night u wish u had a halogen so that doesn't attract me and Ronin looks a bit awkward when put next to the hunter, i havnt rode the Ronin bt I loved riding the hunter thing pulls sweet from 40 on 5th gear all the way up ,and the comparison here isn't much fair better put metro for comparison retro is 1.5 ex showroom and metro is 1.63 ig soo it's much fairer with metro
