This is the best pre-battle lines i have heard in any video game scene that i have played.
The fact that Death alone, without the power granted by the Charred council to serve the balance, outmatched a fully powered Samael, one of the most powerful demon lords, before his fall, shows how strong a Nephilim is and how giant of a threat an army of them posed to all of creation.
Death is the best of them tho, he beat him on merit, his skills were better, if death had been full powered, Samuel would have been defeated instantly
@Nephilim Lord War is the strongest, but Death is the most powerful amongst the 4, hence his position as leader. Also the most level headed and calculating.
You don’t beat him. Your playing his game. He lets you leave. Only way to defeat him is the Dark prince or the 4 jumping him.

The fast pace combined with the soundtrack made this fight one of the most memorable encounters in games I've seen.

Why do people debate who the strongest horsemen is. It's clearly stated that Death is and he is the oldest and their leader. When War went bananas Strife and Fury couldn't hold him off and then Death arrives and War stabbed Death through the stomach/chest and Death just glared at him unamused and cut of his right arm which is why he now has that badass huge gauntlet. Death is the strongest. He doesn't even have a fraction of his power in this game.

Hell, DS3 fucking started with Fury saying she will do the job IF the council MAKES her the leader(Why would she ask to be a leader if she is already). Maybe you could have google it. The whole point of the game is her overcoming her own sins(part of which is understanding why she is unfit to be a leader why death should keep his position as leader)

Ingame he is the oldest, the most wise, the most experienced, the strongest, both physically and mentally. He is both cold enough to be always cool and think strategically, but still has enough emotions to be sensible

Death with all his qualities would work better as a council to Fury than a leader, I don't care how much you like the guy or how cool he is, he's not leader material you like it or not.

Samael is delusional as fuck if he thought he could take all the four horsemen at once,Death kicked his ass by himself without being at full power and Samael was at full power,no wonder War showed no fear of Samael when he got in his face after regain his full strength by eating all the heart's of the chosen.

oh I remember going Necromancer full on geting as much arcane power as possible .. I just used Ghouls one time and few hits and any boss was down. The Final boss i did in about 5 seconds.
Wow, here Samael really look monstrous, not even "The Beast" from Angel TV Show looked like a monster like him, here he look more like a demon than a fallen Angel.

and he ends up right saying "a hero dies" . Death sacrifices himself to revive mankind. How touching from a reaper like character. Shame DS3 ended up bad but still enjoyable

What I've been trying to figure out for a while is how did Samael know Death was not there at the Council's behest or anyone's, as soon as Death stepped through the door? Is he telepathic? That would make him even more scary.
he has a degree of omnicience, it was stated in the first darksiders when War wondered how did he known what he was doing from his prison.
When i played that game i didn't realized who Samael is and thought Satan would appear in the third game 😂😂
Venom samael isn’t satan actually. Satan appears on the after credit scene of this game and is referred to as the dark prince where we don’t actually see his face. Darn his the ruler of all forces of hell but some forces are not loyal to satan such as Samael. The council actually ordered that Samael be the next in line for hell as Satans time ruling was running short(what they said). However Satan is not willing to give up the throne while Samael wants the throne to rule hell the way he envisions it. Satan is the most powerful demon of hell while samael is probably second. Lucifer was the one who sent the horsmens mother(mother of the nephilim) to create the scheme of trapping the angel hellguard turning abbadon into the destroyer and convincing death to resurrect the nephilim which he did not. Death instead chose to resurrect humanity in order to save his brother from judgement. This pissed off the dark prince(aka satan) which led him to torture Lilith in the after credit scene of darksiders 2 telling her “and this time you’ll get no pleasure from it” as she screams in agony.

Shadow's edge was quite disappointing. A lot of time creators spent on Makers lands, even more of Dead kingdom, little less for Angel's realm and absolutely none for Demon's one. First time I started that mission with the idea I will play it a few days, like the previous ones. I was so surprised I ended it for hour or something, I mean, so rushed.
The last two maps were probably rushed tbh always felt like this game was messing a extra boss but it was a great game 😂 for my school breaks

Fury woulda toppled over the minute she saw samael in battle. Shes soooo fkn weak in DS3 and shes the only horseman sent on a sanctioned mission so why is she the weakest of the 3?
Because she lacks both physical power and isn't as smart as Death.
Death is immortal, oldest and wisest among the four. He chopped War's arm and defeated Absalom, which Samael said stronger than all Horseman combined

With the items the lord of the hollow gave to fury, she tanked the power of the council who are nigh omnipotent and lucifer even showed concerns. She even defeated Envy who was toying with the council and had the powers of the 3 horsemen combined.
@@atitana you are the one wrong here. Fury's whip only keep War's arm like a rope, while Death cut his arm using that very Chaoseater sword. In case you don't know, Chaoseater killed Abaddon, thats a very powerful sword, but it did not do shits to death.
Also, you were mistaken about Envy's power. Eny mimics Horsemen traits, not use all power combined. Its quite understandable since Watchers are strong enough to keep Horsemen in leash.
Fury lost the battle when she tried to capture War, things only changed when Death arrived. Death also deals with the most amount of Nephilim's deaths, killed Absalom champion of chaos, Death literally immortal as shown in comics. He is the leader and holds the responsibility of actual grim reaper, which he usually collect souls. Thats how strong he is.
Also, don't forget that Charred council can grant power, but they are not the omnipotence. There are kingdom of the dead, the well of souls and other forces that miles above Charred council.
@@iloveanothermanswives4278 Everything you said is wrong, it was her whip that cut war's arm and the armageddon sword killed Abaddon not chaoseater. Death got stabbed and was stunned in place and couldn't do anything after getting stabbed. Strife and Fury stopped war. The charred council are the most powerful beings in the lore, the reason fury survived is because she had the powers of their ex-member, the lord of the hollows who needed to harvest angel, demon, and human souls over the centuries to become as powerful as them. Go read the comic again.

Death said " Wisdom is a great gift, remember well " then chopped War's arm. Fury do anything ? Nah, she got knocked by War because she is far more slower than him. She failed to stop Chaoseater to stab Death. Luckily, Death is OP
Strife only stumbled in after War already got chopped.
Wrong tactic, my friend. Use ghouls at first part to hold him at place. Stay close to him and hit as much as you can only with scythes at second. For other part use secondary weapon. You waste so much effort hitting with scythes since he is bigger than Death.

Probably. The Riders are pretty powerful when sanctioned. They are the end all if need be. War, that tremendously out matched by Death, show no fear to Samael. Hek he wasnt even in his reaper from in the cut scenes where he already showed not shy in using it.
Maybe but has been stated that samael at full power is the second most powerful demon right next to Lucifer it would still take all four horsemen to take out samael which one of the reason in the graphic novel why all four warned samael about keeping the peace between hell and heaven rather than warning Lucifer and also since samael is next in line to rule hell the power was in samael favor

@Nephilim Lord Bruh.. Death lets War stab him on purpose to get Chaos Eater from him. Which then he uses it to rips Wars arm off. He could literally care less about being stab since he is nigh-immortal.
Also I shouldnt even have to explain myself further since its already stated that Death is the strongest and the most feared among all the horsemen.

No. That is not true. Samael is in fact more powerful than the 4 horsemen combined, at full power even. It would take the 4 to beat him. Samael was toying with Death. Samael only wanted to test Death. Him and Death have some common interest so he allowed him to live because the “enemy of my enemy is my friend.” Samael rivals the power of Lucifer himself and him and Lucifer are constantly fighting for power as the two top lords of hell, Lucifer being the top one and most powerful of course.
