Thank you so much for the great explanation of the 90. I’m in track driving school and have completed everything except this maneuver, however; excellent job explaining how to complete this can’t wait to get back to school to practice this! Thanks
I need similar instructions for backing up a single axle caravan into a gate with 100mm clearance on both sides and there is no full length of both tow vehicle and the van before it enters the gate. I wonder if it is possible at all.
Hello, this seems pretty challenging if it's possible, just like you said. That's pretty tight, so you will have to come in really straight and slow. I would like to know how it goes if you decide. Thanks again and I wish you the best!
Can you please explain better for my set up? My instructor mentioned 5 to 6 steps out and left out of the spot you are backing into. Sometimes it works but sometimes it doesnt . Im super confused atm.
Hi, and thanks for reaching out. We can go into detail if you like. I do personal training online via video. I'll attach a link where you can schedule a session with me. You can also inbox me at tyoung.18wms@gmail.com Here is the link. Thanks. maps.app.goo.gl/nQ2E6MzRUcRthfbV7
Great question! Only if you are pulling forward for corrections or if you're backing and the trailer is ready to go straight into the space. At this time, the truck is in line with the trailer, and it's straight back in this example.
Thanks for your comment. I simply like to add music I create to my videos. There's lots of distractions on the road, with us being our own distractions at times. If we can focus more on what's important, then we can all be safe and successful. I wish you the best.
@@18WMS True. That's cool. If you're wanting to challenge a person more to see if they can listen to music while listening to someone giving instructions right on. I prefer to focus 100 percent on the subject and study with only my thoughts. Keep up the good work.
@@zellcurry5661 I appreciate your response. I have some videos without music. I'm not challenging anyone in that regard, so let's stay on track. I am challenging myself and everyone else to be as safe as possible because I truly care. I'll take what you said in consideration. Thanks again, and stay safe!
Best advice ever. Your teaching skills are very good. You are the first instructor that tells where the tandem is supposed to be.
I thank you very much for your comments. I wish you a strong and successful career.

Excellent video.
Thanks for your comment. I wish you the best!
@@18WMS Is it the same for an alley dock?
The set up would be different depending on available space.
This really makes sense and is easy to understand. Thank you
Thanks for your comment, Jay! I hope this helps, and I hope things go well for you. I wish you the best.
Excellent Sir, again 5hank you for sharing Thomas ❤...
You're welcome. Thank you as well.
Thank you Thomas, I needed that after running out of time on my 1st cdl exam on this maneuver.
Did you get through that exam? I hope you did and are rolling now in a bib rig.
@@18WMS Yes sir! Second time was the charm, confidence is key.

Thank you for this informative short video. How about a 90-degree blind side is the same method .
You are very welcome, and I will work on the blindside one. I hope your day is going well and gets better.

@18WMS there is a slight slope, so the mover only works on the road
That is a great challenge!
👍👍👍
Good info! Cool demo!

At anytime do you turn the wheel back to center ?
Great question!

Hey, thanks for the compliment and requests. I will work on making those videos.

If you can figure out a way to show the wheels or the steering wheel would go a Long Way but good job.
Great point. I did think about that and may add a couple of clips in there. Thanks for your comment, and I wish you the best!
Stop the music please give us to focus when you talk👍
Thanks for your comment.
Why do you need the distracting music?
