The arch wiki is probably the greatest wiki on the internet, period. NGL.
I too used this wiki as a reference even for non-arch distros >.

I'm never switching from ArcoLinux (98% Arch) to any other distro ever!

    Nicely said!
Actually I started doing RUclips more seriously for a while just to share all the amazing knowledge you can gain about Linux just by reading the Arch Wiki for system installation and set up!
While there are a few problematic packages that broke a few times on my system, sticking to popular and relatively simple tooling can make all the difference.
Also, the Arch community is great. The problem is, that they have a very specific way of doing things (the forum is part of the documentation, so ask your questions in a way that will be helpful for others, etc.), which people don't expect, and get offended when their thread gets closed, or when asked for details, etc.

I made the decision to try daily driving Linux a few months ago when I built a new PC and got a couple of additional SSD's. I had no previous Linux experience and when researching distros I heard that Arch was the most documented distro. So I figured that if I have a problem I would have the highest likelihood of solving it on Arch.
I have not regretted installing with Arch yet.

I have the same opinion, and the more I use Arch Linux and occasionally retest other distros, the more it gets confirmed.

The Arch way kinda speaks to me but i can't help but wish for a release that's a bit less bleeding edge.

As someone who uses arch, I tried Debian to fix my issues of not loading into the sign in screen. Packages were not the same and it felt worse. Reinstalled arch 20 minutes later.

This channel is one of the best linux channels currently. Thanks for your work! Especially in the gaming area!
I agree, arch is always my safe place. I just wish I could fix the issue where after about 1 hour playing 7 days to die, the fps drop to about 20, and I need to reboot the game. Where the usual fps are about 120 on my rtx 3070. No temperature issues, no memory leaks, nothing. I can't figure why the fps drop with no reason. Doesn't matter using native vulkan or directx with proton

It's just a problem with the game itself, as far as I understand, some elements can't live a full life cycle

TL;DR version is: Arch is best cause you can configure the living shit out of it, and pacman is god. But you will cry and distrohop until you learn it. But if you can spend a weekend to config your arch you simply won't switch cause you will get attached, you made it, its 'yours'. I guess thats the mental reason behind it

I've got the exact same feeling after I've moved to Arch. I read somewhere that if you wish to be an advanced user and try arch, there is no going back.

As a total Linux noob, I only tried the "easier" Arch distros like EndeavourOS and GarudaOS, I'm on Nobara now. My #1 issue with Linux in general is, that my VPN randomly drops connection work after an hour or so, no matter the distro

I'd say the steam deck shows off a very good example of Arch being stable. I am excited to see you opinions on Fedora, and Nobara if you get a chance for that. Although you comments about liking the speed of pacman make me worried about what you are going to think about DNF

The Arch repo made me enjoy Linux like never before. On Ubuntu it always was such a hassle to add all these random repos which were either horrendously outdated or had signing issues. Using yay, you can easily enter a program you need and check if it's outdated or still maintained. Also installing developming tools like Android SDK is so much easier on arch and it makes you understand how all of it works. Sure, i wouldn't recommended it for Windows switchers that don't have any experience using Linux based distros but for someone who used and tested distros for more than 10 years, Arch Linux is just the best thing out there.

I've used Linux for around 2 years, and I am fully comfortable with it. It is my go to.

I personally prefer arch-based distro's. Maybe in future I would like to get more into the weeds of things, but for now something like Manjaro gives me all the benefits of Arch I like, without most of the hassle I had when trying Arch itself (it wasn't that much, I just didn't want to deal with it/learn at that moment).
For me the AUR is honestly the primary reason to not go for a non-arch distro in the future. I got tired on other distro's of seeing an AUR package that made what I want to do so easy, just to have it be somewhat difficult on mine, so I just thought, let's just switch so I can easily use the AUR.

Arch is the most vanilla Linux distro.
    No quirks no gimmicks.

Next time provide concrete examples of why what you want to achieve with Arch cannot be achieved with other distributions. All you've said is Arch is better than other distributions because it is.

20 mins of video and i saw 2 examples of why its better for you. Im not trying to say this is a bad video but, I saw nothing to persuade me to use arch or try it. Please be more descriptive of how its better aka examples not just talking. Im a new user to linux and i got zero information from this video. Not trying to be negative, Im trying to be constructive.

Why I switched to Arch Linux is because of the library dependencies problem. I also don't use forks anymore because they always annoyed me. The only Linux that is better than Arch in my opinion is Gentoo Linux.
