Looking back at this, Resident Evil 4's plot seems to have taken quite a bit from this game... President's daughter is kidnapped, infiltrate a castle of organised enemies. Rachel in this even says "Don't come!" to you just like Ashley said to Leon.
Honestly man brings a tear to my eye watching this. I honestly feel like this is more exciting than any games that come out today. Or is it just the nostalgia?
Favourite aspect of the series is how much the games just "get" the action movie aesthetic and all the fun there's to be had with it. This intro wouldn't seem that out of place in a theater with all the one-liners and explosions and names like "Richard Miller" and "Wild Dog."
