Best game of series ever
Seeing an arcade shooter game with a pedal was a such a massive talking point back then, plus this game was only single player, meaning your mates couldn't join in and were therefore limited to watching you and cheering you on! Many fun Saturday afternoons spent with this gem - thanks for uploading!

@AckzaTV Nobody lied to me, I had this arcade at my local pizza bar, there was a single gun only and no multi-player. The sequels introduced linked play, not the original game.

Damn! This brings me back to elementary school! My mom would drag me along to the store to grab groceries. I would catch a glipse of the arcade section of the store and watch people play this game while i grabbed a slice of pizza, waiting for my Mom to pay for everything, many would try, and few would succeed. I remember one dude getting to the last stage but never finishing the final boss. What a time
Still one of the best arcade games. Arcade halls around asia still have this game around...

I remember this in every arcade back in the early 00s the sound was so loud you could hear it across the arcade or if you wandered near it for the first it would scare the hell out of you.
Shame it was so short
Since they did the Remake of House of the dead I'd love to see this, Virtua Cop and Point Blank get a remake as well

I heard that Nintendo is doing a House of the Dead revival. I'd adore seeing a revival for the Time Crisis games, I'd get that set in a minute.

@@PloucTheDragon I'd adore seeing lightgun games come back, I'd adore playing Time Crisis again. Although more likely they'd alter it for the Switch to be some touch thing I imagine.

Of course I would want the look and sound of it to remain faithful to the original, but we definitely deserve a nice upgrade here, especially since all the other games from the second onward are leaps beyond this one in terms of how the graphics have held up.
@TheAeroAvatar For sure. I really want TC2 remastered, but I'd truly settle for just good old TIME CRISIS in shiny new mind-blowing detail. Kind of how they did "House of the dead Remake" and with a proper global score leaderboard, too.

Desses jogos de arma, Time Crisis é o que mais apareceu por aqui no Brasil.

I barely remember seeing the first Time Crisis game in the arcades when I was a kid. I only remember playing both Time Crisis 2, 3 and 4 along with all 4 House of the Dead games, Gauntlet Legends, Soul Calibur 2, the Simpsons Arcade, TMNT Turtles in Time and and few others. But I kinda saw Time Crisis 1 in an arcade when my High School class went to some waterpark in New Jersey
Haha deng. What the classic. I used 2 jam this after school. Glad 2 finally see that ending because i never passed stage 3 4 the entire time i played this arcade.
Now this brings back memories wow! I remember trying this when I was like 7/8 years old and struggled to beat the first boss!

Never actually seen the first game. By the time I was old enough to remember stuff, Time Crisis 3 was all over the place. Production values of this seemed insane for the time it was released almost seemed like a movie. 😂

I’m going to a place called NQ64 tomorrow (arcade gaming bar), hopefully if I remember, they have this machine. Played and beaten all other main entry games in arcades (2-5). This one…never even got a glance of it irl, so this’ll be special. Also while I’m really good at this series, I wonder how much this game will whoop my ass. There’s no crisis shot indicator, so I might randomly take damage and not even know it

Anyone shocked these games where never redone for VR? Keep the old graphics just make it vr.
Light gun shooters have a comparatively miniscule market outside of arcades. There really isn't that huge of an incentive for publishers to port them to home systems compounded by the fact these kind of games are incredibly linear and short.
PS1 version was very close to this, just a bit lower res really

So much cleaner than the PS1 port but you have to respect the port they did, it's pretty much all there... just a lot uglier :)
Of course it would not be time crisis with out the camp one liners and terrible voice acting. It gets better it the later games.
