That would be a fun club to have!! Go out after work, or a game, and play a quick four, five holes!! It would be nice to walk the fairway with only one club! Another great video Iona!

Often those at the pinacle don't have that empathy and foresight to think of attracting new followers. Love the content Iona, and it's so relaxing and therepeutic to watch and listen to.
It’s a lot of fun to play with. Like Phil said, you play it differently. Great to do once in a while. It teaches you to approach the game in an other way 👍
You are truly inspirational, Iona. And that comes from someone who has already been around this great game for a bit. You just keep being you, and the rest will take care of itself. Thank you!
I've been playing this club since December 2022 and it is super fun to play with. It is not a gimmick. It's a very playable club that (once you get used to it...) you can play quality shots with. In fact, the middle settings (5-9) have replaced the old Pings I've played with for years. The most surprising setting was the putter ('P'). You may have to adjust your technique a bit since it's 5* but you might be shocked by the results you get on the greens.
My only question would be how long does it hold up for because you're hitting anywhere from 65-120 shots per round with the same club essentially so I would assume it would need to replaced a whole lot more often
@@ndragon88 Really good question. From my own personal experience...I've played with the club for over 10 months now and have hit thousands of shots (both practice and play) with the club using nearly all of the 11 different settings and have had no problems whatsoever. I cannot speak for the designers of the club but my understanding (from reading some of their posts many months ago...) is that the spring mechanism used can tolerate billions of settings ("clicks") before wearing out. Obviously, the grip will wear out much sooner than a conventional grip because of the multi-purpose manner in which the club is used. Hopefully, the Q Golf people will see this post and chime in on this question.
@johnmule9419 oh I didn't even mean the clicking for the settings I meant the club face itself sorry I wasn't clear. I imagine they were very spot on making everything else last but the clubface you can only do so much right
Thanks for the fun video, Iona. Seems like a great way to break golf down into more manageable little windows of time (as you and Phil said). And I'll echo some of the other comments and say "Congrats and well done at the Ryder Cup!!"
You do stride off down the fairway Iona! Poor Phil was huffing and puffing to keep up. 🤣 Not the first adjustable club I’ve seen but certainly the best design!

I'd taken a break from golf (when I moved between continents) and am returning to it now. These videos are helping me find my game so much. Thanks Iona and team! x
This idea has come to fruition many times in the past with adjustable clubs. I would have poo pood the idea until now as due to long term ill health haven't been able to play since February. The idea of not having to set up a trolley and a set of clubs would be a very welcome one so I am up for purchasing this club . ❤❤❤❤
This would be a great club to carry with me when I walk my dog around the local courses for 3 or 4 holes. Living in rural Australia the courses around here are usually uninhabited on weekdays. Currently I just take one, usually an 8, or maybe tee off with a hybrid, put it back in the car and then go to the 8 iron for the rest.
I was thinking I would travel with it. The airlines are so notorious for damaging and losing clubs, but I could totally get into this for vacation golf. I don't care so much about score on those rounds, I'm tired, possibly playing with rented clubs anyway. At least I can hit this at the range before I leave town to get used to it a few times.
My aunty, had a club like that thirty odd years ago in Australia. She played golf with my uncle, carried that one club, a 10 cent coin to adjust it back then, some tees and a couple of ball, it got her out for a game. I have a photo somewhere of it.
I think this would be fun to put a 7i length shaft on to play around with. I realize the stronger loft shots wouldn't go as far but it'd make it quite easy for most people to hit.
I played with a fella years ago who mastered a similar club at a little executive course. He always shot around par. I couldn't get the hang of it, but was fun.
Looked at getting Q club but more than I want to pay but may just order the head option. Great job on the presentation at Ryder Cup Iona. An added surprise to a great finale 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Currently illegal for comp play, but fascinating - and yes, what a great club for beginners. (Suggestion - get the R&A to change the rule to "14 clubs including multiple adjustment settings. Changing setting must not unduly delay play") It's also squarely in the "single length set" camp, which is also pretty unusual. How does it feel, compared to a normal club - more hybrid than iron? (And Ping have just brought out a set that is basically all hybrids too).
Hi Mike Great suggestion ! Oddly we are not in a rush to make the club legal - submit it ... The PGA Tour is irrelevant to us - Our club is all about the 99.9999% of golfers who will never play the tour but may want a lighter way to play golf sometimes - or always

I have this club. With a regular flex shaft and extra weight of the head it's prone to the righties, especially off the tee. You can and should also change where you grip the club. There's 3 different areas on the grip so you can play reasonably close to a regular club of whatever loft. Putting, I find playing slightly back with forward lean helps clear the longer shaft from my body. I'm experimenting with using the arm-lock seeing as it is a longer shaft. Off the tee there's also a 'stinger' setting, which is halfway between the putter and hybrid= 11 degrees. Fun times!
I've communicated with the inventor and they are aware of the right bias the club has (a cut/fade/slice swing does not work very well with this club) and they are working on "adjustments" to the design (offset blade and more weight towards the heel, etc) that will make it more playable for folks that do not have a draw type swing. @@QGolfClub Not saying it isn't. But the hosts were marveling as if it were a new idea. Your version certainly seems better.
What golf course is going to allow me to walk on and play 3 holes, without paying for a full 9? Or are you talking about wealthy members of a golf club?
A wee lassie from the links. You sound a wee bit blocked up nasal in this Iona. 🤧⛳️
Put in a telescopic shaft so you can put it in your luggage
There is another adjustable club with a telescoping shaft. Rick Shiels tested one.
@@adrianmack3 I have one but the adjustment with a butterfly locking device doesn't work well. This one with the spring and using centrifugal force to lock in it seems a better solution
I’m a cofounder here at Q and I can share that we have a travel shaft option coming later in 2024, but we decided against the telescopic steel scenario because it’s kind of janky - sometimes works - and can even take a bit of skin off 😢
@@QGolfClublook forward to seeing your solution
Play the putter as a driver.
The "Q" club from Q Golf..
Iona is the best thing to happen to Sky Golf (along with Dame Laura) in a LONG time, time to ditch the 'tired' female deadwood
Did I finally make first comment
🎉😊
Great idea horrendous price point. Like you both say this could be a great way into golf but at £300 it’s absolutely not that
🕳
It is a ridiculous expensive club
Noooooo Please don't start doing any kinda club reviews..Your channel is unique because of it
This isn’t a review. Just a genuine moment between two golf nuts
@@ontheroadwithiona Oh OK, but it comes off as a review 😁imho, stick to you, your practice, your insightful interviews.. Even your whisky 🥃😁.. I remember those lock down videos in your back garden... And stretching.. Those too.. 😁👍
You’ll see this was actually part of a chasing the red episode that’s about to drop this week. Phil had so many fun golf things to show and share with me, we had the cameras rolling for content and I thought some people might like to see this idea, I’d never come across it before.
@@ontheroadwithiona Awesome. I'm looking forward to your next episode.
And when it brakes on the 3rd hole, basically the player is screwed. Ehmmm no thanks.
Iona, love your stuff, thanks so much. Really interesting, and could let me know if the "clubs" are on the market? Who makes it? Etc..
This looks to be a lot of fun, and I would love to walk a course again. I'm 74 and feeble, well lazy mostly. Carrying a bag of clubs, range finder, launch monitor, balls, towels, and whatever. You get my drift. I love playing golf, but...
Keep up the great work you do. I really enjoy it.
