PPF film is the way to go! Had my whole TTS done back in October when I purchased brand new. Expensive, but not one scratch nor nic in my 9 months of ownership

I’ve had all my new cars treated to PPF starting with an Elise in 2003 - no solution is perfect but this is by far the best IMO 🙂👍 I’ve tried Chipex too when needed - you need patience and a few attempts sometimes but it’s not too bad
Great video looks like a decent product! I've got so many chips in the front of my BMW 6 series I wanna make it pristine again! Scary times at 9:02 - I live along a NSL road, and 3 times in 10 years a parked car has been smashed into outside my house (luckily not my car on all 3 occasions). Weirdly though or maybe not weirdly, two of those three times have been a drink driver who had no idea they had been in a crash and tried to say it wasn't them!
That’s crazy so many times!

This is NOT criticism purely a suggestion from someone on the outside looking in .
On the front skirt , you used a 'gloved finger' to "press" the paint in , but seemed to get the same "mark" afterwards .
The finger-tip shape (print) inside the glove , perhaps ?
How would a piece of card / credit card dragged carefully across the paint surface perform : spread the paint equally / level ?
Then keep building up / wiping off excess
A bit like layering filler ?
Obvs , you would have to do it with the paint fresh wet as tacky would just be messy .
Not telling you how to , just suggesting as the product seems to be quite comprehensive .
This is a really good idea and one I have tried previously but wanted to do it just as the company say which to be honest is not the best I think. I think your suggestion is a better way so will be following up with this and seeing how I get on. Cheers 👍🏼
Great review, I've used the kit and have some great results.one or two deep chips are a bit more challenging but try and build up slowly may be over a couple of weekends. Great vlog and don't need another one so good luck to the lucky winner

Good work Dazzle 👌🏼, definitely an improvement. An old tip for the really small chips instead of those supplied brushes is to use the tip of a cocktail stick, will save putting too much paint on. Also if I'm not mistaken, that blending solution is an isopropanol solution.

Yeah I get that whole black marks on white cars and vice versa, my black car is covered in white chips. Good product reviews though.. I’d happily like a 50% off code 🤞🏼

I have a Turbo Blue TTS and really into my detailing but the white stone chips on the bonnet are soul destroying. I think modern paints aren't as durable. It has only got 23k on the clock and has more chips than my 20 year old Fiesta. I used Chippex on my previous car a Red Scirocco. The colour match was great but I found it washed out after a few washes. I did follow the instructions My Kranzle jet wash does pump out a lot of water but I did reduce the pressure as well.
Oh god no, will the jet spray undo it all again?
So I've been getting ads for this the last week or so, which is how I found this video. Any idea on another product that may be better?
Got quite a few stone chips on my silver C7 so they're pretty noticeable with the black behind it.
So I’ve established that you need to use this over and over again for a few weeks until you’ve built up the level of paint. Then fine sand down the area with 2000 and polish up
Another great video buddy I did try that product and I agree with u it’s not amazing but it definitely makes it look better
I’m debating about getting my bumper resprayed but at the same time is it worth it if it’s just ganna get chipped again

But the under the chips are white 😢

I find the chippex pretty poor to be honest, not a great result. The only way to correctly do it is take your time, layer upon layer over a week until proud, then once fully hardened sand back with 3,000 W&D and then buff.

I am sorry but the Chipex repair still looks poor in my opinion on your Audi TT.
I have tried their product on two occasions before on two different cars and the time and patience you have to put in does not provide a satisfactory finish.
The other issue is that the area repaired is a matt finish so does not reflect or have the same gloss finish because Chipex do not supply lacquer.
I have gone back to OEM paint stick sets and a polishing compound to achieve a more satisfactory results at a fraction of the cost of a Chipex kit.

Yes I agree, I’m going to build up the paint in the areas across several days then will use my OEM touch up kit lacquer to seal it. I’ll get it as best as I can
@@ITSARAPPTTRS The kit is well put together and has potential, it just takes too much time to get a half decent result. Not having a lacquer is a serious omission as this would give a smooth surface area once lightly polished to match to the original,paint better. Good luck with the chips on your TT
You made it worse by dabbing it. I was looking forward to seeing this. Waste of time , effort and money. I bet that kit isn’t cheap. I gently rubbed my sone chips flat with 2000 wet and dry then dabbed paint on, waited 24 hours then 2000 again then lacquer then flat again…. gently then polishing. Agreed took time but cost me £15.
Yes I wanted to do it just as they say for the video but there is much better ways I reckon including yours so thanks for the advice, really appreciated 👍🏼
Best advice yet, above. You need to sand smooth, clean, build up the paint over and over until a crown of paint, then sand down with 1500 grit followed by 2000 grit, then compound polish….. you would struggle to see it after.
