    Absolutely the best chip repair kit I’ve ever used. Someone had already done a few chip repairs using something else and the difference between these and my efforts with chipex are like night and day. Just take your time and the kit works very well.

      Can this kit masker some chips 100%?

      @@quinten5993 I’ve covered most chips so they can’t be seen without looking very hard and close. Heavy scratches not 100% but probably with a second go.

    I had high hopes for my kit, shame it doesn't work anywhere near as well as they claim. I spent a couple of hours following the instructions then watching this video and watching other videos and trying again and again. The best I've got is a chip which looks exactly like a chip with some paint in the bottom of it. Nothing remotely like the invisible or nearly invisible repairs they claim to get.
    I guess thats why they offer money off or freebies if you post decent pictures online for them - they know its not gonna happen.

    Looks brilliant from a few feet away but any closer and the repairs are darker. Building up in layers makes a difference .

    I’ve just used this and the colour match is good. But the finish I achieved isn’t anywhere near as good as the video. It’s left a dull paint area despite following the instructions and video.

    I call shenanigans. I've been trying for days to get something even vaguely like that finish, and no matter what, it looks crap and stands out a mile.

    Support from Chipex is abominable . For over a month unable to receive the kit.

    Hi I am looking at getting this for a pink suzuki alto that has had deliberate damage done and just wondering if its any different in metallic type finishes or will the chipex team mix a blend to corre tly match the paint on the car

      They go off the paint code. On your car. It worked on my insignia my red jag didn’t match had to get body shop to retouch. Now done my black Audi. It works well with that try the. Small touchup. They do give money. Back if it doesn’t match

    When you applied the paint when did you rub with lacquer? Did you wait until it dry then wipe all over the car ?

    • @JayGee6996
      @JayGee6996 3 года назад +1

      You wait between 5 and 10 mins

  • @elyedai
    @elyedai Год назад +3

    The instructions they provide are contradictory, on the manual that comes with the kit it says not to leave paint untreated for longer than 5 minutes and that 5 minutes is the longest it would take for the paint to dry, here he’s saying that paint can take up to 10 minutes to dry lol so which one is it?

    I guess this works better on a newer car? If paint is faded on an older car it's gonna look crap, and you'd be better off going for a full paint correction. Mine arrives soon, I have some stone chips on a year old car - which has been well looked after, so will be curious to see the results on a newer vehicle where the paint is like new

    Hahahaha, What a load of crap !!! The hood after the repair is NOT THE SAME HOOD WITH THE CHIPS !!! Don't get scammed, I own a body shop that specialize in spot repairs and I'm telling you it will not look like what they are showing after the repair. The ONLY WAY to fix it and have it look like there wasn't any chips there in the first place is to have the hood repainted. Only thing you will get out of this, is a camouflage job period !

    This is a con and they edit promotional videos and pictures. Bought Chipex kits for my 2 cars, I just don't get the results I keep seeing no matter how I do it and I'm a very meticulous person. Don't waste your money, just get a regular touch up pen, don't spend nearly £40 on this.
