Hey John, awesome race brother. Our pace is damn near matched. I just missed you yesterday, you were in split two I was in split three. Really hope to race you some day. I usually get podium finishes (as long as I don't get spun) but just never have enough time to catch the leader. If the races were only 5 minutes longer 😁. Hopefully a win in the near future. And by the way, luck had nothing to do with your finish bro only skill 😉. Have a great day 👍
Does Lfm have fixed or free set-up races? Because I'm looking for a fixed asset game (like Iracing) but with a view from the hood like Assetto Corsa because I don't have the space to put a huge monitor with a cockpit view. I await your new thanks
At the moment the only race series that is fixed setup in Assetto Corsa LFM is the Clio Cup. So far though to only setup changes I make are fuel level and tyre pressure, not had the time to play around with setups. Besides that when I tune a car I usually make it slower.
I only want to drive in fixed-setup races to be on equal terms without wasting time being a setup engineer. People no longer want to waste time with setup and want to ride and have fun
@@John74YT We need to require fixed setup games. Anyone who wastes time changing setups loses fun and gets unnecessarily stressed. Games with setup can fail for me
Hi John, Extric Racing / Russell recommended you when I asked him if the MX-5 Cup cars in AC were similar to the ones in iRacing. Could you answer me that question?
Hi, the MX5 is very different as it's far more driver friendly thank to Assetto Corsa's far more forgiving tyre model. On iRacing the car feels on a knife edge at the rear ready to bite you if you brake slightly to hard or turn in a little to sharply. On Assetto Corsa the car is more playfull and forgiving at the limit of it's grip. Also you can have ABS/TC on or set to factory like I do so if real car has it the car I'm racing has it. The setup is open so if you want a car more aggressive you can play with the settings but so far I only adjust fuel level and tyre pressure. Hope that helps.
@@John74YT yes it is really helpful. At the moment I drive in assetto Corsa without any driving assistance and I am not much slower than you. My consistency is at the moment at around 54.5 and my best laptime overall was a 53.9 at Brands Hatch Indy. This is my first week that I am playing sim races with a wheel
@formelstrategy7165 If you plan to do races in the MX5 don't leave it until the last moment to sign up as it's a popular series and limited to 125 entries, good luck 👍🏻
@@John74YT my plan is it to get comfortable with the wheel and the cars in sim games. Mostly without any assistance and want to be competitive enough for races in iRacing. I want to start in iRacing around September/October
@formelstrategy7165 On iRacing rookie racing I would also recommend the Formula Vee car as I have had some great races in that car. Just don't bother going down to 2nd once you're off the grid. ruclips.net/video/5_uPtQ4r1YY/видео.htmlsi=dxY6PGPcAHggN9um
how do you set the MX5 for paddle shifting in LFM? if i just put it on autoclutch and autoblip, i cant use my paddle shifters. if i put it on automatic shifting, it upshifts and downshifts by itself. im comfused on this

Thank you 👍🏻 Hopefully we will be in the same split fighting for the win some day 🏁🏆
Great J. That's what they see, everyone makes mistakes and they are the spice of the race. Now you had the right spices in this soup.
Thank you 👍🏻. In the right place at the right time 😎🏁
Great result John, take the result any way in comes! 😅
Thank you 👍🏻 I wasn't about to mess that result up.
Well done John about time you had some look coming your way 👍
Thank you 👍🏻 all about being in the right place at the right time.
God I love LFM. Finally I can properly race online with AC!
Have fun 👍🏻
Hopefully AC2 will have features like rolling start.
It will be interesting to see what it does have when it comes out.

@ciaoo5612 That one thing iRacing does well as a lot of the races series run fixed or open setup on alternate hours.
Congrats mate good for you
Thank you much appreciated 👍🏻

Sounds like you need to rebind your shifters maybe. Can do it on content manager if I remember rightly.
@@John74YT my shifters still work if automatic shifting is checked, but of course it will still upshift and downshift if i dont do it manually. hmm
@@John74YT i found the problem. you have to uncheck "use H-shifter" in content manager to use paddles
Glad you solved the mystery 👍🏻
Is the mx5 autoclutch or do you have to turn it on in settings?
You have to put the autoclutch on, I have both autoclutch and autoblip on. Can find them in assists on content manager.
@@John74YT Thanks mate. This lfm series looks fun, I'll have to give it a go
